  1. Bloody crap fellas...sorry, just hope nobody lost any money on the sh1t Frankie
  2. Hi all.. some really interesting racing today, and a fair few horses that interest me so could cost/make you a few quid if you follow me: Exeter: 2.10 Uffa Fox...Was once useful and the stable have very few runners, but I have a feeling this will run well today 3.10 I tipped Ibberton a couple of days ago, and he is fancied to win this as he did last year..but he is unreliable at the moment, so the one I am going for is Bernard (also my brothers name) he has good course form, winning here twice and if he is over his injury he will hopefully run well. 3.40 Silverburn was very talented when with Paul Nicholls and looked to have regained some of that form before falling two runs back...I will give him one more chance today at what should be a nice price. 4.40 Was interested in Bishy Barnaby but he is now a non runner, Gentle George should take all the beating, but Ask again has been very prolific in point to point races and has been placed in hunters before, if the fav should happen to run below par he may capatalise. Note : Many of these selections at Exter I have followed over a cliff, so my heart may be ruling my head. Yarmouth: I thought Top Tigress would be fav for this, so at 7.4 on betfair he is a must bet, he was hampered at wolverhampton on his first start and would almost have certainly won. Stable form is a worry, but at this price he is a must bet. 4.00 Strange race as the main fancies have never run on turf..I am going for an unexposed type in The Strig, he won his maiden well and is improving with every run, he needs to improve again and hopefully he will. I have also had a word for Calzaghe in the 5.00...not my tip though mind you Pontefract: Looks hard at Ponte today, theres a couple I fancy at nice prices plus a couple that I have had tips for my selections are: 3.50:Go Amwell 4.20:Ouster win Solent (E/W) 5.50 Night Cruise O.K I have had tips for Kiwi Bay in the 3.20 and Cornus in the 5.20 both have been backed and look useful I really fancied Moose Moran in the 2.50, but Johnstons is now a non runner and he is a very short price so best left alone, especially as Zuider Zee looks useful. Good luck all and win loads Frankie
  3. A few to look at today.. Starting at Sedgefield I see Nina Carberry is there, the horses she is riding seem to be very short prices, meaning other horses are better value, she may well win a race but there is value to be had me thinks: 2.10 Bringewood Belle- Not bad form and needs this to get a handicap mark which is interesting 2.40-Impact Zone - Good Irish point to point form and very interesting here especially if theres money for it. 3.40 Agreeing with Notnowcato here-Dr Valentine, wide margin winner last time over course and distance. 4.40 Robin De Sherwood - Belem Ranger was unlucky at Aintree last week, but i'm looking to Robin De Sherwood to run another sound race and hopefully upset the fav. Windsor 2.20 Zebedee must be well thought of as he has attracted some good money, but I will be looking to the experience of Scarlet Rocks to win with a little each way on Evans other runner Joyously. 2.50 Captain Cool - He has had plenty of racing without yet breaking his maiden tag, hopefully today will be the day 3.20 Cheam Forever - A big price for this one, he won handicaps at this trip last summer and hopefully will carry on his good form here. 4.20 - Zowington - I follow Williams horses closely, this looks to have little chance but if there is money for it you can be sure it will run well, one to watch. Folkestone 4.00 Aquarias Star - He ran in two very good maidens last year, hopefully he will be fully wound up and not just looking to get a good handicap mark. 5.00 Uncle Keef - Tregoning is in great form and this horse showed some ability despite being green in its three starts last year. I has been gelded since and now in a handicap will hopefully show some improved form. Good luck all Frankie
  4. Not too bad a day with Bob's Dream winning at 11/4 and The Strawberry One at 7/2... One to really keep an eye on is Mr Moonshine, his jockey never got him into the race yet he finished eye catchingly to get 2nd at 8/1, expect him to be ridden much nearer the pace next time...definitely one for the notebook Frankie
  5. Hmm the flat season starts and in England we have....3 jumps meetings !!!! Bizarre I have a few fancies today, can't be arsed to put reasons will just give selections Kelso: 2.20 - Ontrack 2.50 - Bobs Dream 4.50 - Benbeoch Market Rasen 3.30 - Benmore Boy 5.00 - The Strawberry One Southwell 2.10 Heezagrey 3.10 - Benton's Choice 3.40 - Mr Moonshine Keep the stakes low today guys, not anything that really sticks out as a top bet. Frankie
