Crikey fellas good night for me King Troy won at 13/2 with Tanks for that who I also highlighted coming third at 16/1 and good old Sir Frank won at 5/1 so four tips and two nice winners.... Frankie

Hmm not a bad day, but very frustrating, especially at Haydock, Green Moon looked impressive winning and it was nice to see Look Busy return to winning ways, but 3 seconds at nice prices was a little unlucky at Haydock, Rainfall ran a nice race in second (8/1) Polly's Mark would surely have won in another stride at 7/2 and Doncaster Rover finished second to Main Aim at 10/1.... On to tonight at Cartmel have have to have a bet on 8.40 Sir Frank, this is his hurdling debut after being successful in a bumper 32 days ago, if he takes to the jumps he should run well, I like Brian Hughes as a jockey and the trainer knows the time of day, watch closely for any money backing it. At Stratford, I like the look of King Troy in the 7.20 he was going nicely at Cheltenham when falling and was in great form before that, keep an eye on Tanks for That, who has pulled up last two runs but if running to form could go well at a big price. 7.55 Ice Tea has been a monkey in the past, but if he remains on form he could take this hunter chase. 8.30 Mad Victor looks to have a decent chance but I like the chances of That Look, he hasnt run for some time but has some very good form in the past over jumps and on the flat and will do for me. good luck all, djing for a 30th Birthday tonight, Saints fan so should be a good crack. I know mate, it's called aftertiming, what I failed to mention was the dozen or so losers I had as well :-) Frankie

The usual really competitive Saturday racing today, hard to keep selections to a minimum but will try. Newmarket 2.15 Green Moon has looked very impressive winning his two runs this year, this is a step up in class, but with question marks about the Godolphin and Hannon horses, plus a skinny price on the favourite I fancy him to improve and take this event for his hattrick. 2.45 Munsarim ran in some very hot races as a two year old, with multiple winners coming out of them, he has a low mark for his handicap debut and can take this race before going on to better things. 3.20 I am sure Gene Autry will have her backers, but I really like the look of Cecils unexposed Walk on Water, she looked good on Good to firm / firm ground on her first two starts before seemingly hating the soft ground, this should be much more up her street and hopefully she can win here. Another at a big price to look at is Side Glance who has course and distance form. 3.55 Let's hope Cecil has a good day as I think his Rodrigo De Torres will overturn the favourite, he showed good form last time out when beating the useful Meezaan and he is meant to be going very well at home. Nothing really stands out at Beverley for me today, but I will be watching Look Busy in the 4.15, this is a drop in class and i'd like to see her win. Haydock. Looking out of the window I can only back one horse, Rainfall was very impressive winning his debut, it is impossible to say what that form amounts too, but that was over 7f, at a furlong less here, I hope he can blast out, use his stamina and blunt the finishing speed of his rivals. 3.00 Polly's Mark ran very well last time out, finishing fourth behind some smart colts, that run should have sharpened her up and conditions today will really suit her. 3.30 Doncaster Rover finished just behind Main Aim on there last start, yet Doncaster Rover is nearly 4 times the price, his trainer is in good form so a small bet on Doncaster Rover for me. 4.45 I fancy plenty in this race....Aaim to Prosper will be my main bet after a promising reappearance and I will chuck a couple of quid on Godolphins outsider Urban Poet. Over at Catterick my only bet will be Frognal in the 4.35, he has been well backed recently and will be again today I think, his trainer is in sparkling form and he is handicapped to win today. Good luck all And keep dry Frankie

Nice winner yesterday Chris, didnt post on here but had Prescotts horses yesterday, so a couple of winners there, also did Lucky Leigh which showed his best form for some time when finishing second, and Channons horses seem to be flying at the moment. I also had Just Sam in the 5.40 for another in form trainer in Ruth Carr. Have a few fancies for today and will post later. Frankie

