Thought he was the weak link today although he was playing out of position and I've never seen him look comfortable at full back. Memories of West Ham away a couple of seasons ago when he first played out of position there. However, I thought Tohy was outstanding and had Costa in his pocket all day. Toby was mom for me. What a player and how comfortable he looks in most positions

Maya Yoshida wants a new deal at Saints
Mouldy Coat replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Yoshida is useless and not what we need as back up. I would rather recruit a decent young championship centre half to sit on the bench than Yoshida. Sadly he has never looked comfortable. -
I will support him now because no point getting on his back whilst in a saints shirt but wish he would shut the fook up. If we had a suitable replacement lined up I would fook him off in January right away.

Saints vs Sheffield Utd (A) Capital One Quarter Final
Mouldy Coat replied to Bearsy's topic in The Saints
We'll take 5000 to this easy, so long as sheff Utd will offer us the additional seats -
I can't see any club risking £20m on a player who hasn't played a single game since a serious injury. More likely to go in the summer than January when he shown he is injury free and played a few first team games. He will be on the bench to start with and will have to show he is free of injury and be in impact sub

Lol not sure. I have a season ticket in block 3 and my mate bought a ticket for the Leicester game a few weeks ago and is right next to me, so I assumed this season was now open to normal fans. I think the staff are now in block 4
-
Block 3 is open again as it used to be before the corners got shut and club stopped reserving just for staff etc....its slowly re-emerging and showing signs of getting back to how it was. I have noticed more lads buying the day tickets now for Itchen corner as opposed to kingsland north so it will definitely get rocking again

These are appearing everywhere at the minute especially at away games..is the cool, a fad or an epidemic? Also what player features most prominent? In my view its franny Not sure what to think but just spent a tenner on a load of retro stickers. Maybe I'm a ****...watch this space

I like Boruc he is a decent keeper. However, Forster has more of a calming influence than Artur and doesn't try and over play it at the back. I like the fact Fraser just sticks his laces through it at any sign of trouble or being closed down. I think this is the big difference and if Artur gets his chance again he needs to take this on board. Confidence as a keeper is important but having confidence in your keeper is equal to it. I also praise Artur for dropping down a level to get game time, I am sure if and when called upon, he will take his chance and not let us down

he just needs to arch his runs a bit that's all. No need to be offside if you have the beating of them for pace

Fonte has been outstanding and is our best cb at the minute and is captain. From what I saw at Arsenal I too believe Gardos could be the one to partner Jose but just shows the strength of our squad now. Difficult to leave Toby out as i don't think he has come here to sit on the bench, but there is a fight for second cb spot
-
You would hope that Matt Targett would take a look at the Luke Shaw situation at United and think he would be better off at Saints getting game time (which I am sure he will get more appearances after that performance at Arsenal). However, £160k a week again for the next 5 years would be difficult to turn down

I can wear the trench coat if that's what you are looking for ;-)

Please pm me a picture of yourself. I could be interested

Sadly for him I think he is well down the pecking order now
-
Can admin please change to 41, I stand corrected!! Will take some effort to beat that this season
-
If it had been Arsenal or Liverpool, MOTD would have shown every single pass and crow about it got weeks. Yes it was only Newcastle and already 3-0 up but what a team effort
-
Amazing number of passes before the 4th goal versus Newcastle, probably as many consecutive passes that I can remember before a goal. Does anyone know what the record for Saints?
-
Jays been out with a very serious injury and is still likely to be out to a while. So any talk of a major transfer involving Jay is simply bull. There are no guarantees that he will be the same player for us when he starts playing again. Jeez reality grip needed

He's injured ;-)

Has everyone forgotten about Florin Gardos?
Mouldy Coat replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
Gardos has probably been given a significant payrise and is more than likely going to be more happy to wait for his chance than others especially that he is coming back from injury -
Jay Rod has a serious injury so if Spurs are stupid enough to gamble on him I will eat my hat. He won't leave so it has nothing to do with AT