  6. Should follow our tips on the other thread Ade, had a 16/1 winner last night :-) Frankie
  7. Yeah not a bad day eh, alot of placed horses here and at Aintree so Bernix was a nice finish not sure if I fancy too much today but will have a look later and post some selections..pay per view sounds good mate Frankie
  8. Sorry fellas posted on other thread so just cut and pasted my selections across OK my selections plus the fictional £100 bets 1.45 I would like to see Peddlers Cross win as he has had a great season, and was also one of my rare Cheltenham winners, but he is no value so I go for Duke of Lucca, Hobbs is a good trainer and if he settles (he didnt in his bumper run) he could well be an improving sort. Selectionuke of Lucca (£10.00 win) 2.15 A really tricky contest with many unexposed improving types.. I always say go with a horse if it is unbeaten and Bergo fits the bill, he has won 6 out of 6 chases, the drying ground should help and as long as he can overcome any traffic problems (he has only contested in small fields) he could give a good account against some of the bigger stables. Selction:Bergo(£10 win) 2.50 I like Quwetwo but all of his form has come on softer ground..there are question marks against all of these so I am going to go with an outsider. Henderson saddles Zaynar, but he also has Petit Robin, who has been chasing recently, back over hurdles (he has run twice over hurdles winning once at this distance) he could prove a good each way bet. Selection: Petit Robin (£10.00 win) 3.25 I really fancy Wogan in this, he is unexposed and has improved with each run...my only concern is that stable jockey Barry Geraghty is on Au Courant, so I will be having a few quid on him as well at a bigger price. Selections: Wogan (£20.00 win) Au Courant (£10.00 win) 4.15 Grand National...My Will...third last year, a few pounds better off this year (a lottery) Selections: My Will (£10.00 win) 5.00 A horse that I follow regularly is running in this race..Issaquah, he has been poor this season until a change of tactics saw him make all at Market Rasen where he won easily, this I believe is how he needs to be ridden, he has ability and if makes all then he will have a good chance, if he is held up then tear up your slip straight away.(he finished second in this race last year) Selection: Issaquah (£20.00 win) 5.35 Rupert Lamb...because I like the name Selection: Rupert Lamb (£10.00 Win) Good luck Frankie
  9. Well done yesterday Chrisobee I have a few away from Aintree today but don't have time to do a write up...just take my word for it :-) Lingfield looks a great little card today and I have a few fancies from there: 2.10 Pegasus Again 2.45 Jedi 3.15 Zaahy 5.10 Billberry 5.45 The Grey One 6.15 Lytham Chepstow. 4.05 Saint Espiegle Shown little form until last time when finishing like a train to come third, he was some way back and this extra furlong may help (in running he may be a huge price). If improving again he will run well at a big price. Wolverhampton 5.30 Almaty Express-showed some good form at last when third last time, his chances of winning depend on wether the stable want him to or not, look for him being backed. 8.00 Bernix..will be a big price, and has shown little form but the booking of Fallon as jockey is interesting...one to keep an eye on Good luck and have a great day all Frankie
  10. Off to the game soon..yep I know its early but I travel from the Isle of Wight and like a bloody good pint before the game :-) OK my selections plus the fictional £100 bets 1.45 I would like to see Peddlers Cross win as he has had a great season, and was also one of my rare Cheltenham winners, but he is no value so I go for Duke of Lucca, Hobbs is a good trainer and if he settles (he didnt in his bumper run) he could well be an improving sort. 11. Hate the Grand National as a betting proposition, but I will be having a few quid on My Will, good trainer, finished third last year and is a few pounds lower.. Good luck all, and lets hope the horses get round safely Frankie
  12. Sorry Supermikey...Dettori on Johnston horses at the moment seems to be awful...other jockeys are winning on them but he's not Frankie
  13. Good job you missed that mate, think it's gonna be like that this evening, you could do worse than stick your bank on a Mark Johnston double in the last two races 8.45 Damietta 9.15 Prince of Vas If not mate save it for tomorrow, Wolverhampton is a funny course Frankie
  14. Hehe , spend it wisely mate.. Frankie
  15. Had a word for Mary's Pet...looks like an Akehurst type improver but is not much of a price...leaving the rest of this evenings racing. Frankie
  16. No mate, very rarely do forecasts...way to the poor house...and as for tricasts...well Frankie. p.s. You going to the big match tomorrow Ade?
