Ipswich losing now. It'll be "McKenna out" soon enough no doubt from their fans.
-
Almost another Ramsdale special but bailed out.
-
AA on...
-
Ipswich 2 up
-
How many times have we said that over the last 12 years or so...
-
Fernandes is the new Boufal, Ramirez, Osvaldo etc. Generally crap but every now and again does something great and then lives off it for the next month.

Stephens > Bednarek

Lol Bednarek...
-
Why have they started announcing it at 14:50 this season?
-
You're trolling right? 0:30...You're going to sit there and say that's not a foul??
-
Maybe so but what you've essentially described is VAR doing it's job right. It was a foul and a blatant red card. I've not seen a single person dispute that.
-
When we approached him, he was flying out to see their American owners because they wanted him to sign a new contract.
-
Yes, I remember that one. Didn't know Dean was on VAR though - I don't remember that first 9-0 being anything awful in the refereeing department. Bertrand had to go and if I remember rightly, they could have actually had a penalty just after half time.

Oh yes!! Sorry, 2005 it was because it was just after relegation. School boy error from me. After the game Adam B (I think he was there at the time) was interviewing Harry Redknapp and like I said he went absolutely mental saying stuff like "You been booked, Adam? Well I'll let him know so I can tell him to book you now! If there's anyone he's missed, I'll tell him so he can book him on the way to the car" and "I just asked the fourth official what the penalty was for and the stupid little man calls the referee over...Sad innit" For all the controversy surrounding Harry's time with us, no one's telling me he didn't care. Granted he probably actually cared about his own ego and reputation more than the club (fair enough really) but it puts pay to this silly conspiracy theory that he came to us specifically to take us down. Also, Idiakez actually missed the initial penalty for them (talk about foreshadowing) but scored the retake and it was also him that put the free kick in to the offside player.

Only one 9-0. Pretty sure the one against Leicester was Andre Marriner and he actually got every decision spot on. No complaints at all about the officiating in that game.

Nigel Miller - Derby away Sept or Oct 2006 - We were 1-0 up going into about the 80th minute, they got a ridiculous penalty, Niemi saved it and it was pulled back because he moved or something. It was scored. Then they got a free kick which was never a foul which they indirectly scored from when a player in an offside position when the kick was taken headed in. Thankfully Fuller scored a volley from 30 yards with the keeper off his line in the last minute and we got a point but that was truly the worst referee I've ever seen at a Saints game. Harry Redknapp went absolutely apesh1t after the game and if he only cared for about his job at Saints for one game, it was that one.

I'm simply saying that things COULD be worse contrary to what has been stated previously.
-
But we could have 0 points after 8 games.
-
Is 1 the lowest possible number of points we could have then?
-
How many times have we said "it can't get any worse" and then it's got worse. Of course it could get worse. I do wonder about the caretaker manager if one is needed though. Russ has always made a point that he and all the coaching staff he brought with him are a unit - He said if one of them didn't want to come here or Swansea, none of them would have. So presumably all the staff would go too so I wonder who'd be in charge and it probably would actually be Lallana. That's gonna make a few (including me) on here feel old.

Don't really get this attitude. I don't care one way or the other but The King's great great great grandad was German? Isn't that it?
-
My gosh, I've finally just watched the winning Leicester goal...Are we STILL saying Ramsdale is the best thing since sliced bread??
-
I can only comment on our most recent top flight stint - We spent 11 years up. At least 7 of them were whinged about as "not being good enough". So the fact that these top flight seasons are meant to be make up some kind of pride in this club is something I just can't take seriously.
-
Why would he NOT be that way? He had a relatively comfortable job, he took another one, relocated, got promoted, got offered a new contract, signed it and now he's somehow the bad guy for not wanting to walk away from a huge pay out. As for "great football club"....That's just adorable.

You were expecting a different response? Even if he'd been told yesterday "Win or you're being sacked" what response was he going to give there?/
