  1. What a frustrating day, as you'll see above (I have edited my quotes from earlier, many of my horses were well backed, and ran ok but no winners...ahhhhhhh. Frankie
  2. First one in, nice call mate. Frankie
  3. Lucky is what i'm not at the moment mate, my Betfair account is going down faster than a needy crack whore. So todays card is the one to turn things around then!!!! Nottingham. I just have to have a little double on Prescotts handicap debutants in the first and last race, he is a master at getting them on a low mark and running up a string of wins, bith have similar profiles, although Lutine Bell in the first, may be better over further. 3.30 Unfortunately I am opposing Chris's selection (which might be a good thing for him) and going with the unexposed Straight Laced, he showed some promise on his handicap debut and it is interesting that W Knight throws him into a race at such a longer distance, the trainer has been going well, especially a few weeks back and hopefully this will be another winner for him. 4.00 Hudoo is entered in the Oaks, so must run well / win here to justify that entry, he won on his only start last year, but at this longer trip should show more improvement. Brighton. 2.20 With Channon's stable in good form I have to back Lucky Leigh (one last time) he has the ability to win a little race like this. 4.50 The Dial House interests me, his only win was over this course, his trainer is in good form and if the horse can return to anything like he is capable then he could easily win this. Musselburgh 2.10 Fremen looks the obvious choice but I am going to oppose him with Takween, he has shown decent form in Ireland, and although he has shown little over hurdles for his current trainer this return to the flat may bring a sparkle back in his step. 2.40 Dies Solis is a well bred animal, he showed some ability last year but should improve at 3, if running to his potential he should have these for breakfast. As for the rest, i've had a few quid on Wicked wilma in the 4.40 and had a little nod and a wink for Paddy Partridge in the 5.10 I really hope my account is looking healthier come 5.20 or I may have to ask for a sub Chris. Frankie
  4. For the first time in weeks, i left most of this afternoons racing alone, had a few quid on Humbel Ben this morning and did Woolston Ferry, but other than that, left it all alone....Sacrosanctus was a great call mate, I hope you did it, plus Haatheq scooted home, I fancy a few tonight. 6.30 It's not often you get a Hannon horse as an outsider in a field of four, and its for that reason I am throwing a few pound at Rossetti, who will be fit and hopefully ready to win. 7.00 Landucci has the best looking figures on paper running consistently well, his last run, beaten just a neck by the reliable Fremen looks decent form, keep a look out for Edderys Kenswick if there is money for it. 7.30 Cecils runner has to be feared, but I like the look of Buddy Holly, he won just 3 days ago and comes out very quickly for this, he won easily last time out and looks the type to be progressing. 8.30 Bondage...thats all i'm saying...ran pretty well on handicap debut, stable going well and could improve to take this. Windsor 7.40 Ignatieff is very fast winning twice at this distance last year, this track should suit and he should give a good account of himself. 8.40 Sequillo should have the class to win this, he was very consistent last year and has won on this course, stable is in great form. Good luck all Frankie
  5. Cheers Chris.. Quiet day today, like you I fancy Elusive sue I have also gone for. 3.40 Tiger Reigns 4.10 French Applause 4.40 One More Tico 5.10 Atlantic Beach Doing Nicky Nutjob and Farmer Frank at Market Rasen and fancy Lady Sorcerer (Nap) in the 3.20 Stratford Take care Frankie
  6. Bloody hell, a terrible day as horses go...Djing this evening so my selections for this evening for what they are worth are: Newbury 5.25 Lean Machine Doncaster 6.00 Haljaferia 7.35 Amenable 8.10 Anne of Kiev Uttoxeter 5.50 Red not blue 6.20 Tucumcari 7.25 Red Jester 7.55 Chocolat Cheers all and have a good Saturday night, whatever you may be doing Frankie
  7. Oh bugger Chris, we've shared a couple of selections here again mate...better lay them :-) Frankie
  8. Nice stats on the game Chris, I am tempted to do a bet , but so little value on anything Chelsea orientated, Pompey are currently 21/1 on Betfair to win the game !!! the only bet I can see with a little value is the Pompey +2.5 goals to lose is 2.42 on Betfair.. Frankie
  9. Hehe classic write up Chris O, although blaming me for your failing tips is a bit harsh :-) To be honest yesterday has been my first winning day in May, so now the May voodoo is broken I hope to get a few more today, but as we have stated before Saturdays often throw up some shocking results, so small stakes today. Newbury 1.25 Banana Republic was a tune written by the Boomtown Rats, lets hope this goes to the top of the charts, this race is wide open, and unless one of the newcomers is smart anything could win this, Banana Republic ran well on his second start and if showing that form again he has a great chance, my only worry is that he may be being aimed at Handicaps and they might want to get a lenient mark. 2.00 Red Merlin was ultra consistent last year before flopping on his last run, this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account for this season, he has yet to win at a distance as far as this but with question marks against alot of the runners, his stamina is worth chancing. 