  17. Had the forecast between us mate Frankie
  18. Yeehhhaaaa... We should start charging for these tips guys Frankie
  19. Ah didnt see that you picked it as well mate, well done. Frankie
  20. Great pick mate, great race, thought Frankie Figg was going to give him a race but fell as he usually does when going well at Aintree :-) Frankie
  21. Cracking race, thought when he was taken he would fade, but kept on really gamely Frankie
  22. Agree Chris cracking race, I was out of my chair thinking Menorah had it, but Miller stayed on really well...lets hope the good racing continues today Frankie
  23. Poor results yesterday guys, sorry...Concentrating mainly on Aintree today, but away from Aintree I have picked out. Muss-4.00-So Bazaar-Interesting to see if there's money for this one, looks like a Swinbank type to improve. Muss-4.35-Ansell's Pride-Beaten favourite last time out and now a pound out of the handicap, he has course and distance form..Internationaldebut looks the one to beat 5.40-Laureldeans Best-Often avoid these apprentice handicaps but expected this to be a fav and its not so value, trainer in great form and a reliable jock. Kempton-4.10-Benartic-Good little race and this lightly raced runner is not without a chance, the 7pound claim of his jockey will do no harm. Keep an eye on bottom weight Ede's who may run well at a big price back over hurdles Kempton-4.45-Ibberton-Had this as one to follow, in a pretty poor race he should run well and has won at this distance. Good luck all....be a pain in the arse when I have to go back to work in a couple of weeks, been enjoying it on here Frankie
  24. Onto day two then guys... 2.00 I can't oppose Menorah, I love this horse, I actually saw it's first run at Naas last year when having a weekend in Dublin, had 20 euros at evens and never expected it to reach these dizzying heights..if his Cheltenham exertions have not taken too much out of him like many runners from yesterday, then he will win....for a little each way value go with Washington Irving who was smart on the flat. Selection:Menorah Eachway: Washington Irving 2.35 It has been a busy season for many of these runners, so i'm going with a less exposed type in Lenabane, he came down at the fourth fence at Cheltenham so hopefully wont have taken too much out of himself, Dessie Hughes is a shrewd trainer too and his record her is not too bad, Dessie has sent 8 runners over fences to the course (5 to this meeting without a win) but the 5 that finished their races (2 fell, 1 PU) all were in the frame - 2 wins, 1 2nd and 2 3rd's Selection:Lenabane 3.10 A cracking race, Kalahari King looked useful on his seasonal debut but then was a little dissapointing at Cheltenham...I love Monet's Garden and he loves Cheltenham, on a line of form through Alerta's Run and Oh Crick he should have the beating of many of these, I would love him to have one last hurraahhh before retiring at the ripe old age of 12. One I will be backing each way is Jack the Giant, who ran promisingly after a long lay off, and on some of his old form he would have a squeak. Selection:Monet's Garden Each Way: Jack the Giant 3.45 A pinstickers delight, There has been some good murmurings for Offshore Account, which look like turning into a bit of a gamble..I will be going for Frankie Figg, who has run here twice this year, winning and falling, he is in decent form and alot is thought of him by the stable, I will also be doing Wee Robbie, who after some patchy early form has had three solid runs and could run well again. Selections:Frankie Figg and Wee Robbie 4.20 Voramar Two is unbeaten since stepping up to 3 miles, and Western Leader will have alot of support after his classy win at Thurles, but I really fancy Wayward Prince. He was a useful pointer in Ireland before joining Ian Williams (a trainer i like, he has shown good form here finishing first at this distance on his previous run and running well on his latest run, this race and trip will take some getting and his past point to point experience should help with this. Selection:Wayward Prince 4.55 Not going to dwell on this race too much, looks almost impossible to pick a winner..but I will be having a few quid on According to Pete and at a massive price Ursis, whos trainer is in good form on the flat. Selections: According to Pete and Ursis 5.30 The irish dominated this last year, having the first three home...so it's an irish one i'm going for despite its big drift on Betfair..Dare to Doubt...going for a hattrick and Mullins has a good record in bumpers. Selection: Dare to Doubt Good luck all Frankie
