  1. Jack Cork as well
  2. Looks like Mark Clattenburg was right all along but no. I'd rather we just focused on the team we have (or at least the one we will have when the fixture comes about)
  3. Pelle having medical tomorrow apparently (according to a Facebook Saints rumour page anyway)
  4. Remember when Kenwyne Jones did this? All it did was encouraged the other club to cough up the money we wanted
  5. As long as it doesn't get the better of his managerial duties or let things slip etc, what's the problem? If he wants to let us know what he's having for dinner then who cares?
  6. I went to school with him. True story
  7. Incomprable. Lambert deserves this. Poch is a **** as Wade said. The one that gets me is how anyone can say Poch is any different from Adkins. Poch only did to us what Adkins did to S****horpe FOR us, walked out as soon as a bigger job came along.

What is it about the World Cup that turns football fans so fickle? I saw a load of Facebook status' and posts on a facebook group I'm on claiming that Messi isn't even in the top 10 in the world and is crap etc while the Argies were 0-0. I've also had a friend tell me that Gerrard is the most overrated player in England history and shouldn't have been anywhere near the England squad. Not to mention all the abuse Rooney's getting. Seriously, why do some football fans ignore everything else players have done in their careers (and even in this season) and pay attention to their WCs? Honestly don't get it
  9. Spurs away I reckon
  10. SSN said earlier they're the first pair of brothers to form a management team in the PL....Did Iain Dowie not have his brother as his assistant at Palace?
  11. So is his brother not coming?
  12. Silly comment. In that case anyone who enjoys films or any fictional TV series also lives in a fantasy world...
  13. I don't get the whole hatred for MP for being "disloyal". Nigel Adkins was supposedly committed to Scunny till we came along and then he dicthed them at the first chance he got. Which makes Nige better than Poch, how? I know you didn't say anything about Adkins, but have seen a few "Nigel wouldn't have ditched us" posts on here. If Koeman does really well here (assuming he comes), gets us higher in the league and wins a trophy or two then big clubs will start coming in for him. And he will probably go. It's just how the football food chain works. I don't have any bitterness about MP leaving to take the Spurs job, it was more the way he left than actually leaving. If he'd come out a day or so after the last game and said he was going, resigned properly and been instated as Spurs manager a few weeks later, I'd have thanked him and wished him well.
  14. They don't. Everyone thinks the media dislike and have an agenda against their club
  15. I wouldn't be absolutely devastated with Steve Bruce. I rate him as a manager, I think he's very underrated but I don't think he's quite the right fit for us. That being said I would be quite underwhelmed that we're being linked with names like Mancini and De Boear or however it's spelt (who despite the fact he's only proven in one league with one job is still a big name) and could end up with Steve Bruce. But like I said, I do think he's a good manager. I don't think i twill be him though, I still think it'll be Koeman
  16. Don't suppose you happened to post this at the time, did you?
  17. I'm glad it's not just me that thinks Mancini would be a brilliant appointment. Can't see it though, doesn't fit in with the logistics that Les Reid was talking about yesterday
  18. We've had great starts the last few years? The season before the one just gone we were bottom with 4 points from our first 10 games having lost 8 of them. You see that as a great start?
  19. Some may not like it on here but sadly, he's spot on. But no I don't think that's what he's saying. I just think he's saying at this current time there are a lot of bigger clubs than Southampton to play for and that's why we're struggling to hold on to our best players. Like I said, he's spot on
  20. If Clough's spell in charge of Leeds deserves a film then surely this does!?
  21. So just for a laugh, if they ever turn Rickie Lambert's story into a film, who would you cast? Rickie Lambert - Arnold Switziganer Markus Liebherr - John Larroquette Katrina Liebherr - Pam Ferris Rupert Lowe - Hugh Dennis Nicola Cortese - Scott Cohen Ralph Kruger - John Simm Nigel Adkins - Hugh Laurie Alan Pardew - Michael French Mauricio Pochettino - Leonardo DiCaprio Dean Wilkins - David Armand Michael Fialka - Andrew Brooke Roy Hodgson - Nicholas Ball Adam Lallana - Tyger Drew Honey Jose Fonte - Ralph Little Luke Shaw - James Buckley Jay Rodriguez - Jamie Borthwick Kelvin Davis - Tom Welling Brendan Rodgers - Ardal O'Hanlon Rickie Lambert's father - Nicholas Lyndhurst Rickie Lambert's mother - Dawn French Rickie Lambert's grandmother - Maggie Smith Rickie Lambert's wife: Sheridan Smith Rickie Lambert's beetroot factory boss - John Challis
  22. Any Saints fan that begrudges him this is a ****. If there was a player at Fleetwood (who have just got about 5 promotions in 6 years or something) who was a life long Saints fan but had been with Fleetwood through that journey and was in the final years of his career when Saints made an approach, do you think Fleetwood fans would begrudge him for going here? He has the chance to see out his playing days in the Champions League playing for Liverpool who are HIS team. As much as I'm disappointed, I'm not disappointed in him. I'm genuinely happy for him and I think if he's in the team against us next season, he should get the biggest cheer of any opposition player ever. My favourite ever Saints player. The man's been a legend. Thanks for coming on this amazing journey with us, Rickie. All the best and congratulations on achieving your life long dream. The final chapter of The Rickie Lambert fairytale.
  23. Ronald Koeman looks like Mark Wotte
  24. It really is quite exciting to see so many big name managers being linked with us!
  25. I'd take McClaren. Very good club manager who's reputation has been sadly dented by the disaster of his spell in charge of England but as others have said, there's a few I'd have before him
