Maybe as a concerned member of the few - you should ask them if they have received any assurances that the ongoing investigation of the directors/court cases etc will not lead to any future points penalties. Be interesting to see how much they know/are prepared to share.

Its the last game at the Withdean, Brighton still have a chance of getting 100pts - I think they will be up for it.

Actually - he will be our new owner. Nigeria needed a legitimate outlet for all the surplus millions they've got rolling around the country. They tried e-mailing lots of people to give it away, but no bugger would send them their bank details - so plan B, buy SFC and get the money out that way.

Maybe its a new attempt to boost attendances - PFC in conjunction with Southampton Crown Court offer alternative punishment option - either 5 years vacation in Winchester at HMP, or a 'Lifetime ticket' to Krap Nottarf (attendance at every game is mandatory). Presumably the take up on the lifetime ticket offer would be pretty low.

Don't worry - its an elaborate betting scam. The odds were so short on the RedSox winning the AL that John Henry got them to start 0-6 so he can put a few quid on. He's a bit short of cash after buying Liverpool. Nothing like a Yankees series to get the season rocking though - and I'm off to Fenway on sunday to see the Sox go 3-6 for the season.

About 15 years ago, 3-0 down against Liverpool at The Dell with 15 mins left to play - got it back to 3-3 in injury time - pretty sure was a midweek game. Edit: Just checked - was 26th August 2000 - nobody left the ground early that night!!

Many sports are boring if you have no personal interest in either the sport or the teams playing. (BTW, Baseball may be an american invented sport, but it is heavily derived from the English game of Rounders). Baseball got me hooked pretty quickly once I started to understand what was going on and some of the nuances of the game - and for a three hour game, the breaks aren't that bad - about two minutes at the end of each half inning when the teams changeover - and another two minutes at a pitching change. I will admit - it can seem a slow game if there are not many hits, but then football can be boring sometimes too. Maybe you just caught a bad game.

If Bournemouth want to 'control the controllables' then they need to win this one - if they lose they open the door for either Orient or Rochdale to take their play-off spot with the games in hand. Come on Bompey - win this one and we'll beat Orient and Rochdale for ya! Maybe.

It seems the few have found a new straw to grasp in their efforts to prove they are the best supported club in the South. So using Skate logic - if Eastleigh got 2,500 fans at Stoneham (83% capacity) - that would make them the best supported club in the South.

Nice of PFC to provide some new fodder for my entertainment - its been a few days. I'm quite impressed that the few have managed to work out that:- 1) 2.5% increase in VAT plus 3% Football League levy does not equate to a 20-odd % increase in ticket prices, and 2) That they have no protection if they pay in cash so no-one wants to risk the early-bird renewal when they can't use a credit card. Don't they realise PFC need some serious cash for new players....seems they all think BC is going trouser the ST cash. Such faith in the owner. Methinks there could be plenty of humour coming from the wrong end of the M27 to keep us amused over the close season.

Which further begs the question - why would anyone want to buy them? Aside from being a loss-making proposition and having no squad at the end of the year - there is the prospect of further points deductions for past misdemeanors.

Unfortunately for the few - break-even in an accounting sense does not necessarily indicate a healthy cash-flow. It is cash that they need...and lots of it. They are going to have to purchase a new squad in the summer.