2.30 Monterosso looks to be a typical Johnston progressive sort, he stepped up on his all weather form when winning last time, coming late on the scene, this longer trip should suit him even better...the fav looked smart last time out but offers little value...just noticed Cecils Mingum Bell is near 50/1 on betfair and with his current form i'm throwing a couple of quid on that too. 3.05 A no bet race for me as Paco boy looks a good thing here, I will have a little each way on Prince of Dance as he showed some useful form last season and hopefully will improve for his seasonal debut 3.40 I am going for an unexposed type here, Desert Phantom has only run 6 times, winning three times as a 2 year old at this trip, he ran a promising race on his reappearance at this track, and with the able mister Hughes in the saddle he offers some value. 4.15 Dubai Media looks to have a good mark for her handicap debut, she ran better than the form figure suggests last time as she found plenty of trouble in running, if that can be avoided she should run a big race. Newmarket 2.15 Before going to Germany, St Moritz won a 7furlong handicap very easily, despite being hampered and running very green, hopefully he will make into a useful horse and that can start by winning here. 2.45 Next Move won his only start as a 2 year old then contested a very hot race here at Newmarket finishing behind coordinated cut, many of Suroors come on for the run and this unexposed type is good value. 3.25 Royal diamond was in tremendous form last year, he was well beaten on his reappearance but that was on ground he doesnt like, his best form is on this ground, his trainer and jockey are in good form and lets hope the horse gets back to good form too. At Thirsk I fancy Captain Dunne to win in the 5.00 but is a very short price, in the last there, I am dutching Absa Lutte and Bertoliver. Fancy a few tonight but will post them later, good luck today all, looks another difficult betting day. Frankie
  10. Will be the odds it goes off at mate. Frankie
  11. I have him on my horse alerts mate, is 25/1 on Betfair at the moment, just stuck a fiver on. Frankie
  12. Pretty satisfactory evening in all. The Jigsaw Man won at 7/2 after being well backed Corsica won at 11/2 despite drifting in the market, he held on gamely to win. Dubai Dynamo just held on to win at 4/1 A couple of nice places too, and Milton of Campsie ran well as predicted and was maybe a shade unlucky not to win. Onwards and upwards Frankie
  13. Had some money on Ziggy Lee so thanks for the tip, although I was thinking of doing it anyway as Williams seems to have turned the corner form wise and the horse has some decent past form. On to this evening and it has to be better than the day. Newcastle 8.25 Dubai Dynamo was very eyecatching two runs back, but played up in his last race...he likes good to firm ground and if settling will be difficult to beat. 8.55 I was going to go for Lucky Leigh again but am deserting him for Easterbys 'Revue Princess', she has won this the last two years at massive prices so shows he loves this course (in fact he has won here three times) last weeks run will hopefully have got her ready for a big run here. Hamilton. 6.50 Murura looks to have a fantastic chance, but in a trappy race he offers no value, so I will be going with Johnstons Glen Shiel, he improved with every run as a two year old, and there should be no doubts about his fitness, at 20's on Betfair he offers a good value bet. 7.25 Corsica is my pick here, Mark Johnston likes this race winning it the last three times, Corsica seems to be an improving sort and will hopefully burn off the challenge of Layali And Admission. 8.00 I really like Swinbanks Stanstill, he progressed very well last season, and despite not settling last time out, won very easily, he has fitness on his side and will take all of the beating here. 9.05 Highland Warrior looks to improving as he gets older, the game 11 year old won easily 1 run back and was runner up either side of that, hopefully he will blast out of the stalls, get to the front and stay there. Milton of Campsie will be interesting to note, he has run with some promise twice this year and looked in good form last year. Aintree 6.30 Heron Bay 7.05 The Jigsaw Man 7.40 Lisadell King 8.15 Papradon 8.45 Benheir Good luck guys Frankie
  14. Great call on Hanoverian Baron and Manifest Chris O, bloody good job you didnt follow me....terrible Frankie
  15. hehe nice write up Chris Off to work in 5 so just tips i'm afraid. York 1.40 Breedj 2.10 Fortuni 2.40 Kite Wood 3.10 Carioca 3.45 Fear Nothing 4.20 Nota Bene 4.55 Dancing Dude Bloody work, gets in the way of a good gamble. Frankie
  16. Ah I forgot the quality of the jumps tonight Ludlow 6.30 Seymar Lad 7.40 Tarvini and Purely by Chance Folestone 6.40 Lord snow 7.15 Wee Fly 7.50 Honourable Spider 8.20 Predateur Frankie
  17. Not a bad day, a couple of non runners in Extraterrestial and Mark to Market, Cape Blanco ran very well and looks a decent type, and even Super Frank ran a nice race and came 4th (although it didnt get me anything) On to this evening. Newmarket 6.15 Half Sister 7.25 Baylini 8.00 Diescentric Good luck Frankie
  18. Yeah I think your right mate, Hughes gave it a quiet ride and looked a bit scared he may have been bucked off again Frankie
