Bloody Hell - that surely must qualify for some sort of "Life improvement from dire and extreme circumstances" award. Good Work!!

Undisclosed fee??? Werder Bremen let him go at the end of June - wouldn't that make him free - or is compo due because he is only 21? Anyway - other than being a big lump to chuck balls at - don't know that the NPC defences are going to be quaking over this one.

FFS, Two fu[king pages of 'We've got better fans than you....' This thread has legendary status. Stop the p!ssing contest. We all know, even Corp, that we get better support than them, even when two divisions below them. We all know they cheated their way to two FA Cup finals. We all know their stadium (Ha,Ha) is falling down. We all know that they remain on the precipice of extinction. Corp knows all of this, but has the right to use whatever bu11sh!t at his disposal to defend his club. DON'T FEED THE TROLL. If you really want to annoy the likes of Corp - just completely ignore his posts. Now back on track..... The takeover has happened, but cannot be considered final until the obligations of the CVA have been met. That gives this thread another 4 years to run. In the meantime, there will be quiet, uneventful periods but that shouldn't be seen as an opportunity to start/continue the p!ssing contest. We are never far away from another horrendous result, cotterill whinge or lampitt fabrication (or hopefully a court decision or two) to keep us entertained. Keep this thread sacred as the ultimate record of PFC's downfall.

For 11 and 14 yr olds I would think the Whirlpool Jet Boats at Niagara would be fun if you don't mind getting a bit wet. The Rogers Centre for a baseball game is usually lacking in atmosphere, but can be a pleasant way to spend an evening. Rarely sells out so getting tickets on the day should not be a problem. The Ice Hockey Hall of Fame is good if you have the slightest interest in the game.

This except last line should be 'In Southampton's Red and White'

A tragic waste of a talented life for sure but lets not kid ourselves about the pressures she faced. Facing expectation and media attention whilst having a stoked bank account is a pressure many of us may not understand, but would be willing to try. Having to find a job to feed the family and keep a roof over their heads - that's pressure - and millions of people deal with it everyday. RIP Amy - my thoughts are with your friends and family - but you made your own choices.

Pace, trickery and goals - not afraid to take players on - looks an exciting prospect from that youtube clip.

I'd say the clue was in the name.

As of 2.30pm 94% of voters either love it or think its OK - that must be an unprecedented level of acceptance so I'd say the club have done a pretty good job with this one.

Happy with that. Not sure about the umbro badge in yellow, but otherwise it looks pretty good to me.

Almost as funny as Joey Barton being refused a Visa to play in Newcastle's tour of the US. How those Pompey fans get past the US Immingration is anyones guess. Sent from my Commodore 64 using 'The Force'

If its a fairly standard suite - i.e. size and colours - the retailer might take it back minus a 10-20% restocking fee, particularly if you agree to buy a replacement. Get hold of the manager, and be nice rather than demanding. If it was a pink and white tartan special order - forget it.

Yes....but the age of financial responsibility has dawned......or in other words being a cheapSKATE...http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Fratton-Gets-Arty-2301.aspx Can't afford to get the stadium redecorated? ...make it a community project and get it done for free by 8 - 12 year olds. I particularly liked this bit... How nice of PFC to provide these kids with an authentic matchday experience in return for their paintings. Still mustn't grumble...nice to see the DFCSBs not splashing the cash for a change.

For all those who think finance and business news is boring - not when presented by..... ...sigh......chance would be a fine, fine thing

Have you ever met anyone who said ' I'd love a pint of Carling right now'? Its a miracle they are still in business. I'll admit to 1664 being one of favorites back in the day - before my liver decided it couldn't process all the sh!t that was in it.
-
Excellent - and by the end of next week you might have enough players at training for a 5-a-side game.
-
I give it a week before they release one of those 'sneak peek' teasers showing a small photo of a piece of the kit - they'll have to do something otherwise can't see that many fans jumping in blind to pre-order.

Love the design of a woman's legs spread open over the left shoulder. What were they thinking?

Just posting that picture should be a banning offence - its lunch time over here on the east coast FFS.

I think someone on here stated a few weeks ago that CSI had 'invested' the grand sum of £1 to buy PFC. I see a masterstroke by Chinny here...... PROBLEM - Football League grants golden share on condition that the owners do not withdraw any funds from the club until the CVA obligations have been met in full. BC knows damn well that the cesspit is never going to make enough funds to service the CVA and pay him off anytime soon. SOLUTION - Find some dodgy ruskies to take ownership. Now when the next tranche of PL parachute money is received some of that can be diverted to BC to settle outstanding debts as he is no longer the owner. BC gets his money back quicker and the ruskies own a football club they haven't had to invest in. If Plan A works, CSI get the club and land - who knows what happens next. If Plan A goes tits up, CSI exit stage left and BC resumes ownership in the same fashion he did the first time. Plausible? Possible? Any news on that transfer budget yet, Mr Cotterill?

Ayman al-Zawahiri appointed as al-Qaeda leader

They outsourced the criminal background check to the same company the PL & FL use for their FAPPT. He passed with flying colours - and as an added bonus is now free to own an English Football Club .