Cracking racing tonight especially at Sandown.. At Newcastle I fancy Spring Breeze in the 8.10 and Miss Mittagong in the 9.15 who is in the in form R Becketts only runner here, and he has travelled 660 miles (round trip) for this last race. At Wetherby I will do a little double with 8.30 Farmer Frank and 9.05 Benmadigan. on to Sandown and Johnston does very well here, his horses are now flying so must be considered tonight. 6.05 Mannlichen has the blinkers applied for Mark Johnston, he is a consistent animal, and hopefully Dettori can bounce the horse out, dictate the tempo and run the finish out of the challengers. 6.35 Can't see Cape to Rio being beaten but a skinny price so a small each way on Ryans Nasharra for interest. 7.10 What a race, Opinion Poll was very impressive last time out, but this ground should be totally different, Darley Sun was immensively impressive for his old trainer last year and now at Godolphin he should show even more improvement, if that is the case he will be virtually unbeatable over the marathon trips. 8.20 No Hubris was a non runner when I tipped him last time (surprise surprise) his trainer thinks alot of him and he has course and distance form, he has the potential to surprise the short price favourite. 8.50 Dunn'o and Flora Trevalyn dutched. Good luck Frankie

had a horse alert for evans horse in the 5.30 when it runs in a handicap. Not sure what its called (Mosqueta)as on my mobile and thought i'd post, in case it wins. Frankie Pahhh rubbish

Looks a cracking days racing and will keep my powder pretty dry for Sandown tonight, just a couple of fancies during the day. Wolverhampton. 3.00 Mainstay could be anything, but has a bad draw and lack of experience round here may find him out, Diapason has a liking for Wolverhampton winning twice here last year, the yard is in good form and is a tentative selection, I also like the look of Wasmi, but Clive Brittains often come on for a run. 4.30 I tipped Cecils Titbit last time out but she dissapointed, she will surely have come on for the run and is worth chancing at a projected double figure price. 5.00 Nafura was a beaten favourite last time out, but in two runs at this track she has won both, she was running on over a mile last time so this extra furlong will surely suit. Ayr looks trappy, although if you can get 5/2 or more about Saxford in the claimer that could be worth a bet. Very small open fields at Brighton too, so no bets there... Have a great day Frankie
-
Nice to see Fallon do so well today especially as I had Five Star Junior, my only bet of the day.....also good to see Mark Johnston get a couple of winners at Ffos Las as his runners have been a little out of form of late. Beverley. 7.30 Malpas Missile, see above post for reasons. 8.00 I have to oppose Chris O here, I think Coolminx will take all the beating he has course and distance form, the in form partnership of Fahey and Hanigan plus he looks the sort to make an even better horse at 3. 8.30 Banks and Braes cannot remain a maiden forever surely, I will back her until she breaks that tag, and hopefully tonight will be the night, her last run behind Buffett doesnt look bad form. Southwell looks very tricky tonight, my only real fancy is Don't Call Me Derek....and as for Punchestown, its impossible, just huge fields. Good night all Frankie
-
Chris go for Malpas Missile in the 7.30 ran very well at Chester last time from a bad draw and expected to improve on that...congrats on the Casino freebie mate, how did you get the freebie? Frankie

Withdrawn after rearing in stalls. Frankie

Not the best of days with just one winner but a few things to note. Ripon 3.10 Yashrid (won 5/2)showed a very game attitude to win this by the smallest of margins after being headed and will surely improve for this run. 3.40 Ben Coolen (3rd 33/1) ran a nice race and will be worth following especially when dropped in grade and possibly upped in trip. Chepstow. 3.20 Fav beaten then given race, but if you look at the replay I feel my selection could have run the first two very closely with a better ride (your views would be welcome) 4.50 Had to laugh at this as both my selection and Chris' were withdrawn at the start of the race, the weight of our selections must have been too much. Lingfield. 4.00 Marosh (2nd 11/2) is definitely one for the notebook, he was at the back of the field with under a furlong to go and weaved his way smoothly through without catching the winner, surely only a matter of time before he wins.. Hexham looks a favs night tonight and I may do a multiple of some sort including Mccoys rides and Flying Doctor, as for Huntingdon, Gunship and Midnight gold look nice for a double and Celestial Dragon in the Hunter Chase could be worth a few quid. Take care all Frankie
-
Not much of a price but had a big word for Advertise in the 3.50 at Chepstow, had jockeys with their first rides last two starts and been given little assistance, with a proper jock on board, up in trip and balding in great form, he looks a great bet. Frankie

