Tomorrow afternoon Farton Park should be rocking to the sounds of 'You don't know what you're doing' aimed in the general direction of the PST and PKF.....or will it be 'Pack the Park' to celebrate this latest 'victory' in the High Courts?
-
Now that really is Comical Ali territory. Really pleased??? Yes, the farce of the past two days has managed to add further uncertainty to an already dubious PST position. The pledges ain't being converted, and anyone who sends in their £900 now needs sectioning. Oh yeah, sorry Guy...guess that transfer budget will be delayed...err....and any of your players that can actually kick a ball in a straight line will be leaving in January. But hey....really pleased with that result. Exactly what we wanted. Couldn't have gone better. Honest. Reaalllllly??
-
Bus?? This'll do - they can borrow it off the players.
-
Well I guess todays hilarity should ensure that the trickle of £1000 donations arriving at the PST should come to a complete standstill. Maybe the spawn of Portsea will receive a visit from Santa after all.

May have been a minority but came across very clearly on TV. Booing one of our own before he sets foot on the field is inexcusable.

They'll be recommissioned for an innovative new 'Sh!t in your seat' scheme. This press release could be winging it's way to Neil Allen as we speak...... The bestest, most passionate fans in the land will now be able to take a dump without missing a second of the action. (This also overcomes the fact that PST cannot afford to fix the toilets, and the fat is getting close to overwhelming the pipes). As an added bonus, fans are invited to throw their bags on the pitch after a crap performance (no, at the end of 90 mins) which will also save on fertiliser costs. Yet another example of how this great community club is putting fans and the environment first.

Deserved nothing - got nothing. Key difference was Liverpool's ability to move the ball quickly. We seemed lethargic and ponderous. Thought QPR might get a win today...so good to see Saggychops magic must be waning.

This has got to be right up there for the worst........

Pleasure to watch that - only Gazza gave cause for concern (several times). Punch - take a bow. Outstanding work rate, probably could have had a hat-trick. Ramirez - quality, but sometimes the simple ball is the best option. Lallana - best game for a while, noticeably tracked back a lot more. Cork has made a big difference in the middle, winning many challenges and generally orchestrating the push forward. Well done Adkins and the lads - it may have only been QPR, but 3 pts on the road is valuable anywhere in this league. "We are Southampton, we're winning away!"

........they could build a statue of Mick Quinn.

This is a heart-breaking story that will no doubt anger a lot of people - but given the capacity of journalists to sensationalise a tragedy, I can only hope they have overlooked some mitigating facts that would have justified the doctors refusal to terminate on the grounds of her health. They may have got it wrong - but I hope there is more to this than just -'Its a Catholic Country' so can't terminate even though they know the baby won't survive anyway. Very sad.

IMO...the key premise of the PTS is the continued blind belief that they are entitled to be competitive and continue to spend recklessly AFTER their rich benefactor pulled the plug. That is way different to Bolton, Chelsea, Man City etc.
-
Have they stolen from local charities? Failed to pay their tax? Had a winding-up order? Generally taken the ****? No? Nothing to discuss then - or we'd have about 20 threads going for various clubs.

Bloody Hell....Appleton must be some manager....less than 24 hrs after he leaves and everything is falling apart down poopey way. I always thought he was a little bit dim, but maybe he deserves more credit......or...

Agree with most of that - except Fonte was not alright. Looked out of his depth and scared much of the time. As you say, Gaston wasn't fit and should have been brought off after 60 mins. Adkins had my unwavering support before tonight but I do not understand why he took so long to change personnel tonight.

Clean sheet for Bartosz. Hope he celebrated accordingly.

USA - NBC to get Prem games next season
BigShadow replied to Rut's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
Hmmm - the end for Fox Soccer? NBC getting involved in sport always fills me with dread. Presumably, NBC won't be interested in the FL so would be good to see Fox Soccer expand their coverage, otherwise I can't see NBC picking up the Championship and L1 games that Fox Soccer have in the last few years. Will be interesting to see the model NBC propose for online/PPV etc. Might have to keep cable after all. -
USA - 6 months FoxSoccer2Go for Free (ish)
BigShadow replied to BigShadow's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
I think games are available for streaming for 7 days, usually from quite soon after the game or from midnight for games shown live on FSC. -
Some amusing posts in the comments section of the Lancashire Telegraph article on Appleton.....

I make this suggestion with reservation - XOOM (the money transfer service) has a promotion where you can get 6 months FoxSoccer2go for free when you make a money transfer using their service. The promotion was publicised on FoxSoccer a few months ago, but is hard to find now. You can find it here https://www.xoom.com/get-6-months-of-fox-soccer-2go-for-free. Make sure you follow the t&c's carefully. Offer is open til the end of November. I transferred $150 to the UK - the exchange rate wasn't the best and there was a $4.95 fee, but I reckon it cost me about $8 overall - which for 6 months of FoxSoccer seems pretty good to me. The money transfer went through smoothly and was in my UK account within 24 hrs. I doubt I will use the service again though as I can do it cheaper through my bank. Now - word of warning - getting my free six months code was not easy - took three phone calls to mostly clueless phone operators and then an email follow-up. I would suggest the email route if you have a problem as that was responded to within 12 hrs and with the info I needed. FoxSoccer2go may not be perfect, but I have had very few problems during games and I'm enjoying watching Saints games live every week (despite the results).

Remember the yellow lines on the terracing to show where you should avoid standing if you wanted to see the whole pitch - just in case you couldn't work that out for yourself.
-
Finally an announcement - and one that I suspect the majority of supporters at both ends of the M27 will be happy with. There is plenty of fun to be had as we might be looking forward to:- - A battle with Chinny over the valuation of the 'arena' - The playing squad being decimated on the off-chance some financial reality kicks in. - More un-Appy classics as he whinges about the above - The struggle to collect all those £900 cheques - Minus 10 points - Infighting amongst PST and supporters - Closure of at least one stand at FP as no money to maintain to HS standards. - Disputes over the role of the property developer partners - Relegation to L2 - Admin Again About time - this thread was starting to get boring. No excuse not to 'Pack The Park' now.

Holland for me too - though with Spanish leaning tendencies by the looks of it.
