  1. As much as I dislike the Skates I do not want them to go out of business, there are many small businesses(fishmongers etc), families and dare I say odd decent fan that does not deserve this and would suffer as such. We were in a similar position and got lucky.....there for the grace of god and all that. Harry will come in and rescue them anyway he said as much recently and I believe evry word he says...Pinocchio.
  2. He would of played him left wing.
  3. Also Madjewski isn't mentally unstable enough to get rid of a decent manager and bring in useless Dutchmen with history of failure wherever they have been unlike here at that time. Makes you realise how great going to SMS is now with only Papa and offside to shout about ;-)
  4. Where the **** do you get depressed out of a 2 line post? You never saw the game did you.. for the first 20 minutes we looked poor...tired, off the pace, lumping balls forward to a lone striker against a giant of a defender. Playoffs ...we looked more like relegation certainties had we played against a decent team not Wycombe. Pardew changed the tactics and its brilliant to have someone who reads the game and not go Burleyesque! We then at times showed the gulf in class but then the crowd and players got frustrated with us not killing it off. It was then comedy of errors, shocking misses and worry that they would snatch victory from us with a fluke or lucky deflection. No-one was more elated and pleased with a victory than me...it was bloody freezing at SMS and it warmed me up tremendously getting out of the bottom 4. But Wycombe were abysmal and I refuse to get carried away and will not do until we are up the table and away. I have supported Saints for too long not too - we are an injury away from Lambert to be up the creek again or someone luring away our management team. If thats being depressed so be it I think its more realism.
  5. TBF Wycombe were pretty sh1te and wouldn't of scored if they had stayed all night! I cannot remember more than 1 save from Bart and think that was going wide.
  6. Me too especially as I have a hotel booked for this one....New Years shopping then seeing Saints beat Brentford was the plan...I forgot to look at the cup dates..what a plonker!
  7. We didnt mate we won at home...but get your point. How many games over the years have we lost like this one? A win is a win...I would rather us win 3-2 each week then see us go out ultra defensive and get 0-0's. Yes a clean sheet would be nice but whilst we are winning I don't give a dam. Nice positive post Alps keep it up.
  8. Is that lorry full of Liebherr's money you keep wanting to spunk away?
  9. Can you send John Westwood your seat number so he knows which one to urinate on. I agree it makes sense but this is England and 'every mans home is his castle' and we are a mental territorial lot and would never be able to get past those prejudices you mentioned. The West Ham - Millwall riots this year showed this country still has a long way to go before we could even consider ground sharing unless its with another sport like Rugby(but who wants a ruined pitch!)
  10. Are you being serious or is this another one of your wind up posts? Last time I looked Sheff Weds were a division higher.....tough choice for Feeney! "Ok Max....Leeds who look like walking the league this year are interested in you or there is Southampton who are in the relegation zone"....you decide!
  11. Probably because he didn't want to dislocate his shoulder again ;-)
  12. Whilst I think Adam has a talent I am not so sure he is Premiership material, he lacks the one thing that you need at that level and thats pace. Yes he has fantastic ability on the ball at this level but can that be transferred up 2 levels against far better quality defenders...mostly internationals? I think he will move on in the summer but can see it being to one of the top CCC not Premiership it just may be a recently promoted CCC side though.
  13. Yep must of been abysmal training and getting an apprenticeship from one of the best footballers in the world at that time Thierry Henry. He has been unlucky with injuries....that doesn't mean he hasn't learnt anything watching, training and being coached by some of the best. Afterall he could of turned down the chance of a Wenger for a Wotte!
  14. Totally agree....now just how do we get rid of that trumped up tart Jordan who I cannot tolerate.
  15. I heard on the radio this morning that they are clamouring to sign up Jedward for their autobiography! At a price so far of £250k....wtf!! I hate the way society now triumphs talentless numpties just because they appear on a 2nd rate reality TV.
  16. 2 sloppy goals from mistakes which are happening far too free frequent but the one big positive I take is that now at long last from set pieces we actually compete and win headers. After watching season upon season of forwards having free headers in our area this is one positive we can take....if you want to.
  17. As I have never served HM forces being the coward that I am its difficult to criticise him. Without knowing the conditions he was asked to work in either BUT there are many soldiers especially in the 1st WW that served in far worse conditions who didnt run. He did sign up knowing full well what a ****e place the world is and us being the lapdog of the US getting drawn into their wars that there was a huge possibility he would face action. As you say when you sign up you sign away all freedom of speech. When I left school a few mates joined up..I didn't as I didn't want to go to N Ireland to be shot at or blown up was NI far worse than Afghanistan? This war is far more political than any other I have known and everyday you hear stories of under equipped soldiers fighting a war that many feel we should not be involved in and to that the reason those groups are all too willing to use him as a hero for desertion to get one back at Brown. I have nothing but admiration for the forces that are serving, however it was their choice to sign up and should carry out whatever is being asked. Charged for desertion is where I come down on here.
  18. The point about 10 point penalties is that we had to go full tilt at every game with the best available and no chance to rotate. Also the fact that we didnt exactly have the best of squads to start with or at least settled like a number of others. No excuses today just didn't want it enough ...whereas Brighton did.
  19. What changed the game was when Poyet switched Cox from left to their right to exploit the gap behind Lallana - the first goal came from his cross about 2 minutes after the change. Up until then Antonio had been tearing them apart Poyet doubled up with someone else freeing up Cox to supply the forwards. Connoly should be sub....if you are going to play Lallana then you need 5 in midfield to accomodate him.
  20. How many had a -10 penalty that needed wiping out before they could start? Sorry they are pro footballers and should be able to handle playing twice a week. We had an extra days rest as well - we were just plainly beaten by a team that wanted it more today.
  21. To be honest nor was he....I can't understand why we kept Connolly on and didn't put Papa on at h/t. We would of had someone with pace at them instead of the cross-cross-cross not competing. When you are losing why not throw on another forward like Paterson instead of Mills who brings what difference? Poor on the pitch today and off it for me but beaten by a team that wanted it more.
  22. That was mine as well. Sat in amongst the great unwashed and cheered every Saints goal. Well you could then.
  23. Hallelujah I thought it was just me! He was shocking jut look how many times Wes Brown overlapped and put out of position by his ****e play.
  24. That must be the biggest understatement ever! How the hell does SWP get picked? Bent is static but no support ....massive gap between strikers and midfield. When we get the ball we go back....and back and back....they have no left back and a masive gap to exploit. Brazil might just up the tempo in a bit and swat us away. Forecast 2-0 Brazil if we carry on like this.
  25. I think some of us have so been used to having lightweight, non-committed. small, useless centre halves since Killer that we may be going over the top. He wins so many headers though and its brilliant that from set pieces we now compete rather than conceding almost everytime like last season.
