You're right but this silly myth that we do things "on the cheap" is just lazy. It clearly isn't true.

Please stop this. We have signed several people this window that are not "kids on the cheap". In fact, for all SR's faults, doing things "on the cheap" isn't one of them. They've invested a ridiculous amount of money since taking over. They may be incompetent but they certainly are not stingy.

If Broja hadn't been with us previously and had had that decent 2-3 months with say Palace or Brighton, the suggestions of signing him would be laughed off in an instant.

Exactly that. I'm a Bazunu fan but he is nowhere near ready to be first choice keeper. Probably won't be for at least 2-3 years. That had crossed my mind as being another benefit of Bijlow. Though I guess if he's injured a lot, Baz might play more games anyway. Not saying I'd be actively unhappy with Ramsdale btw.

Just me that would prefer Bijlow to Ramsdale? Ramsdale is renowned for not being able to use his feet properly. If we're going to play this way, may as well go all in. I can imagine Ramsdale's wages being a lot more too even if we're only covering a percentage.

No, I don't think he made any glaring mistakes but I don't think he made any amazing saves either. Basically the opposite of the likes of David James and Kelvin Davis etc who make brilliant saves and then let in back passes.

Couldn't cross, couldn't shoot, couldn't tackle, constantly out of position, slow as anything. But yeah, he won a European Championship. Nathan Dyer won a PL winners medal and a League Cup medal.
