For me it's because I think its a bloody disgrace clubs like Luton, Rotherham and even Bournemouth were severely punished for being half in the sh1te compared to the Skates. Bournemouth never failed to pay players or staff yet are still unable to sign anyone - only relaxed last week to allow 1 player in as emergency.

Stoke have bid 3m for Begovic so thats more money in the coffers....they will get out of this and wriggle away scot free.

Puncheon Signs 3 1/2 Yr Contract at Saints
Give it to Ron replied to Somewhere In Northam's topic in The Saints
I agree NC looking back to the Ipswich game and the number of times Garvin and Leadbitter got beyond their attackers...when did we see this lately? Our midfield is so static that we are so easy to play against. Morgan is a pretty player with no pace, Holmes cannot run past anyone and Wotton would be beaten over 10 yards by Heather Mills! Is Puncheon that sort of midfield player if he isn't then no different to what we have. The same as Barnard from what I have seen in 3 games is he that different to Saga...couldn't the money we paid be used to pay his wages? He certainly is no substitute for Ricky! No pace, power or strength to lead the line SO FAR. -
Thanks for that...was looking for it on Sopcast

Well how come James is in goal today - I saw on here that he has to have a new contract if he plays one more game - b/s then??

Saints V Stockport County - Post Match Reaction
Give it to Ron replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
Pardew did say that we have some big games coming up and he has that extra quality and he will probably feature in those. -

I am gobsmacked at that....he was the only player likely to create anything until Papa came on. He had them in all sorts of problems with his pace and trickery(well he doesn't know what he is going to do). He was the only player we had with pace and Barnard, Lambert and Holmes were never going to run past the last man. -
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11768_5897325,00.html I used to watch this nipper play at Staplewood when he was in our academy. Had a sweet left foot but was very quiet on the pitch. When he was released we were a lot higher up and a big gap to push on through. I am glad he has gone on to make it elsewhere.

Did you see on SSN New paper round up they said Mido was coming in on loan WTF how on earth are they going to pay him?
-
It was me that saw him...its true he went for an x-ray.

They will get taken over and bailed out...the devil looks after his own as the saying goes. Happened with Mandaric and they got lucky with the collapse of ITV Digital. I think they will get out of this and be stronger for it.
-
Just for your info....Rupert never was the owner and like many he didn't like him either.smiley winky thing

Why does it when most people exit and go over the bridge? Are you willing to walk all the way around to get across the Northam Road?? The away fans will have to be kept in the ground until everyone has gone and that won't happen. Also the away fans will have to walk past all the Northam crowd to get to the coaches....good idea that! The problem with the plan as I see it is away fans collecting tickets from the ticket office before the match and its quite a queue at times then have to get to the other end of the stadium past all saints fans a recipe for trouble IMO.

Am I missing something here? You have an embargo lifted and £1.6m given to you....what will that buy you? You have missed the wages 3 months out of 4 yet this will get you out of a mess? For nearly a month you could of sold anyone yet the only one gone is Williamson and we all know the **** up you made of that one. You may get back O'Hara agreed but how will you pay him?? Future sales will only go to pay debts and you have what 5 days to agree getting in Riquelme including his medical and pay his agent ;-)
-
Won't the £1.6m be paid to Sol....thats how much he is owed isn't it for his image rights???
-
+1 You only have to look at the number of threads on here as proof. Getting to the playoffs is a must to keep our better players interested and here. As someone pointed out yesterday....in the relegation season we beat them twice....whats remembered the most???
-
He is bang on...did you expect him to say "we will beat the fishy xxxxx"!" Pardew has to play this down as much as possible we have a lot of important games between now and the FA cup game.
-
We had 2 quotes recently for our en-suite about the same size between £300-350 including grout etc.

Leeds or Spurs away
-
Daft comment at the end Dave...we are 2 divisions away from Spurs and what 7 months into our rebuilding? Was it our fault Ipswich couldn't finish their dinner let along a chance and I think you do our defence a massive injustice - we threw ourselves at crosses, blocked them and got bodies in the way and made it difficult. I agree with Wotton and James but given they are what 3 or 4th choice against the very good Garvan etc I am not surprised they got over run. At least we played with width and wingers today with Holmes and Antonio ;-)

I thought Jaidi was outstanding in the air and even on the floor today, great game from Thomas - best in a Saints shirt. Perry had a wobbly 5 minutes just before half time but recovered to have a very good match overall. I don't think I have seen so many crosses come into our box as the first half and oh how I wish we had a keeper that would come and claim the ball on the 6 yard line. Interesting debut from Barnard he clearly has a football brain - he took up some dangerous positions and against League 1 defenders will score a few. For 200k he looks a decent acquistion but can't see how he can be a Lambert replacement by his size, pace and game as he is another Saga type player.
