Why is anyone wanting to sign Broja? He had a decent 2-3 months during the early part of his loan spell with us 3 years ago and since then has done absolutely nothing. He was shocking at Fulham, I didn't even realise he was there until March.

That's the weird thing, not even FM works like that anymore. No idea why people think you just pay a flat fee for a player and then the selling club have the amount to just spend willy nilly.

That did cross my mind but I think you have to take into account their respective levels. Ultimately, they both came "okay" in their 3-4 games after and both players have always reminded me of the other one. Well Holgate has always reminded me of Bennet anyway, Bennett hasn't always reminded me of Holgate.

I remember many years ago where Darren Powell was sent off in a friendly against Bournemouth. He missed the Palace game on the opening day of the season which caused Alan Bennett (no not that one) to have the worst debut I've ever seen in a Saints shirt. I assume Alceraz will be suspended for the opener?

Indeed but he was pretty poor in The Championship and awful at Juve. I can't remember who they played but I watched them toward the end of the season and Juve were 3-0 down and drew 3-3 (just in case anyone wants to pinpoint which game it was). Charley came on as a sub and looked absolutely out of his depth.

There are probably a massive number of keepers that are better than McCarthy. I doubt whether that many of them are 22.
