  2. Pretty good between 1-0 and 2-0, heads notably dropped after that. I think with our all action pressing style, on the rare occasions we do go two down we are pretty well down and out.
  3. In the game i'm watching we have had two gilt edged chances both created by superb skill from Rickie - which channel is the game you lot are watching on?
  4. Well done Duncan for pointing out that we are only being fed a carefully spun singular side to this story by people with their own vested interests at heart. The fact that you did this via a carefully spun singular side to the story with your own vested interests at heart is completely irrelevant imo.
  5. Sadly nowhere near Plymouth! Mid Devon - about a 20 min drive from Tiverton/Crediton.
  6. One adult, one child for the family stand - but you would need to come and pick them up!!
  7. Can't see Osvaldo either - and unless someone can correct me I can't EVER remember seeing a high profile player absent from the training gallery and then be in the starting eleven. No Osvaldo tomorrow (nap).
  8. Last week MP was very matter of fact that he picks the team depending on performances, training etc......this week we have pictures of Gaston "fully recovered from the illness that kept him out last weekend!" Evens Starts Evens Bench 25/1 Left out in the cold again.
  9. Just wondering if people flit between these (perceived) groups or whether once you're in there is no going back. It's not been a good few years for the bedwetters, so are the people currently saying "you're living in cuckoo land if you think this side will finish top ten" the same people who have made the same accusation re automatic from L1/automatic from FLC/survival last year. We know that for attention seeking/mental health problems a few posters will always look on the side of doom and gloom, but do others flit between the two? For what it's worth I consider myself an optimistic realist (definitely a happy clapper to some) who was confident of most of our successes in recent years, but pleasantly surprised by our Championship season.
  10. Barry, you really SHOULD make sure you go before bedtime - even if you don't think you need to.....
  11. Before.... If we sell Shaw i'll be really ****ed off. If we sell Schneiderlin i'll be really ****ed off. If we sell Rickie i'll be really ****ed off. If we sell Cork i'll be really ****ed off. If we don't do our business early i'll be really ****ed off. If we don't bring in a quality CB i'll be really ****ed off. If we don't brng in a quality midfielder i'll be really ****ed off. If we don't bring in a quality striker i'll be really ****ed off. After...... We lost narrowly, in arguably unlucky fashion away to Norwich the other day - ignore everything I said before the window, i'm REALLY ****ed off. The moral of this story is it doesn't matter how much you had to drink, or whether you went just before bedtime - if you're a bedwetter you're gonna **** the bed.
  12. 1/6 with Skybet.
  13. Whilst I doubt Skybet would lay you any more than a handful of buttons, surely the 4/6 they are still offering is like finding it in the street now that we have had the official VMan smiley?
  14. The 10/11 didn't last long - into 4/6 with Skybet. (Disclaimer: whilst this is clearly not a bad thing, neither is it in any way a guarantee of a good thing).
  15. The skybet thing is a complete red herring imo. They have never had a market on this so it is not like they have stopped taking bets, they never started. With Wanyama it was known that other clubs were interested, with Banega it's only us allegedly. Therefore the market is really whether he will stay or go, and you will note they aren't offering prices on him staying either - so is that a done deal too?
  16. Just to put things in context. No, we are not safe, but the facts are we have been excellent for most of the season, were excellent and unlucky today, and are extremely unlikely to go down.
  17. You're just not applying logic there mate - Sunderland will have a huge backlash from their poor result tonight and thrash us. We won't have ANY backlash from our poor result and will just get more poor results - that's the kind of logic you need....
  18. Could somebody hurry up and take the bait and start arguing with him please - otherwise his blood pressure will go through the roof and we'll have to increase his meds. Ta.
  19. Some FACTS (!) on the matter. 1) His dead ball delivery yesterday was, mainly, bitterly disappointing as it often has been this season. 2) He put himself about, had several sublime touches and took his goal beautifully. 3) Young man, foreign country, next season blah, blah, blah is perfectly valid stuff. 4) 99% of people on here regard MLT as the greatest saint, a unique talent and one they were happy to pay to watch every week. The reality is that if the internet had been around at the time, apart from a couple of seasons in the mid 90's a good chunk of them would have been having a similar debate about whether he was worth his place in the team on a weekly basis. Gaston's pefromance yesterday was on a different planet from numerous ones in Matty's career when he really did do just about nothing as well as not tackling or putting in a shift and being petulent. MLT was of course ALWAYS worth his place for what he could do on the days when it came off, and Gaston is no different for me until there is a lot of evidence to the contrary.
  20. In conclusion then, we didn't have a chance of getting anything at Norwich, and yet our point is a dismal result, and Ramirez and Lallana were both absolutely awful and the decision to replace them shows just quite how clueless our manager is. Answers on a postcard.....
  21. That's kind of my point Ottery - we will, imo, be much better next week, and people on here will say "that's more like it, great comeback, why couldn't we have done that last week etc", when the truth will be we will have been better suited to playing an average team who are having a go at us because they are at home.
  22. This forum of course, not the team yesterday. They suffered, as they have so many times before, to break down a team who came to defend. We lacked the guile and pace in behind to create chances just as we did against similar teams in Wigan and Sunderland. It had absolutely nothing to do with any lack of heart or effort - that is just a lazy label tagged on by "supporters" as soon as the whistle blows on a sub-standard result.
  23. El Cakeico. When you see some lazy hack (I'm looking at you Peach) put this in their column make sure they bung me a tenner. Ta.
  24. I'm a big Gaston fan. Whilst I concur that for a variety of reasons we have not got what we want out of him, I have no doubt about his talent and am desperate for him to do well. For these reasons, having read the match threads I was watching him on the extended Sky highlights through my fingers waiting for him to have a shocker - and he simply didn't. He was involved in our pressing up the field (he actually won the ball two or three times), played some nice balls and one fantastic ball that frankly should have led to a goal. The only negatives were a couple of things that didn't come off (they don't all) and one really poor miss (no excuses there). Whilst I would certainly have liked more from him (as I would many in the first half, he was much better than Puncheon for example) the accepted post match opinion that he was the worst player on the pitch who couldn't have cared less and did literally nothing is risible nonsense.
