  1. Flights booked Wednesday to Friday Amsterdam. Flights £138 return BING*******GO
  2. Les Reed does the contract handling so probably doesn't mean anything Re Koeman contract situation and if Clasie signs for 5 years
  3. It is concerning that FC Twente fans refer to our new signing as Coco the Clown and 'het venster licker' when translated to English it means he is a window licker.

Ha ha agreed but I'd be very surprised if Koeman felt that Yoshida would be adequate as first choice centre back. Distribution score ZERO
  5. I'm prepared to give the fella a fair chance, but the moment he has a single lapse in concentration or misplaced a pass I will berate him, boo and tell him to fook off back to the curacoa islands or wherever he is from.... :-)
  6. If you read the FC Twente forum you would be led to believe we are signing the poor mans Danny Fox. I'll reserve judgment for now

I thought the £1.5m did get paid to Saints but was beyond the deadline agreed. Hence why Saints are claiming they have right to buy?

He probably already knew they were off fella
  9. I agree with Toomer. We should force the hand. If Cedric shows promise then Clyne should play back up to Cedric until he shows he is committed to the club by signing s contract to stay. Otherwise risk missing out on the Euros. However, I think it is all hypothetical myself as the domino effect will start once a big deal is landed and Saints will get nearer their asking price
  10. Saints Poopey cup final that year would have been murder all the way up to Waterloo and beyond
  11. I fancied us to have turned Sunderland over in the Semi final (They were league below us) John Byrne scoring in every round up until the final to knock out Notwich in the Semi's
  12. We're better with Irene in goal than Davis :-)
  13. Great goal...it's also interesting that we seem to like to put failed club managers as our U21 manager. Platt, Pearce, Southgate, Etc
  14. Add to the team Wiltshire, Ox, Sterling, Stones, Barkley, Ince, Shaw and the West Brom lad and we might beat these!!
  15. You hear criticism that we maybe don't take it seriously enough which is sad. However, you only have to look at the amount of support from Sweden (numbers and vocally) versus English fans to think maybe there is some truth in it
  16. Good point MLG but how many were genuine through ball assists versus just passing the ball to someone and them doing all the work? If he is playing in the central midfield advance position rather than deep lying midfielder then I would expect a player in that role to contribute to our assist and goals tally. I'm not writing JWP off jas I think his dead ball ability is fantastic - he just needs to be more consistent (which will hopefully come with games because he is obviously showing it in training). However I think he lacks pace and physical presence so he needs to let his passing range and undoubted dead ball ability do the talking through consistent performances - this hasnt happened yet hence why there are doubting people (unfairly maybe at this early stage in his career).
  17. Who remembers the day?....one game most have probably forgotten given the 0-0 score line and outcome of the replay at Carrow Road with Le-Tiss and Horne both getting sent off and then Saints nearly holding out for another penalty shoot out with 9 men. This after beating United away on Pens and then a heroic Barry Horne effort at the Dell v Bolton to take it into extra time sparking wild pitch invasions. The game v Norwich at home was scrappy but I remember Hurlock giving Robert Fleck a nice flying forearm in the face on the half way line and right in front of the ref and getting away with it. However, the question is....Franny Benali was sporting two black eyes before the start of that game at the dell, but does anyone know why?
  18. I don't care where he goes so long as we get £25m
  19. well that's a matter of opinion S-Clarke but my point was more around playing a (and you can't say he is better than average) premier league cb out of position as our only real cover at RB if Clyne goes...hence why I think we need cover there still unless McCarthy can break through (and there are question marks about that currently) but I hope I am proved wrong
  20. We lost more games than we won with Yoshida having at least 45 mins on the pitch (which is a fair assessment) last season.....and this was in our most successful year. I think that stat speaks volumes. However, my point was that he isn't adequate cover at RB so it does have a bearing on the strength of our squad if we are relying on a mediocre cb playing out of position.
  21. Sorry but he is an accident waiting to happen at right back, he has had some ok games at centre back but he definitely isn't even a premier league standard right back, so if that's our next best right back option when Clyne goes, we will get exposed against good teams in the premier league and Europe big time
  22. Except Toby is not here and Yoshida is so flat footed it's unreal....we definitely need another RB cover if and when Clyne goes Yoshida's pass distribution is very poor, doesn't offer the same mobility up the flanks and worries the life out of me at centre back let alone when he is being played out of position at RB
  23. Let's all have a **** eating contest...more marks for the runniest - slurp
