I imagine Ings and/or Lallana are both done but they're waiting until after England bottle the Euros to announce it so they can put "Football may not be coming home...But this fella is!!" Or something.
-
Isn't that why most people do their jobs? Or leave jobs for other jobs?
-
If we offer him a good wage, guaranteed regular starts and a reasonable release clause should we go down, there's no reason why he wouldn't.
-
Have we had our biannual link to The Ox yet?
-
Agree with all of that
-
Agreed. How anyone rates him is beyond me. Slow, crosses rarely beat the first man, often out of position, gives the ball away. The only aspect of football he's actually good at is a long shot which, for a full back should be nothing more than an added bonus (like Clyne). I will concede that he gives his all but that just isn't enough on it's own. And yes he's better than Manning but I really hope that's not our criteria in that position.

Wasn't a fan earlier in the season but since Feb-March he's really kicked on and proven me wrong!
-
Like Newcastle's?
-
How would they even do the stadium expansion? Take the sides off and then build up...Or...?
-
This might be the fastest Lallana has moved in his life.
-
I was at a party once in 2009 I think it was and got chatting to someone who had bumped into him in a night club a few weeks earlier. It was the end of our first season in League One (I think) and this guy asked Lallana if we were going up the next season and Lallana's response was "I don't give a fvck, I'm not gonna be here!" Obviously he was here so something changed and at the time I dismissed it as drunk ramblings from some stranger but then when this stuff about him refusing to train etc came out, it did make me think back to that.

https://talksport.com/football/1898060/southampton-transfer-latest-danny-ings-west-ham/ Another "would be good in the Championship but no thanks for the Prem" former player being linked back.
-
The key word there.
-
No idea. For obvious reasons I haven't really followed the PL much. I'm just going by comments I've seen here and there about him. I get the impression that much like Baz, he's a talented keeper but got put into the spot light too soon.
-
Can't believe Phillips is even being suggested. Woeful player who had that one good game for England that one time and has lived off it ever since. Didn't even think he was THAT good at Leeds.
-
Has Trafford even been that good for Burnley? If we're going for a new keeper (which I guess we have to) then surely we get someone in the Boruc mould. Someone with experience to come in, shore things up and also be a mentor to Baz (who I believe will come good)

Championship 23/24. Odds at start. This is what you could have won...
Bad Wolf replied to Rut's topic in The Saints
Really surprised at Ipswich being so short. I didn't think they'd be relegation fodder but never thought they'd be promoted either. I had them about 10th. -
Tomasz Hajto got 62 caps for Poland.
-
Technically THB is our first signing. If we hadn't been promoted I'd have probably taken Lallana but as a PL team? No thank you.
-
The bloke is an absolute legend. The hate he gets for the simple crime of not being perfect is ridiculous. He probably had the simplest objective of any Saints manager in history. Get us up - He's succeeded Don't get us up - He's failed He's done what he set out to do. No doubt 3 games into next season he'll be back to being a "clown with no plan b" or something.
-
Decent championship defender. Proven to be out of his depth in the Prem. His shouting at teammates for his own errors is a joke.
-
Also, drinking at that time of the day means you have to continue drinking and get utterly wasted OR stop drinking and have that tired, hungover feeling for the rest of the day.

Rooney to Argyle official. Locals here aren't too happy about it but I honestly think they might end up pleasently surprised.
-
In fairness, Rooney did incredibly well at Derby. Granted they were relegated but at the start of the season, bookies wern't even taking bets on them staying up. The fact he took them to within 2 games to go with a youth squad, no money and a 21 point deduction is actually quite something. I wouldn't touch him if he fails this time around but I think this could be a very good appointment. Gerrard also has one failure and one success. No idea what he's done in Saudi mind.

Rallying call for anyone in Devon for the weekend or living to pop in to watch the game together. I think they'll be about 3-4 Saints fans at the local but I'd love to get more in and have a bunch of us for such a huge game!
