To be fair, Charleston Battery average just over 3,000 for their home games, so on that basis it seems feasible that Pompeys 12,000ish regular home fans could be seen as huge, loyal support. Bigger than bolton - hmmm, not sure - but Boltons fanbase is pretty small as well, although more of them tend to turn up on matchday. Either way - not worth getting into a fight with a skate on some message board that even the locals can't be bothered to read.

So Clotterill approached Birmingham then?

This is excellent work by Brum. Best case - The Clot goes to Brum, PFC have to find a new manager which will delay their player acquisitions as any potential signings will want to see who the new boss is. Worst case - its just a rumour, but delays a few things anyway and cast a bit of doubt in some players minds. So unless Clot comes out in the next 24 hours and declares his undying love for fishy folk whilst categorically denying he will leave, then this whole Brum situation can only cause a few problems for them.

So thats £1.4m for TBH, £1m to spuds for Begovic, £700k still owed to Sol -that lot should more than account for the transfer kitty. What a bargain those ruskies have bought.

Ah...the place people say they are going when they don't want to say Torremolinos. Have many fond memories of my late teens in Benalmadena. Went there for me summer hols three years running and how I avoided ending up in a Spanish Jail is beyond me. This year its Alaska, Seattle and San Francisco for me.

:lol: You should seek election to local govt on the back of that policy.

Another £10 coming your way. This should be a gesture from Saints fans......lets not just rely on NC. Surely most Saints supporters can afford a £1 or 50p even. -
There's something missing from this thread - Congratulations to the fishy few and well done for pulling off one of the greatest escapes ever............or have they. The takeover is done, but I suspect it won't be long before the skate comrades get restless due to a lack of high profile signings. Plenty more laughs to come over the summer hopefully.....and even more during next season.

WTF.....A swan and a skate having a love-in on a Saints forum........tell me it ain't so.

So you scored and got sent off in the first 30 seconds??? Contact Guinness Book of Records.

I was quite impressed to find Yorkshire Tea in my local supermarket over here in the USA. One less thing to miss from home.

Unless anyone has seen the sale and purchase agreement I guess we will have no idea what the final version said - and what, if any, ability they have to wriggle out of the payments. However, it was to be a condition of the sale that Newco are OBLIGATED to pay the CVA by 2015. As per the last publicly available timetable - the first payment will be due in April 2012. In the very simplest of terms - to fund the CVA they need to run at about £5m PROFIT each year for the next four years. Odds on that happening??

Interesting that a) the liquidators have identified significant issues (no surprise) and, b) the issues are of such complexity that Baker Tilly need to call in additional forensic experts. How ya feeling Mr Storrie????

Fergie jr is reason enough to dislike Peterboro, and The Dons play in Aberdeen or Wimbledon so who the f*ck this lot from Milton Keynes are is anyones guess FFS - if it was us that went unbeaten for the second half of the season I would be well ****ed off if we didn't go up. Huddersfield deserve it......plus as an added bonus....they are the least dislikeable.

The Saints Football League iphone/ipad app works well for just viewing the goals - you need to pay £4.99/year for the premium version. Goals normally uploaded within 24 hrs after a game.

Call me a cynic...but IMO, it says he is staying IF significant wedge is put on the table......comments about staying 'if everything is in order' and 'happy so far' lead me to believe there are expectations still to be resolved.

You're mistaken - that is the prototype for Al Fahim's new private box. Rumour has it that Chinny might need to join him in there for home games soon.

It means sadness that I can't make the opening game of next season. It means a few days of floating around on a high that no-one can quite understand. (Most Americans have no concept of relegation and promotion) It means subscribing to Fox Soccer Plus again. It means a sense of pride at the incredible level of support shown for this club in the third tier of English football. It means we're one step closer to the 'Premyearrrrr League' which is the only thing most American 'Sahhhhccccerrr' fans recognise. It means Markus' dream is alive and Nicola will continue to execute the plan. :):):):):)

Huddersfield appreciation/respect thread
BigShadow replied to southbourne saint's topic in The Saints
Peterborough have the ***t manager - Franchise shouldn't exist - Bournemouth have just been really annoying this year - so hope Huddersfield can see their unbeaten run through the next four games. -
Is the goal difference enough yet?

So it seems the Skates are off to DisneyWorld for their pre-season tour.....strangely appropriate methinks..... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/blues_boss_tying_up_pre_season_destinations_1_2635570

Somehow your post seems inappropriate on this thread.

According to some estimates...... 5 million pounds ($7.5M): Estimated cost of royal wedding security to taxpayers. 1.4 billion pounds ($2.2B): Estimated tourist revenue the royal wedding will generate. I'm sure the taxes generated on that £1.4bn will outweigh the security costs. Perhaps the Royal Wedding might just help provide funds to save a few public sector jobs etc and it is the people who do not support it who should be ashamed of themselves.

Hmmm.......now I'm sure that Zebra Finance has permission to process credit cards in the course of normal business...but I wonder if they have permission to act as a third party payment processor. The last time I signed a merchant agreement (a few years ago admittedly) I'm pretty sure there was some wording pertaining to 'payments for goods and services provided in the normal course of business of XYZ Ltd' or something along those lines.
