With the penalty shout, the lino had his flag up and was indicating a dive.

Hi charliemiller, hope your brothers son makes a speedy recoveryy.

Best wishes, hope you are better soon. Football is but a game, your health is all that matters now. Speedy recovery and back on your feet ASAP.

FFS so many people on here are judge jury and executioner. I know nothing about the guy, but surely NA didn't just pluck his name out of the air. At least lets give him a chance, who is to say he might not be good for us. Or are some already booking his ride in the back seat of Gulys' taxi?

12 million profit in the bank, now let's do something with it.

If you listen to Talk Sport, Five live and such radio shows, near on everyone who rings in suggests that what their respective clubs need one more striker and one more CB to strenghthen their team. It is not just a Southampton thing. There are many teams competing for these players, i still think we will get our 2 desired players, but hopefully not at stupid money. -
A win today and then we will think why do we need these extra people, we can still do it with the players we have got. Why do we feel the need to have to buy player A, B C . Why such a rush this year to get to the prem?
-
Have the club actually said what players we were going for. No wonder they like doing things as quietly as possible, and only announcing deals once wrapped up. If we had a bad start to the season it may have been more of a concern, but who is not to say that the set up we have is not good enough? Yes plenty on this site, but I put my faith in those at the sharp end, ie. the manager and coaches at the club. Some people seem to think that if we don't get a certain player then it's all our fault. Do we ever get the real truth why a certain player opts for another club?
-
BBC bunch of stnuc 10 seconds for a team top of the league, will not be bothering again!
-
Gives us the best midfield in this league, and would probably be good enough in the prem!
-
These games would become part of the pre season build up, not instead of. Lets face it even if the game against an unfashionable team was played 2 weeks in to the season, i still feel no more people would attend such a game at that price, as you would already be into playing games midweek and saturday as part of the more important league games. Then the next round once the so called bigger teams are included would probably attract more people.
-
I know to some it may seem trivial, but over the last few seasons, season ticket holders were unable to obtain their own seat, Saints for doing this for the early round(s), appear to be making these games seem less important. Then this comes accross to some that as the games are less imprtant why bother. Add into the cost of £14 for a match against an unfashionable team, then what do they expect. Perhaps the football league should make this first round part of the 'friendlies' set of games, ie. play them before the first games proper in the league. Then you might get more people paying to be able to see a competitive game before the season actually kicks off, not 3 days after you have probably seen a competitve game, to wet your appetite for football.

Ken Livingstone just saw on telly, what a ****ing stupid **** he is. Oh dear i don't have a job oh dear my work prospects are poor, i know what i'll do go and raid Currys! How can he be considred a politician?
-
Just send in the troops and shoot the ****ers. This is not a protest but anarchy, kids looting shops and whatever for their own gains. This would not be tolerated in other countrys.
-
What a stupid comment. If it wasn't for Matty how many people like me would still be following the Saints. The best player ever to wear a Saints shirt in my opinion. Regardless of his recent comments about the club etc. Just watch the DVD Unbelievable and show me any one in the last 20 years did as much for this clubs stature and existence as him. Just look at the likes of AOC who at the age he is, has given but a pinch of salt to this great club!!
-
So who is it then?
-
The seats at St Marys are either very big, or this guy looks too small for a centre back. Looks more like a centre foward type player, possibly a Pahars style of player?
-
Not 100% sure but is he the same player in the news regarding a rape allegation?

"Adkins is the best manager we have had since Strachan"
Hedgehog replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Fair points given above, but why do we need to compare him with past managers. Currently he has given us the first step to what we want, a return to the Premiership. Some may say he inherited a good team in a poor division, but how many England managers have we had since Alf Ramsey, with all the players at their disposal and not managed to achieve a thing. Just let him manage the club as he sees fit and see where we go. Looking foward to this season like i haven't in many a season. -
Hope it's not true, but what do most clubs do before they sell a player, make sure they are on a long contract, and can therefore command a better transfer fee.
-
600k for all you whinging people is cheap, what the fk would you want, nothing to do on a saturday afternoon because SFC no longer existed? So lets all hound the chairman out, where would we be then? its probably down to him that the Liebher family are still involved. Are you paying any more for your tickets than would be expected if we never dropped out of the championship let alone the premiership, if you feel that aggrieved just spend your money else where, or fk off down the road and support another team.
-
But it would be okay if we were paying a player that sort of money? Can never understand why Managers and Chairmen can be paid a lot less than a player, in most areas of work the managers/chairman/ chief executive or what will be earning more than his employees.

Recieved mine today, all games 1 - 23 there. Relief after hearing others problems. For me a stress free transaction, bought on line, asked to be posted, and all done as i had hoped. Renewal, paid in full, so perhaps i am one of the lucky ones who can't fault the ticket office.
-
Haven't had mine yet, although paid for on day 1 of renewal and promised it would be posted, perhaps mine doesn't contain games 1 - 23, not worried yet as no doubt many to be sent out, but perhaps the postman will be sitting next to my mates next year. although for those going on hols, any mistake could come as a shock when they get home with little time to get corrected before first game.

To an outsider the inference was that we were dodgedly owned by a dead person! ie. as a club we were trying to hide something. ****** to this type of journalism. I would be more worried that clubs such as the mighty manure are allowed to opperate many millions in debt (servicable or not) And as for cud chewing manager of said club, do you think he would really come out and admit any real friendship with mister sim, perhaps we should just believe him as he is a sir. Nice that they joked that once cud chewer junior was sacked, senior withdrew his players the very same afternoon. Mr Fergie a man with too much power me thinks.