3 flat cards this afternoon and 2 jumps this evening...Will leave this evenings cards alone as there are some short prices and nothing really stands out at the moment. This afternoons selections are. Ripon 2.40 Castlebury in an in and out performer who after winning at this distance last year failed to sparkle, Swinbanks often get better with age, his best form is also on good/ good to form ground. 3.10 I expected Yashrid to be even 11/10 so to see him at 5/2 on Betfair is a massive surprise, this is his handicap debut and he has a workable mark, his trainer is flying and think he may rout this field. 3.40 Off Chance has been steadily backed all day and has a good chance for the in form Easterby, but I will be having a bet on Bencoolen, he has shown some in and out displays since joining Nicholls, but if he runs to the best of his ability he isnt without a chance at a big price. 5.10 Trade Secret has been running very well, he was in front of We'll Deal Again and Besty last time out and with the consistent Hanigan on board he could lead from start to finish. Chepstow. 2.50 Two things interest me about Channon's Leitzu, he has been running over longer distances than this 6 furlongs, plus he has Fallon on board, he has shown plenty of dash in the past, plus his form on grass (not all weather as compared to many rivals) gives him the edge. 3.20 Lastkingofscotland has a big chance in this seller but is a very short price, so I take him on with Blue Noodles, he had some good form on turf last year, winning over course and distance and his two runs this year will have got him spot on.... 4.20 I like the look of Dove Cottage in what at first glance looks a tricky contest at 4.20. This horse has run at Chepstow five times and won three of them. This obviously shows his like for the course. However the record looks even better when you consider that his two defeats were on unsuitable soft ground and that all of his fast gound runs at the welsh venue have resulted in victories. 4.50 Baltic Ben Lingfield 3.30 Kirsty's boy has good recent course form. 4.00 Marosh, bad draw but can lead or be held up so is versatile, he has run in some good races and George Baker is brilliant around Lingfield 5.30 Oceans Edge ran eyecatchingly before flopping on his handicap debut, the blinkers have been applied so let's hope they do the job. Good luck all Frankie
-
A few big prices...and ran like they should have been big prices too :-) Frankie
-
Can't believe Kanace was a non runner again, what's that all about, he has been non runner 5 from 6 times this season now I think. Frankie
-
A few I fancy tonight Thirsk 6.55 I'm Frank...I know choosing a horse because of the name is wrong, but for its first handicap run I think he really has a lively chance, he is a pretty big price, but any improvement could see him go close. Windsor 7.10 Earlsmedic will be having a few pound of my money, he has been pretty consistent over this 6f trip winning 3 times last year, his last run was poor, but the stable seemed out of sorts at the time so that run can be excused. 7.40 A cracking little sprint this one, I fancied Swiss Diva but it is now a non runner, Lucky General looks to have a very good chance for the all conquering Hannon yard, but I am going for a little value with El Cambio, he was formerly trained in Australia, where he was a very useful horse, winning 6 times, he ran poorly in Meydan, but the visor has been fitted which will hopefully help him to show some improvement. 8.10 Nurture should hack up in this, dropping massively in class after running in the 1000 Guineas, but that may give her a false price, so I am going for a couple of horses at big prices that may well win...Anacopa could be anything so I will have a few quid on that horse and hope it's decent, and as the William Knight yard are all conquering I will also back Tehnophobe to improve on his debut run. A few big prices so don't expect too much Frankie
-
Nice work again Stevo, and I see miracles do happen, both Chris and I agreed on a horse and it won....nice. Frankie
-
Lovely weekend guys, don't know how the horses will cope with the heat..here are a few that I hope do...just selections i'm afraid as short of time. Leicester 2.00 Bilberry 3.30 Mr Irons Carlisle 2.45 Royal Dignitary 3.15 Tripbiyah 4.15 Kanace Good luck all. Frankie p.s. Nice tipping over the weekend Saint Stevo and ChrisO

