What exactly does an MP do? How does he help society with his role. Sometimes you see the House of Commons on TV and no one is there, if that was an A+E department with half the staff missing because they don't feel the need to attend then there would be deaths etc. I don't remember anything that an MP has done that has made a difference. None of them seem to represent the people that put them there, and if the pay is so bad why do it.

Try telling a nurse, a teacher, police officer fireman etc. that this should be accepted! They have had pay freezes, re bandings down and put on lower salaries, have had their pension contributions increased (they aren't given these pensions for nothing), expected to work longer to get said pension. This is not the time for MPs to be treated better. These other public servants too would welcome an extra £7k a year.

How unprofessional does that picture look like, and whose shed was that shot in? Perhaps they should have a 'h' in jobsite !

Just seen a copy of the Sunday People from Nov 24th Page 6 of their total football, are these papers telling the truth any of the time, or does it depend on where you buy your paper, and a different slant is given per region. Foul or no foul, for me no foul he was an idiot for doing what he did, he should have got rid for a throw in at worst. He does this too often in games for my liking, and this will cost us more goals in the future unless stamped out.

Unfortunately the mistake by Boruc has been an accident waiting to happen for weeks, how many times have you seen him do this in the past. It looks great when it comes off, but I think we have tried dodging that bullet once too often. As for the penalty I would love to see some consitency with the officials, not quite sure we would have been given it, and how often do you see it go unpunished. Still, wasn't expecting a win so whilst dissapointed I think the players still show enough about them to prove that they desrve to be in the top half, possible top eight come the end of the season.

Why is he a simpleton? and how does it all add up, not quite following this. Is it not a bit like the government saying they would match X ammount raised for the phillipines upto a certain ammount. He probably thought he was doing good, and in my eyes he was. Can not see how this thread has disintegrated into Saints fans having a dig at a Saints player, a young one at that!

Football focus were in general had praise for Adam, good for them.

I thought Adam did well, JRod not so much, but if you are going to rate players on this game what did the likes of Lampard do, and even Rooney with his 2 shots (that I can remember). It is still a long time until the finals, a lot can happen before then. Lampard picked up a gold cap, and had a deflected free kick, was there more? I expect the only players who feel happy tonight were those not able or asked to play tonight, as their stock still remains high.

The trouble with the transfer market in January is if at the time the window is open we have no real injury problems, and the team is still playing well, which players would have to drop down to allow the new ones in ? I don't think new players would come to us to keep the bench warm. Our depth may not be there, but it would need some special players to replace our current team.

Plus wasn't the attacks on the 11th of September not 9th of November!

Watched the Manure game tonight and looks like Ashley Young dived to get a penalty. Is it part of the game now and accepted if it's your player, or should it be punished and stamped out? Personally I hate cheating like that, but would no doubt laugh at the fact if we were given a pen in those circumstances.

No blame on the Boruc, freak goal. But Adam on my stream looked dissapointed losing the toss. Winning the toss in these conditions, a bit like puting the opposition goalie in the goal facing the sun first half, can obviously make a difference.

Although we press hard, we do spend a lot of time passing the ball around to give the players a breather. I think during the game you need to balance the 2 tactics out, and this should be enough on a game to game basis. We have a stronger squad now, with many players who would have been first choice last year around, that if need be players could be rested for certain games.

Cheers, couldn't be bothered to Google to check whether they do allow games to be played same day, fair enough if that is the norm.

Only found out tonight that game had been moved, I feel that this is an insult to Saints supporters, are we classed as hardcore and likely to cause trouble, not as far as I know, don't think our fans are real troublemakers. I would have thought minimal police would have been required. Or are the police insinuating the Sunderland fans are thugs? Can honestly not see why this game has been moved. Do they never have Newcastle and Sunderland games at home at the same time?

Perhaps Mr X you should have said Guly and Cork prefered, why single out Guly? I don't see why people have to keep knocking Guly, if it still goes back to that pompey game then give it a rest! Perhaps Guly puts in more effort and shows more commitment in training than Gaston, and deserves a chance?

Agree, Clyne (and or Shaw) more likely to be picked. Must admit for the life of me can not understand why Lampard keeps getting capped, and as for Wellbeck, what a useless player he is. Still if picking players from the top four is the norm for England managers, then if we stay where we are all season then all three, Lambert, Clyne and Shaw will have a chance.

Fair play to Poland, why play someone who is carrying a knock in a game of no importance. Imagine the uproar from Saints fans if he had been forced to play whilst injured. Hopefully he will be fit for Saturday.

I keep seeing in the press or hearing on the radio that we should forget about winning the next world cup, and yes at the moment we haven't even qualified. But what will change in the future, how will future England squads develop? I keep seeing comments that we can't match the skill of other teams, yet when we had the skillful players the likes of Le Tiss they were largely neglected for 'workhorse' players. Over the last few years succesive England managers have stuck with the likes of the Gerrards, Lampards etc. Some quite long in the tooth. How will England progress in the future, no doubt we will soon have the next batch of the 'Old Guard' who will be picked religously ahead of others of the then current in form players. Getting the likes of Hoddle involved, as of now, how will this work? I know I am asking a lot of questions, but I have no answer, and as it seems to me no one does, they just seem to say don't expect to succeed now, but hopefully something will change in the future that will make us winners. But what will change??
