  1. Glad Chun is getting a run out, and pleased it is with Gaston behind him. Assuming he has the same pace/movement as when he first joined. Looking forward to a Purple Archer celebration.
  2. Better vs. Liverpool. The pressing and movement was back. But still one or th other for me. Let's give Ossie a run on his own.
  3. Where's the 'Like' button? I want to hit it hard. We CANNOT play SRL and Ossie together, and deliver a high pressing, progressive, posession game. It's one or the other, or it's hoof-ball.
  4. I have been a big MP fan; but now I am quickly going off him. If he gets back to his basic philosophy, with Ossies extra class upfront I can see progress, if not the yes: he's looking like the Spainish Steve Bruce.
  5. SRL to become our super sub. As I said at the end of last season. And again when we signed Ossie. I am in danger of sounding like another SWF troll.....
  6. Yes, yea, farking yes. Been saying this since the first SRL/Ossie game together. Was so obvious today. We are starting to look like Stoke a couple of years ago.
  7. Did I just post this? Echoes my thoughts. Get back to the shape that was delivering for us. Play either Ossie or SRL. I am starting to get ****ed off with MoPo.
  8. With SRL and Ossie playing together we wonn't see the pressing/passing game we are used to under MoPo, cause we give up the fluidity of our midfield. He needs to recognise this, and quick.
  9. Watching the Wet Ham game. Ossie has some skills, but 2 up front messes too much with our shape. One or t'other, not both.
  10. Always thought Ron Jeremy was well overrated....
  11. Agree in principle, and was contemplating this earlier. SRL looked great for Engerlaand with pace coming from wide. Can't see that being replicated at Saints though. Why spend 15m on a striker then play him wide?
  12. My view is that we can't play them together. They are both excellent pivots around which a fluid middle three can operate. We won't be effective with two pivots. Said it last season and will say it again: SRL, legend that he is , will soon be Saints supersub. Can sentimentality exist alongside progress? Chappers, Hammond and Kelvin were great for us too.....
  13. Close the thread - you nailed it. We can't play with both SRL and Ossie - and please MoPo, don't try that again. This team is nailed on our best 11. SRL coming off the bench late on to cause havoc on a tired back line. 3-1 Saints. Spider, Lallana, Ossie
  14. This. Yesterday we were so far away from the shape that we have become used to it was like watching a different team; no-one performed. Hope we don't try to accommodate SRL and Ossie like that again.
  15. We looked lacklustre and seemed to have no shape, our passing was pedestrian and at times just plain bad. Just no fizz or energy. Personally I am putting this down as a bad day at the office - no more than that; I see no point in drawing wider conclusions on MP, players, tactics etc. However, I absolutely expect a better performance next time out.
  16. Fine. But how is he ever going to get a blowey? If our young players don't get regularly noshed off, how can we possibly progress as a serious football outfit?!
  17. Thank you Deano. Captain of Colchester stuffing Norwich, to captain of Saints legendary rise. Cheers, good luck: a true pro.
  18. I need to see the Warhammer chick. Not want: need.
  19. This is my first thought too. Yes, for first team managers 'its a results-driven business'. Surely for the Academy/U21 teams 'its a youth development-driven business'. With three 18 year old academy graduates in the first team I reckon they're doing all right.
  20. Picking up the new car in about 2 weeks. No doubt the BMW sales guy will try to get me to buy their paint/interior protection treatment; have always felt this is a massive rip off. Audi charge about £450.. Looking for views on whether it is worth getting some kind of protection done, and what I should pay? Could I do an equivalent job with the Autoglym stuff you use at home? Could I get something done via 3rd party?
  21. WOOT! COYyRs! Nuns. Muffins. Tear 'em a new one. Any updates?
  22. I thought Banega wasn't moving cause his club didn't need the money? I do have a feeling we'll be back for him before Monday.....it seems that The Don does not always believe No Means No.
  23. Wonder if the failed medical was Tadanari Lee? NA was a big fan, and it would explain why he hasn't moved/been linked anywhere else. Digging up and commenting on random posts while off sick. I need to find something else to fill my time today.
  24. Banega? Cresswell? That Senegalese (?) CB we were linked with a week or two back?