What a fantastic days racing, to be honest it's hard not to go overboard with selections as there are so many to choose from, but here are mine for what they are worth.... Curragh Irish 2000 Guineas All the right sounds have been coming from the Hannon stable for Canford Cliffs but I feel there are too many question marks against him so I am going for is Noll Wallop, he was very impressive last time out and his trainer is in great form, the ground may be a problem as he has not run on anything this firm before but at his current price he offers good value. I will also be chucking a couple of quid on Purple Heart as I saw him make his debut at Naas last year, he is a big horse that has some talent and at 1000 on Betfair I would kick myself if the improbable happened. Haydock. Really competitive at Haydock so will keep stakes pretty small 2.30 I fancied No Hubris in this but he is now a non runner, Balducci looks to have a favs chance...no bet race for me. 3.00 Some brilliant old sprinters in this race, Benbaun ran his usual solid race in France last week only just being denied by Marchant D'or who is no slouch, hopefully he will blast out of the stalls and nothing will catch him. I will be watching Look Busy closely too as this filly is one of my favourite racehorses 4.05 Despite being 4 Crimea has only raced four times, winning twice, he has left Mark Johnstons stable to join Dandy Nicholls who often does very well with other trainers outcasts, lets hope he can weave some magic with this one. Goodwood. 2.15 John Bests yard is flying at the moment and I like the look of his Freeforaday in this race, he shaped as if he needed the run on his reappearance and is very interesting now he should strip fitter, he improved with each run last year and hopefully that improvement will continue. 3.20 I tipped Storm Ultralight last time out and he won very impressively, he is still unexposed and could be a very good horse. York. I have had a good word for Mull of dubai in the 2.05 3.10 With question marks about the stamina and temperament of some of these, the 20/1 on offer with Betfair for last years winner Carraciola is too good to turn down, he is a veteran and may be exposed by some of his younger rivals but he goes on any ground, loves the course and will run his usual game consistent race...go old boy. 3.40 I have had a word for Sohraab in this race, but I cannot desert out forum hero Ziggy Lee, he was extremely impressive last time out and is still subject to some possible improvement as he is lightly raced. Nothing jumps of the page for me at Chester, although I have had a tip for Flipando in the 3.25 and a big tip for Norwegian Dancer in the 5.10 so will have a few pound on them. Off to see Hairspray at the Mayflower with the missus tonight, have a good weekend all and enjoy the sunshine. Frankie

Just a few little bets for tonight: Salisbury 6.30 Rio royale 7.05 Bold Tie 7.40 Red Barcelona Sandown 6.20 Ebony Boom 6.50 Prince of Sorrento 7.25 Towbaat 8.35 Lost Horizon Good luck all Frankie

Some interesting runners tomorrow , had a little look and will post my selections now. Haydock 2.50 Bernix has shot up the weights after his first win, I bet on him last time more in hope than judgement and he battled gamely to win at 20/1, I cannot desert him now as he goes for his hat-trick in a race of little quality. 3.25 I hope that Tinkler and Eaves can have a quick double here as I fancy Webbow, he found all sorts of trouble in running last time out and would surely have finished closer to the winner, he ran well last year in some big races and despite not winning last year could play a major part in this race. Southwell 3.15 Despite being a skinny price I think Speed Dating will scoot up here, he likes this track and ran a very encouraging seasonal debut when second over course and distance, Prescott runners often need the run to get them right and if that has bought him on, he will take all of the beating. 3.55 Love Delta has run at Southwell three times and won on each occasion, he loves it here and his trainer has a pretty good record here too, so its a big positive on Love Delta for me. That'll do for me. Good luck all Frankie

Hi all, didnt have time to post this morning but did Pipette (100/30 2nd) and Avrilo (4/1 1st) at Goodwood, Benmadigan (5/1 1st) and Benbeoch (nowhere) at Kelso and Wunder Strike at Lingfield...very poor...will probably leave tonights cards alone, although havent had a proper look yet. Frankie
-
I have a mate that does that, normally chucks in a 1/3 to make the money up and it lets him down no end of times....funny old game gambling Frankie
-
My only problem is not enough money to gamble with mate :-) gambling is a hobby mate, just like to win a bit from time to time if I can. I am a small time punter mate, 2-3 pound wins mainly occasionally i'll bet 5-10 and on very special occasions 20 Football bets are my biggest earner, bet with my brother on a saturday, we pick two selecyions each and do a £20.00 acca, we were over £2000 up last season, paid for a fair few away games and the Johnstons Cup Final. Take care Frankie