  19. The curse has been broken, after a couple of seconds Kojac (who with a better ride would have won) and Graylyn Ruby, I at last have a winner with Compton Blue. Tomorrow again looks a tricky, if good quality of racing at York. 1.40 I can't back anything with any confidence in a very wide open race, but I will have a few quid on Bertoliver, who ran an o.k. first race for his new yard, and Williams likes to have a big race winner, and I will chuck a couple of quid at Elsworth's Swiss Franc, he has not shown much so far this year but the booking of Spencer to ride is eyecatching. 2.10 There's no doubt that both Sariska and Midday will take some beating, both running and winning some top class races, but I'm willing to take them on with Godolphins Flying Cloud, he was useful for Fabre, then looked even better with his first run for Godolphin, he is pretty unexposed and will hopefully improve again to win this. 2.40 Workforce is meant to be some beast, but there are question marks against him, Stoute's often need there first run and he hasn't been showing much on the gallops (although he apparently doesnt according to his trainer) because of this (now watch him win by a street) I will go for O'Briens Cape Blanco, he looked impressive last year, winning his final of 3 wins on ground he disliked, this shows a good attitude, he has only run over 7furlongs, but this longer trip should suit. 3.10 Rainbow Peak will be all the rage for this race i'm sure, but in such a competitive affair, his price is prohibitive, so I will have Extraterrestrial, he ran very well in three hot handicaps before showing little as a beaten favourite at Chester, as you know Chester is a funny track and i'm just hoping that Extraterrestial failed to act there and will put that run behind him here. Salisbury looks ok too and a few I fancy there are. 3.00 Mark to Market look an interesting horse, he has been running over further in his maidens and fading, now back in trip and on a low mark for his handicap debut, be not be too surprised to see an improved run. 5.15 AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's my worse nightmare, Frank Street (trainer in good form and shown a bit of form at 2) Super Frank (Won 4 times at the start of last year and goes well fresh) The Name is Frank (Pretty consistent sort that has won at the course) All in the same race and not without an outside chance, going to have to do all three i'm afraid Take care all and good luck Frankie
  20. Right tonights selections to lay :-) Bath 6.30, Who love ya baby, Kojak was well fancied when playing up last time out and shipping Richard Hughes, lets hope he settles tonight and wins this moderate looking contest. 7.00 Graylyn Ruby interests me in this race, he has done little since joining this yard, but he has some ok form in the past and the stable are going ok. 7.30 Theres a couple I fancy in this race, Cheam Forever ran well for a long way in its last race but tried to make all, with different tactics he may be able to reserve some energy and win...plus I will have a little on Compton Blue, who won a couple of nice races last year in an inconsistent season, hopefully this year he can find some consistency in this grade. 8.00 Gra Adhmar was tipped by me last time but he found trouble in running, I hope he can avoid that here as his trainer has a good record around Bath and Sanders is a positive jockey booking. 8.30 Matteroffact Not much I fancy over jumps tonight, but I will have a few quid on Bernie'stheboss in the 7.50 at Perth as my brother is called Bernie (I know it's the way to the poor house) Frankie
  21. Blimey I seem to have had the curse of the Kip, after meeting him at the weekend I can't buy a winner, plus I had 3 non runners !!!!! Must get some winners tonight. Frankie
  22. Right back to going with my instincts etc. and not with the money.. Wednesday looks a decent days racing to be fair, especially at York. 1.40 Forte De Marmi looked extremely impressive when winning last time out, and I struggle to find anything to go against it, Stoutes horse Imposing may be useful, but his often need the run, and Saga De Tercey interests me, but his best runs have been over further. 2.10 Rainfall was extremely impressive on his debut, and although the form doesnt amount to much, he could only beat what was there, if he has improved again, which he is likely too he could be very useful, I rate Jarvis' business as Usual as the danger 3.10 A cracking race with many in with chances, but I will be keeping my eye on O'Briens Starspangledbanner, he makes his debut for both trainer and on British soil after showing top, top form in Australia, who can produce some very useful horses, if the 5ib penalty and the ground doesnt inconvenience him he should run well. 3.45 John Dunlop has not had too many runners so far this term, but when he does run something it is worth keeping an eye on, his Itlaaq looks to have good claims here if fit and ready, he is still lightly raced and could well be open to more improvement, he has run well at this trip previously and will hopefully see off Veloso in a tight finish. 4.55 Boss's Destination has been running over 7 furlongs in maidens but is bred to go much further, this trip should be much more to his liking and I expect him to run a decent race. Just a couple of selections over the jumps. Exeter 3.20 Bernard Fontwell 3.00 Kapelhoff...old timer loves it round Fonty. 4.10 Zero Good luck all Frankie
  23. Bloody hell , what a crap day, was going to do Subtefuge but steered clear...then I was doing Noodles Blue Boy and went with fav, but the major two i'm ****ed with and didnt do are Saint Thomas as vibes for fav were so positive and bloody Red Twist because I didnt get home on time...pahhh Nice tip on Iceman George Chrisobee...very nice.. Frankie
  24. on the bus to the dark side so just my fancies today. Yarmouth 3.50 fantastic cruix 4.50 best in class Warwick 2.40 macroy 5.10 eywa Beverley 3.00 king of swords 5.00 crystal gale Plus a few quid on prescotts two at southwell tonight. Good luck Frankie
