  1. I was wrong; it was 5 minutes. Go on Apple guys - give Lumia a try....
  2. In fact, about 20 minutes I think...
  3. Its a **** test with no relevance to living in the UK. Added to this is the fact that not all people seeking residency need to take it: if your English is not good enough then you can do a 9 week course (1.5 hours a week), which includes assessments (basic listening and speaking). At the end of the course you get an official government certificate to include in your ILR application. Which means you can have **** English skills but still get residency.
  4. Symbian Belle is excellent. If it had come out a year ago Nokia would be a far different company now. Been playing with it on an E7 for a few weeks - runs faster than Symbian3 and Symbian Anna: 70% less code. I was refering to something else though. Not long now........
  5. You're gonna LOVE whats coming.
  6. You can't swallow your tongue: not medically possible. It can block you breathing though.
  7. Christ. I had forgotten all about him! Clearly made a massive impact on me...
  8. Anyone tried Windows Phone 7? The latest version 'Mango' is seriously good. Social integration and the 'Peop,e Hub' really is a great experience.
  9. Used Symbian 'Belle' yet? Very different experience - good though.
  10. Nokia Windows Phone out in November. And its excellent.
  11. Watched 'Let the Right One In' on Film 4 t'other night. Swedish horro/romance movie. Nice little film - really enjoyed it. 8/10 Source Code: Decent, but should have ended 5 minutes before it did: hate Hollywood ending - what's wrong with leaving it hanging? 7/10 Limitless - Good silly fun. 7/10
  12. Good thread! Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter Stone Roses - Fools Gold Levellers - Another Mans Cause Simple Minds - Hunter and the Hunted Down in the Tube Station at Midnight - Jam Harlot's Ghost - Norman Mailer
  13. Francis Barnowli
  14. Made this my holiday read. Brilliant book: imaginative, funny and with a great twist.
  15. Save me a spot by the telly for 5.00!
  16. Quite a few Leeds fans in Winchester. Giving it the Munich song too,
  17. Was an excellent player for us, strong, committed, hard working. IIRC we had him on loan, and had a bit of a battle to sign him permanently? Sold by Lowe to balance the books (ha!)
  18. Loved him. Always get a little wistful thinking back on his career here. Has any other single player had such a lasting impact with so few games for us?
  19. Any idea where one might choose to watch this online?
  20. Beginners courses at the Ocean Gym Southampton....let you get back into shape slowly, and build up the skills/fitness for the normal classes. MMA + boxing on offer too. There are a few of us late 30s (and a fair few into their mid 40s).
  21. Did Karate for about 12 years: Black Belt, fought in loads of competitions. Dabbled in Muay Thai - hated it: too hard. Did Jeet Kune Do for about a year. Did MMA/BJJ for about a year. Got into Muay Thai (decided it was hard but worth the effort) and have been doing that for about 8 years. Love it. Age is definitively catching up with me now though! So more into it for the fitness rather than the fighting.

  23. Muay Thai: would train every day if work didn't get in the way (that and age); usually do 3/4 sessions a week now. Forces Fit: got into it about 3 months ago (having got fed up with boring jogging - which I only used to do to help with fitness for Thai); hard work and the combination of bodywork exercises and running complements Thai very well; go 2/3 times a week. Going to the pub. I'm British in'I?! Relaxing with my amazing wife.
  24. Aim for the stars, you might just get the moon.
  25. I like that as a 4-5-1, with the opportunity for Chaplow to make forward runs
