Hi guys, having a clearout and found quite a few of the official saints magazines from late 90s. Anyone know if they are worth anything. First one has been signed by two players Heaney and Shipperley) (I think. Plus I have a matt le tiss signed Benali testimonial programme. All in good condition. Any info on value of these appreciated...can't find anything online or on Ebay. Frankie

Mate I can help, work as a teacher and on summer holidays so I have a little time at the moment Frankie
-
Ok mate it depends on if it was a 1/5th of the odds place or 1/4 if its a 1/5th you should get back about £188 thats two wins and two places, if its a 1/4 the odds its about £264 either way a nice return, shame about Crawley as they were a silly price at the start of the season.. Hope that helps. Frankie

Dont know if we can sticky this mods, think its a great cause and shows support of Billy too. Dead Legacy is proud to support the Luey Jacob Sharp foundation. Late last year Southampton striker Billy Sharp’s two day old son Luey tragically passed away from a condition known as Gastroschisis. The foundation has been setup to raise awareness of the condition and support other families affected. All profits on this t-shirt go to the Luey Jacob Sharp foundation so please help us raise as much money as possible by sharing with friends on twitter and Facebook etc. For more info on the foundation please visit their twitter page http://twitter.com/#!/ljsfoundation or website http://www.ljsfoundation.org.uk Frankie

Strangest thing you've heard shouted out at Southampton?
frankie replied to ToreSF's topic in The Saints
"Go on go on stab him in the eye!" From an ex convict in the Itchen :-)...says it every game, several times. Frankie -
Todays selections to avoid. 2.05 Red Duke 2.35 Swiss Dream 3.10 Sea Moon (Big bet for me anyway) 3.45 Cry Fury 4.15 The Cheka 4.50 Burano 5.25 Waldvogel. Take care all..Come on you Saints Frankie

Just awful...what a clown of a tipster :-) Frankie

Elsewhere I like Chilly Filly in the 3.45 at Chester. Frankie

Well after a good start my selections went downhill after that..Chris did his usual good job, getting a winner or two and a fair few places....on to Friday and what looks in theory an easier day to pick winners, with fewer runners on show...but they still have to be found. 1.25 Lilbourne Lad has been running consistently well in some good races, the form of his run behind Caspar Netscher has taken a boost today so I tentatively side with the Hannon runner. Selection:Lilbourne Lad 1.55 Precision Break won this last year and now in the Simcock stable is respected, but I like the look of Eternal Heart of Mark Johnstons, he was well backed last time out but had no chance with the improving Motrice, this track should suit him better and he may take some beating. Selection: Eternal Heart 2.25 Motrice is a nice looking filly and she is improving with every run, there are question marks about some of the other runners, and their inability to stay this distance (Opinion Poll tried last year and failed) Motrice should relish this extra distance and the booking of Hanagan looks significant. Selection: Motrice 3.00 Some exciting fillies in this race, but the Frankie kiss of death goes to Regal Realm, she has looked very green when running this year and despite finding alot of trouble last time out, still managed to win, I think she has a touch of class, and may need to have to win this. Selection: Regal Realm 3.35 Etihaam looks to hold all the aces in this race, but is poor value...so a lively outsider may be Godolphins Mizwaaj, who ran well on debut and will surely come on for that run. Selectiom: Mizwaaj 4.10 my two against the field are Grissom who is in super form and Kuanyao who looked to be returning to form last time out and does have ability. Selections: Grissom and Kuanyao 4.40 Red Anthem...just has to be...come on you reds :-) Good luck all Frankie

As I am now working my selections are going to be the night before... So Thursdays...hopefully better than Wednesdays selections are: 1.25 A tricky start with some unexposed types...my pin has fallen on Elusive Flame for the in form David Elsworth (Last 14 Days (UK) 15 runners 4 winners 1 second 3 thirds) Jamie Spencer should be a positive 1.55 Alanza looks to have a good chance but is little value, Seta is unbeaten over 7 furlongs (todays trip) and Cumani seems in decent form at the moment. 2.25 Cockney Dancer beat a useful horse on his debut and if improving on that run may have a chance in a very tricky race. 3.00 Set to Music has improved all season and will take some beating, but John Oxxs Sense of Purpose looks a lively threat, the extra distance and the trainers good form in this race are positives. 3.35 Probably just a watching brief unless the market pinpoints anything, could be some useful horses come from this....my stab in the murky waters goes for Deia Sunrise n.b. Deia is a small town on the Northern coast of Majorca 4.10 Pravda Street is interesting, trainer Brian Ellison thinks alot of this horse and he has some form at 7 furlongs..in a tricky race he is my tentative selection. 4.40 On to the last race and Prince of Johanne to continue his decent form and bail me out :-) Not much elsewhere I fancy today...may have a look at Laytown tonight though :-) Frankie
