I believe I am (or was at least) a distant relative of Matt! My family on mothers side come from Guernsey, Le Guilcher, and mum once mentioned that her cousin was married to his brother. I don't know the details, but think this is what I was told. Definitely not a blood relative as I can hardly kick straight!! ;-)

I have just read the article and although Wotte has overstressed importance of support at Reading, fans HELP with win no more than that, his general point that players will perform better with great support is true. One of the factors which was always quoted in our favour during long stay in premiership on 15,000 gates at Dell was that it was an intimidating place to come to as crowd so close to pitch etc.
