  1. Won't that be bad for them? Last night - 4 mile run, couple of glasses of wine infront of telly Today - 5 mile run, watch Saints, pub with the missus Sun - 6 mile run, dinner at Mums, pub quiz Pretty quiet one.
  2. Newcastle are pure comedy gold. They make us look like a professional operation. Rubbish chairman. Rubbish team. Fans that are up themsleves. And now a has-been-no hoper in charge. I can't help but laugh....
  3. Never quite as fun if you ask first though is it! ....can't beat the element of surprise.
  4. Quote: Originally Posted by some ****ty website Katy Perry kissed a girl, and she liked it! That song is as catchy as “Umbrella” and as tacky as, well, “Umbrella”. I was going to post about how it may be the song of the summer, but upon reading Gawker, I found out some interesting gossip on Katy Perry…or should I say Katy Hudson? GASP! Way more interesting than what I originally had in mind! Katy Hudson, Katy Perry’s former self, was a Christian rock singer. That’s right, CHRISTIAN rock. Oh sweet irony, you publicity whore! Here is my favorite aspect about the whole thing- she was interviewed by Seventeen Magazine (the magazine for all those under the age of 17 and who wish they were 17. When you are 17, you read Cosmo, duh.) and said some amazing about everyone’s favorite topic–sex. Katy has a steady boyfriend, but she doesn’t believe in sex before marriage. “I know what it does to people,” she says. “One night my boyfriend and I went a little too far and I felt like I’d fallen so far away from God. I doubted myself and my strength. I was so weak at the time in my relationship with Christ.” Interesting. A facial on the first date is out then I suppose...
  5. Fri - Muay Thai sparring, followed by food and a beer at home with the missus. Sat - Gym, listen to Saints, cook a load of curries with the missus, whilst drinking wine. Eat said curries with lots of lager and watch the Two Towers. Sun - Lay in, run, relax, maybe go for a walk, eat left over curry. Go to pub quiz. Should be nice relaxing one.
  6. Well....... I was just about to say that we really would benefit from John coming on. Now, I think we really need his hold up play. Thank god I've got some beer in the fridge.
  7. Muay Thai 3/4 times a week, plus run a couple of times. Done a bit less over the summer, since I was doing weights instead of running. Getting back to the running now in preparation for the marathon. I get phases where I'm really into it and do extra for a few weeks; and spend all day looking forward to the workout. Sad? Exercise is definitely something you should do for enjoyment and not because you feel you have too. A good workout, followed by a beer or two and a good meal. Perfection!
  8. King Charles - Kingsworthy. Not the bestest pub in the world, but a decent set of locals. Go in on any given night, and you're guaranteed to find someone to have a good old chinwag with. Sunday night quiz is good too......
  9. Shame I can't post pikkies, but I'm having fun with this now it runs...! Still needs some work, but it's not bad.
  10. Ocean Gym. Middle of Southampton; basically next door to FYEO. Predominantly a Muay Thai gym, but also does boxing and MMA classes. Fully equipped with padded floor, boxing ring etc. Run by Sean Toomey, one the most highly rated Thai coaches in the UK. Sessions have a good mixture of very good Thai fighters (English champions), some excellent MMA guys, and a load of dedicated beginners. The gym is the 'real deal' seriously high quality (and physically demanding) training. If you have any interest in training/sparring, and are anywhere near Southampton, it is well worth a visit. Since it wasn't you who gave me my black eye, I'll cherish your post!
  11. Ocean Gym? And was it me? Coe to think of it I didn't face too many jab issues on Friday....that i can remember.
  12. Been watching Sky Sports for the last 1 1/2 hours and have not heard anything.
  13. Myleen Klass Scarlett Johansson Karen O ..and that's my 3 posts for today..!
  14. I second that. All films that, if on TV, you HAVE to watch. Its the law.
  15. Fri - Muay Thai sparring. Shin is knackered now, but good session. Beer and telly. Sat - Watch Saints, drink beer and cook loads of curry wih the missus. Eat curry and more beer. Watch crap film. Sun - Lay in. Gym. Big lunch, pub quiz. Shaping up to be a good one. 9/10.
  16. Met Jim Kerr - Simple Minds lead singer, in Glasgow about 5/6 years ago. I came out of a meeting, onto the street and he walked past. Trotted after him and got his autograph, then stood chatting on the street for about 10 mins. Genuinely nice bloke. Trained with a few of the contestants from 'The Contender: Muay Thai' just after it has finished. A couple were real tossers....though you wouldn't tell them!
