  1. I emailed the ticket office as I hadn't received a voucher and they promptly sent me one. They also posted a link to a page on the store that had discounts for season ticket holders as an extra bonus, but the £35 voucher isn't exclusive to everything on that page. I bought a pair of tracksuit bottoms which were on the new arrivals bit. HOWEVER, I did get an official club email a few hours later saying I used my voucher too late and here's a different one - which then didn't work 😂 But my original transaction which did seem to work, despite the 2nd email saying it didn't, is showing on my pending transactions (£1.50 postage) and is in my order history, so who knows.
  2. Diallo looks quite dynamic and if his passing isn't worse than Hojbjerg's, than this should be an upgrade to our style of play, particularly at home. Having someone who can win the ball and drive forward if only 15 yards, should make a difference to our otherwise turgid safe passing that gives the opposition defence a chance to get set and has hindered our home form for the last 3+ years.
  3. Google 'Salisbury scissor attack'
  4. I read an article a while ago saying he was sentenced to 10 years for attacking someone with a pair of scissors.
  5. Looked very dynamic and showed good composure at times vs Brentford last night (who themselves look like they had a few interesting players, Dasilva looked good, but first time I'd seen him play).
  6. Don't think we'd be the club in for Jansson, but it might open the door for the Jack Stephens to Leeds rumour.
  7. Saw both of his goals on SSN, the first was excellent - bursted forward played a 1-2 and dinked over the goalkeeper. Second goal he drifted into the box unmarked similar to Valery goal against Spurs. Maybe Bertrand is being linked away because we intend to have Maehle covering both full back positions? I didn't know he played left back too.
  8. El Ghazi, Hause and Mings were all on loan at Villa last season so it shouldn't really be a problem gelling. Also Jota seems like an underwhelming bench signing, so i'm not too envious of their business so far. Saying that, the money they spent on Moraes suggests they will give it a good go, so if they add Phillips from Leeds, Butland from Stoke (been linked) and maybe get Cahill on a free they should be looking fairly competitive.
  9. Regarding Chris Mepham - Watched the 1st half of Brentford vs Middlebrough on sky in November (0-0 at h-t but lost 2-1) and they mentioned that he was highly rated, so I kept a keen eye on him (albeit while my 1 yr old son was running around frantically) Can't really comment too much defensively, as Boro were still managed by Pulis, so were naturally unadventurous in attack, but he seemed to be handling the long ball ok. Going forward though he looked VERY comfortable, was surging forward with the ball well into the Boro half on a handful of occasions (was like watching a VVD playing for Celtic YouTube compilation). If he was to sign, here's hoping he can defend!
  10. Switch to a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Have Ings as main striker and 2 of Gabbiadini, Elyounoussi or Redmond as wide men. Extra body in midfield allowing Romeu/Ward-Prowse/Armstrong/Davis a chance to stake their claim and give genuine competition for places (which the 4-4-2 doesn't provide at all, not least when Hughes keeps playing the same players most weeks despite us looking utter gash, some of our players must be wondering how they'll ever get a game at the moment).
  11. Probably not top 5 but Bale 90th min equaliser away to Sunderland was excellent scenes, not least for BadBoySaint getting ejected for taking his top off.
  12. 1. Rasiak vs Derby (A) 2. Fonte vs Brighton (A) 3. Gabbiadini 2nd @ Wembley 4. Lambert vs Portsmouth (A) 5. Mane vs Liverpool (H) Honourable mentions to John vs Sheff U (H) and Lallana vs WBA (A)
  13. Elyounoussi would be an ideal replacement, but being linked with Leicester.
  14. Huddersfield signed Kongolo permanently after being on loan there - £17.5m + bonuses!
  15. Sorry - likely, in my opinion. Who knows. With Tadic and Bertrand both having spent four seasons at the club and still at a point in their career where they can attract attention of fairly large clubs - I wouldn't be surprised to see a parting of ways should a bid of around £25m come in for either player from a club they'd be interested in going to. I think that those are the two most likely to go in terms of clubs wanting our players and putting reasonable bids in (Boufal, Carillo and Forster we will probably try and push out the door ourselves). I would expect decent bids for Cedric, Lemina etc would still be rejected if we sold Tadic and Bertrand, with Gabbiadini an expection if he's as homesick as some on here have suggested.
  16. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6237514/arsenal-transfer-news-huddersfield-basel-mohamed-elyounoussi/ Elyounoussi would be a good signing, was excellent against Man City in the champions league which probably attracted attention of some higher clubs though. With Boufal and possibly Tadic likely to leave, 2 out of Elyounoussi, Sisto and Promes would be decent. It'll be interesting to see which dominant Centre back we go for, we're going to sign one surely...I still like the idea of Pontus Jansson, I think he could make the step up - Scandinavians have served us well in the past.
  17. https://www.ecosports.cn/Home/Consultation/show/id/8526.html Article here says we intend to do our kit launch in China and also that we are targeting more experienced players in the next transfer window.
  18. Wonder if we could tempt Pontus Jansson from Leeds - we need a dominant centre back in the championship and He fits the bill. Sam Vokes could be a good option and cheaper wages than Austin, often benched by Burnley (Not suggesting because he's a local lad etc etc)
  19. Pellegrino said he brought VVD on because he knew Palace would play long ball for the last few minutes, I don't think it's much of an indicator that we are going to switch formations. That's not to say we won't do it though - after all we do have lots of capable players in that position now. For me we will only switch to that as a regular formation if the manager believes we can get more out of our attacking players - the players you've suggested make us look even less likely to score goals.
  20. We have better suited players for the Diamond formation this season. Lemina seems wasted as a holding player/Davis and JWP aren't good enough for a holding player and a waste of time playing them as part of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1. Long and Gabbiadini can both split much better than what Redmond and Austin could when we tried it last season. JWP and PEH can both easily slot in for Davis with little fuss. As can Boufal for Tadic. It also allows us to switch to a 4-3-3 in the second half if necessary by bringing on Redmond for Long and having him and Tadic wide.
  21. Wimmer is going to West Brom..
  22. Didn't long want to leave Hull because he couldn't settle so far up north? I guess World cup year could swing things though, he'd definitely get more playing time at Burnley.
  23. Guardiola said this week they are in the market for another CB.
  24. Good away day, Hammond's goal was ace and was swerving right towards me. Was sat in the pub beforehand watching Soccer Saturday - Arsenal and Newcastle drew 4-4 that afternoon and we were all saying how you never see scoreline's like that...
