My concern would be around any reaction from the St Mary’s area so not parking where I usually do and trying Ocean Village. Southampton is a multi cultural city it has its problems but it works.

I was saying same last night , look back to West Ham away season relegated we put one ball in and he hit bar with header. He is an option we don’t have or had for a while. It’s clear we can only spend more on players from money players we sell so utilise what we have? How can he be any worse than Mara? He is an option we don’t have for last 15 minutes of games and I think Arma would be good with him plus Suga would have someone to cross to. So many times at Millwall on Saturday (I was there) Suga had to turn back as no options as Smallbone had come inside. It was great having Suga as free option but with no forward to hit we go nowhere but backwards.

Of course it did we couldn’t take the chance then of risking kids over proven prem squad players. The aim was promotion that was Martins sole goal not blood kids in a tough division. To say Martin doesn’t play youngsters is quite honest bollox and this pre season has proved that look at our teams. Of course they are not prem standard and we know that and we all know where needs improvement

Never needed to get out of 3rd gear, Suga and Charlie Taylor decent with CT balance on left. Suga was outlet with nothing ahead of him. Smallbone frustrating not showing enough. Aribo great on ball but we had no threat. Edozie who I like just looks lost no confidence to go by any one should have scored. Dibling/SAA/Diaz looked more of a threat. poor crowd but Millwall terrible side we strolled there via Waterloo Fire Station pub , Borough Market Southwark Tavern , no trouble or any sign of a skate stinking out the place. Need to improve first team but we all know that. Goalkeeper, Flyn cover, wide and a forward to compete

Bang on David, we only went up because Bazanu got injured, McCarthy came in we went to back 5 and cut out the passing in our box. He seemed to realise McCarthy can’t do that yet last night he was expected to do something he clearly can’t nor can Lis. We don’t have a goalkeeper that can pass out and actually make saves how we can consistently cock this up baffles me. Forster(new contract then release) McCarthy, Bazanu, Lis and what’s the point of Lumley?
