  1. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, only disappointment was virtually no reference or anecdotes about his time here (5 seasons) apart from saying he enjoyed living in the area.
  2. Been to similar before with Lawrie Mac with Ian Turner and also one with Le Tiss. I'm sure it will rekindle some good memories and get us in the mood for Chelsea.
  3. Sorry somehow posted in wrong place and cannot edit, now on forum
  4. http://www.grand-cafe.co.uk/events/l...-peter-shilton A ticket was bought for me as a Christmas present, 10 of us going Apparently David Armstrong will be there and possibly Francis Benali Anyone else going or been to one previously?
  5. http://www.grand-cafe.co.uk/events/lunch-with-peter-shilton A ticket was bought for me as a Christmas present, 10 of us going Apparently David Armstrong will be there and possibly Francis Benali Anyone else going or been to one previously?
  6. Why not, it is competitively priced, my senior ticket in Kingsland £7 and why would any Saints fan want to go and watch Bolton?
  7. I have had him on ignore for the last 2 seasons - waste of time because everyone keeps quoting him in their replies !
  8. A similar thread here, http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?36351-Who-are-You#.VL6QLiwgSnM I wonder how many still post here or maybe some just changed their user names?
  9. I also went to St Mary's (1962 - 1968) lived in Hythe. Hamilton Saint is another that went to St Mary's the same time also living in Hythe. I think first game we lost at home to Plymouth 1961 (think keeper was injured and Terry Paine went in goal ) been a lifelong fan and now a STH in Kingsland
  10. In the interview above he says from 8th Jan so should be available for Manure on 11th Jan
  11. I won't buy it because of Zola Budd !
  12. Saints 0 Watford 3 a guy a near me in the Kingsland walked to the front and threw his season ticket on the pitch. Wonder if he ever came back?
  13. Thanks Duncan I am enjoying the book and always welcome any updates or new stories.
  14. Although I have the album it comes from "Chimes Of Freedom" the songs of Bob Dylan, I had not seen the video Many thanks
  15. Signed - there but for the grace of god.... Good Luck
  16. Agree with most of that but not Bony, would have him here in a heartbeat, even playing in a struggling team (relatively speaking) I'm betting he will outscore our present strikers this season

    Well

    Shay Given
  18. Ashamed to say Edward 11 have somehow passed me by but I'm now in catch up mode and will have to invest in some of their recordings. Strange that I've always intended to do Sidmouth but not made it so far.
  19. Unfortunately no Richard Thompson this year, he's just finished the Americana tour with Wilco, My Morning Jacket and Bob Dylan. Some bands I'd never seen before that really impressed were Edward 11, Danny & The Champions Of The World, Brooke Williams and The Peatbog Faeries, I'm sure there will be lots on youtube. Alice Cooper blew everyone else away on Thursday night and really got the crowd going while Fairport played an impressive 3 hours to close the show last night with guest appearance from Tom Robinson. Great experience helped by lovely weather. Miserableoldgit - put it on your bucketlist.
  20. Just got back from a great 4 days at this lovely festival. Did any other Saints attend?
  21. Interesting article about Dyer especially his career stats http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/aug/02/1
  22. Don't hold you breath a few weeks ago VMAN asked the last person on here to put the light out, I imagine he'd had enough of the petty bickering and point scoring that ruin so many threads.
  23. Yep that will do it What a relief no more ruined threads I'm sure all the reasonable posters will return immediately
  24. Maybe they should make the players pay their agents from their own signing on fee.
