  1. Poyet what a complete and utter tnuc! Wasn't our fault we had to play when we did. Why don't he just kcuf off and .......................
  2. who ever wins it would be good if they hand the award to who ever, directly before kick off, not as they have done in the past 10 mins or more before, when most fans are still drinking etc in the concourses.
  3. still a bit early, probably still in the pub. hope there is a good one tho, nice day for a game
  4. Just hope Chamberlin is going to be fit very soon, definately miss having LLana and Chamberlin on the wings, swapping during the course of a game, causing all sorts of problems with their pace.
  5. Why do we need music anytime anyway? You can't talk to friends before the game or enjoy a quiet drink in the concourse before the game, without loud music bursting your eardrums!!
  6. Our biggest problem seems to be that we don't give our fowards any decent balls. Most games the front two are tracking back into midfield to try and get the ball, and then that puts them in the wrong place for having a go at goal. Our midfield seems to lack the ability of producing defence splitting balls for the fowards to run onto. We don't that often use our width when our wingers are playing, to get to the byeline and put in good crosses for the fowards to attack.
  7. In the end, regardless of all the discussion on here, we will make no difference to the outcome of when he goes, not if. Big fish will always eat smaller fish, and as much as we love Saints, i doubt if his dreams when young (younger than he is now) was to play for us, his dreams would have been to play for the Man U's, Arses, Lpools, and this is what he has the chance of doing now. May be the right move, maybe not, but i doubt he or is family give a stuff about SFC!
  8. Are you Saint J 77's parrot ?
  9. I thought they were doing sketches and not taking photos, they could make a good selling comic out of me.
  10. Don't really care about his comments, but is it not the case that many think he is funny, because to some extent his accent comes accross as him being a bit simple? The press,TV etc. feel that he comes accross as a bit of fresh air, and speaks his mind, even though at times he comes out with the same bollix that other managers have, but without the simpleton voice.
  11. Manji are you sure about this, i know someone who would always get the bus on New Years day to visit relatives, and this was the first year they couldn't because there was no buses, going on their word for that, but they should know.
  12. Think this may be the first time that buses didn't have at least a sunday service new years day. i know their drivers etc. should be able to enjoy a new years eve/day off, but when you are getting the government trying to get people to use public transport more, how can they when you can not rely on it when needed. not only football fans require the buses, but what about those wishing to visit relatives etc, those getting to work at the hospitals, visiting those in hospital. i am sure their are plenty of people working for the bus company may have wanted to work overtime, and phaps an extra 50p per ticket could be charged for journeys on such occasions. Phaps our crowd would have been larger if buses had been running.
  13. You may be right, but how many has Lambert scored from open play this season, or should have scored. How many minutes can Connolly give us without producing his sick note? And as for BWP, how often did he fail to deliver the goods? How many did Lallana miss today? To say he was a passenger!!!
  14. The thing is he got himself in those goal scoring chances, his link up play was good, and had 2 assists. It just seems that don't matter how well a team plays, and the result obtained, there will always be people having a pop at an individual in the team. Are people having a go a Llanna for his missed chances, no! Some great pretty footwork but no goals. Perhaps the management and coaching staff have got it all wrong, if that's the case they should have pulled him off. Barnard was on the bench, but if true and has just had a hernia op, how fit was he. Football is a squad thing, and when you are winning games why change a set up that is working, the likes of Barnard will be needed in the coming months.
  15. Sorry, didn't make myself clear. What i was trying to get accross was that we need to allow Adkins a transfer window to buy players before getting on his back. Loan players are okay short term, but the problem is you can get a player in on loan, does well, then is off to his home club in a few months. Chaplow I know is on loan, but what i was trying to say was that saturday we were missing a defender, midfielder and striker, all of which if fit would have made a difference. Was trying to get two points accross at the same time.
  16. FFS lets give a manager some time, we are in the third division for a reason, do people honestly think that even an Alex Fergusson or Morinhio (sp), could do better with the players available. Yes we are not running away with this league, but would yet another change in management work. Pardew under performed, and for what ever reason has gone, yet still the deluded think we should be walking it. Would Lambert be playing better under Pardew, who knows? Give Adkins the january window and see what he does, this is when we can get permenant players in. Loan players do not seem to be the answer. Puncheon was good when he was trying for a contract, but once obtained was sh1t. If we had won saturday the mood would be different, but we were missing Fonte, Barnard, Chaplow and had no other FIT strikers available on the bench. Are we that far behind the top two, I don't think so!
  17. Agree, so why make changes to the way things have worked in the past
  18. As the game is over a month away why couldn't the club allow a couple of days for season ticket holders to be able to buy a ticket for their own seat? If others think this is an unreasonable request then please tell me why, or is it that they want to be able to grab one of the better seats, even though the person normaly sat in that seat has had to pay more in the first place for their seat (Kingsland Centre more expensive than other parts of the ground i think) for league games. To some it may feel a petty moan that they can not get the seat they want, but to those it affects can be a major reason for not bothering to go. And as said at the start, the game is some way off, so why change something that has worked well in the past and keeps all happy.
  19. I think we can still up it a few gears, where as the rest of the teams in this league are playing at full potential. So my thoughts for this season so far, is we are just starting to go for it on the home straight. Let the others blow themselves out, if teams like Brighton feel that being totally negative against us is a good result, then so be it!
  20. Centre Kingsland I gather are the most expensive seats in the ground. the club is happy to take their money season ticket wise, so why not allow them to buy cup tickets there. If you are used to watching the game on a 50" flat panel, why would you want to watch a cup game on an 18" portable in yor bedroom. A Kingsland fan is just as good as anyone else sitting in the ground, but why be told that buying a season ticket enables you to buy your seat for cup games, but only if we think the game/crowd warrants it. As i have said before, surely the cost of opening the Kingsland would be offset by those going to the game, who wish to buy their ticket there?
  21. Released by Plymouth, MK Dons, and apart from a few good games for us, in my opinion has been very poor. Flatters to decieve.
  22. Surely if they were to open up the Kingsland, i expect there would be many more fans who sit there who would probably attend. You are not expecting any trouble from this sort of game, so paying for a few extra stewards, bar staff etc. would be offset by these fans. If you are looking at such staff being paid about £10 an hour (may be wrong) for each 5 hours of them being there would be £50, 4 extra fans would be paying for them individualy, so say you needed 30 or so extra staff you would only need 40 fans paying £15 to pay for it. 30 staff x £50= £1500. 100 fans x 15 = £1500. I am sure you would get more than 100 fans in the Kingsland! People may wish to be seated nearer the half way line, which can not be achieved by only opening up one side. Late at night so my maths may be completely wrong.
  23. *uck em! £17, way too much. Can't be bothered for this one.
  24. What a F*cking stupid fred! One day in of his contract and we get this ****!!!!!!!!!
  25. Perhaps AP didn't "Embrace the football development and support centre as integrated cooperative units" as quoted on the OS? And felt that he was being undermined by input etc. from those outside the first team set up.
