Not sure about that. He was average and nowhere near as good as we thought he would be but certainly not one of the worst.

If Bednarek or THB had had an identical game there'd be petitions for them to be knighted. As far as the bulk of our fans go there are two types of players: Players who can do no right and players who can do no wrong.

Spot on. I genuinely wish the Poch/Koeman years hadn't happened because they've totally ruined this fanbase. Literally nothing is ever good enough anymore. Which makes it harder to get behind when it actually ISN'T good enough - ie most of this season.

Stephens has been fine since he came back after suspension. The vendetta against him our fans have is even weirder than Martin's insistence on starting him. He was probably our best player against the best team in the world 2 weeks ago. Yet the God-awful Bednerak gets away with it week in week out.

Indeed but the mistakes he made earlier in the season....Not saying he hasn't been very good the last few games but I just worry it's too much too soon.

If he did had 28 more "poor games but scored a goal" would you say the same? I mean, obviously he won't but IMO a striker literally can't play badly if he scored a goal.

Eh? I mean, I've supported the club for 20 years and though I appreciate that that's a fraction of other people's tenures as fans, I'm really not sure my age can be held against me for these purposes? Edit: Another "clown" call. The only word football fans seem to know.

I haven't made any comparison? I'm simply pointing out how weird it is for a football club to give their manager time. It simply isn't the done thing.
