  1. I spent a couple of hours defrosting the fridge last night. Or "foreplay" as she likes to call it!
  2. At least we will have the chance to say a proper thank you to Nigel when they come here in the league next season. Gutted if true he's gone.
  3. Exactly the same trip, think it was the no 14 bus from Holyrood
  4. 1960s : Bob Dylan UK tours 1965/66 and then Jimi Hendrix Exp 1970s : The Who and Led Zep 1980s : Queen and Dire Straits 1990s : Oasis, Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chilli Peppers 2000 onwards : Bruce Springsteen & E Street Band
  5. Just saw this sad news http://www.u****.co.uk/wilko-johnson-diagnosed-with-terminal-cancer-news
  6. If the Old Bill found you swapping contact details with another guy in a public toilet you'd really be in the crapper!
  7. So would any sane person those 3 are all international keepers. The point was I think the general standard of keeping seems quite poor these days. Hardly anyone catches the ball preferring to punch or palm away. Maybe it's the coaching, maybe the ball which they all claim moves all over the place...
  8. Took the 2 grand children (11 & 9) they loved it, I did enjoy it myself but thought it was too long. Preferred End Of Watch myself
  9. Premiership Goalkeepers Given the amount of criticism leveled at Kelvin on here I wonder if anyone else watched MOTD on Boxing Day ; 1. David de Gea palmed the ball straight to Perch for first Newcastle goal (cost around 17 million, captain of Spain U21, in and out of side due to a number of gaffs) 2. Joe Hart not for the first time beaten near post by weak shot from outside the box (undisputed No 1 keeper for England and Premiership Champions) 3. Robert Green not sure how to adequately describe his comical own goal for QPR (established premiership and former England Keeper) I think the forum would have been in meltdown if any of ours had done any of the above.
  10. There was also someone being given CPR in the Kingsland concourse after the Reading game, hope they made it. I remember a gentleman died in the Kingsland (toilets?) last season.
  11. The telephone rang and the lady of the house answered it to find a pervert on the line. He was breathing heavy and then said "I bet you have a tight arse without hair". She said, "He is sitting next to me, who shall I say is calling"?

  14. OP may have missed this one http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?40942-January
  15. If we are still bottom 3 in January would Dawson want to come here?
  16. This is why promotion was such a double edged sword. If we don’t make a success of it not only will we lose millions but more importantly (to me) lose at least our 3 best players including SRL our most popular player since Le Tiss and NA our most popular/successful manager since Lawrie Mac. Quite a price to pay.

    January

I’ve read some posts hoping that if we can keep in touch till January we can bring in better players and maybe push on and stay in this league. If we are still bottom three in January could we reasonably expect Morgan, Adam or Sir Rickie to stay loyal if the likes of Everton/Fulham/Newcastle etc came calling? I except that if we go straight back down we may well lose them but hope they can see the season out at St Mary's whatever happens.
  18. Didn't boo, just an under the breath "Oh No" Do wish he would prove me wrong but I can't see what he brings to the team.
  19. Breaking Bad The Wire 24 Band of Brothers The Sheild The Corner Thought the Sopranos ran out of steam in the final series.
  20. Not "I told you so" but I posted this before he signed. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?31898-Burnley-fans-perspective
  21. Classic!
  22. Reckon this would work.
  23. Great post and a very fair summary, I do think Pardew's part in our resurgance is under estimated in some quarters.
  24. Definately 1987 I was in London watching Bob Dylan/Tom Petty that night so remember it well.
