  1. Roberts was an animal even at that age....he went to Weston Park who we always managed to draw in the semi-finals. Most of the Saints schoolboys came from Weston Park where the manager taught Alec Perkins?
  2. Why? At the fans forum AP clearly stated that he would be in favour of a DOF in certaing circumstances and gave the 53 agents calling him as an example. Did McParland get a team relegated....has McParland a managerial record compared to Uncle Albert from Only Fools and Horses....sunk everywhere he has been? Did McParland saddle his team with 7 of the worst loans and players a side has seen?
  3. I played against him at school against Merry Oak....think he got a hat-trick and was light years above everyone else at that age.
  4. No he hasn't...I understand in France you don't get to see many games ART but he has been awful in the games he has played in. AP gets to see them in training far more than we do, he mentioned that Gillet needed to do more - in the open session he didn't look very good and gave the ball away a lot. Against Torquay he was abysmal.
  5. But there were good resons for those substitutions and if you look at why they were made - mainly Mills - Harding was getting stuffed down that side so he bought on someone with pace and is primarily a full back to bolster that side. Wotton was bought on to add additional height in front of the back four - he hasn't done bad since(apart from Torquay).
  6. I was at that game I think it was Spurs at home....the £11m Rebrov played that night....or was on the pitch lets say. It took me until the second half to realise he was playing he was that awful.
  7. Exactly....but can't believe some want to stay in this division! Going up will allow us to attract even better players - for me we have the basis of a decent CCC squad But its too early yet I just want us out of the bottom four as I am fed up with seeing us down there...all last season and this.
  8. I have seen Pulis play twice....thats some doing considering his record. On both occasions he was way off the pace, constantly giving silly fouls away plus a couple of shocking tackles, his inability to find a team mate consistently from ten yards was astounding. He kept trying to get involved and was calling and encouraging which is fine but you must have some ability to be taken serious...unfortunately on both occasions he didnt show any.
  9. Its Pulis to Lincoln for a month
  10. It was £5 a crutch.
  11. Am a bit concerned we are over confident on this one....ok its Torquay but we have a history of losing games we should of won.
  12. Yep I can always be relied on to lend a crutch or two.
  13. then get a bigger incontinence bag....tie up your trouser legs...thanks to the Big Yin.
  14. Thats exactly what a mate and I were discussing on Saturday, that this league we have seen teams play football far more than last season. Teams seem to at least try and play the ball around rather than some of the hoof merchants we saw last season. Of course there are one or two exceptions like Colchester who were the worst team I have ever seen at SMS.
  15. Yep as have had 5 knee ops as opposed to your tiny little one.....done it loads just store them under the seat.
  16. Bugger me thats a bit pedantic isn't it...it was 3 as he beat the keeper as well ;-) Don't get me wrong he is not the finished article in a long shot but he is different to anything we have. I can't understand why the Northam chant for Saga when Papa has had more attempts at goal in his couple of games and looked far more dangerous.
  17. Cripes if thats not slating him I dread to think what is....no pace. dreadful touch, not up to the pace of the game, wasted passes, no final ball. Yet you omit the fact he scored again, kept their defence busy all game, the mazy run that beat 3 defenders that nearly led to a goal...go and look for some positives they are their if you try hard enough.
  18. Been raving about him for weeks - his presence up front, the way he leads the line, a proven finisher, wins loads in the air and links all others around him. Listening to Pardew on the radio tonite saying they have been working him hard and its certainly paying off.
  19. I would too as he keeps 2 or 3 defenders busy and occupied he is an outlet that we haven't had to use his pace. Did you hear 'Mills?' on Radio Solent who said he was rubbish and should be sent packing? I wonder if any other club has as many numpties at football fans as we do.
  20. Lambert was absolutely awesome today....he can become the idol we have been missing since Theo left. Funnily enough his armchair critics have disappeared tonite.
  21. Thats exactly what I said today...he is so gangly and awkward he confuses defenders who dont know which way he is going to go....nor does he to be honest ;-)
  22. Problem is as I see it that Pardew (who is still our manager ATM) thought that the DOF role was only good to help with transfers/agents and sorting that side out. Given the fact that KK signed some abysmal players at Newcastle and one of the reasons why they bought in a DOF so he couldnt buy any more duds I can't see KK being any good here apart from as you say PR.
  23. Sorry to keep picking on your posts but thats a bit mental isn't it given that AP tried everything he could to keep him!!! Was it AP fault that Stern's agent got him a move to a division higher....BWP was also moved on a division higher and can you tell me what BWP did here to keep him?
  24. So you do think he is a good manager for this league but not good enough to sort out our problems? Please don't bring Lowe into this its pointless and done to death.....even in your post you could see the errors in the ways of loveable old rosey cheeks and its still only 10 games not 10 years thats what most people are saying its not blind faith its too early given all the crap he inherited. I don't follow Pardew blindly and think he is getting near the point of losing the goodwill and faith if he doesn't deliver in the next few months. Fans are fickle...there are plenty on here who change there allegance from week to week. There have been massive improvements in the squads ability, some of the football against Rovers was quality -I still feel physically sick at that last goal as its one too many for me. But AP needs to sort out the width and pace and quick. I believe we all want results...another relegation would finish off many.
  25. Well he has scored more than Saga this season ;-)
