  1. Northampton winning
  2. Ive never quite understood this thinking tbh - finishing 1st in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th tiers is the equivalent to finishing 21st, 45th and 69th in the football league to me, nothing more. Any season in top flight should be regarded more highly than winning a lower league trophy imo, otherwise we effectively handicapped ourselves in our 27 consecutive years etc. Agree on other points though, especially lack of first class trophies - one thing that always annoys me is that skates have more than us and we've underachieved (albeit slightly imo) for a club of our size!
  3. Indeed. I genuinely believe some fans would prefer be in league one playing in stripes than in the prem playing in all red. We started out with a sash ffs!
  4. Ok which of you is typical skate on twitter?
  5. I think it's cardiff who have some very winnable home fixtures left
  6. Presumably that's for both directions
  7. Snes or master system, pap?
  8. Dangerous precedent to set. The moment you deny/comment on one bit of speculation you have to deny/comment on it all otherwise fans will assume it to be true.
  9. Good article, im with him on thinking it all might be a power struggle rather than the family wanting to sell the club
  10. and one swallow doesnt make a summer
  11. Pretty significant imo, clyne not great vs wba and chambers rarely puts foot wrong so maybe poch sees chambers as first choice, for now at least god it's good to be back talking about on the pitch matters!
  12. This. Also good thing to point to when trying to convince players to join the club in the first place
  13. If true that lambert move would be cortese down to a T. Everyone's heart wants him to say, but cortese's head knows £7m is damn good money for a 31-year-old
  14. is that billy sharp shaking rickie's hand in the last photo?
  15. my worst game as a saints fan, thought we lost 2-0 though?
  16. Propaganda. They cut the ones where luke shaw was crying on guly's shoulder
  17. Aside from back-to-back promotions and a surge up the premier league you mean?
  18. Yeah it was seeing it live that first made me appreciate just how good it was. Best live forever performance i saw was wembley 2000 with john lennon/quote montage in background - amazing.
  19. Even digsy's dinner?
  20. Bring it on down for me, very closely followed by live forever. What an album and era for music!
  21. (Except it's skrill)
  22. There is an element of this as well tbf, gk and defender absences contributed to increase in goals conceded as much as loss of vic imo
  23. Cork dilemma will come to a head now: doesn't feature in our best 11 unless him, wanyama and morgan can be accommodated in a tweaked formation but far too good to sell. Must keep if we want squad depth to cope with injury crises as just experienced.
  24. There's a version of that which ranks clubs by total points earned in the top tier across history, which is all that matters imo. Never understood the brighton, reading and skate banter we got for finishing runners up in our league one and championship promotion seasons. In my eyes we finishised 22nd and 46th out of 92 in those seasons respectively, pretty small time to think otherwise! 1st in the second tier is not an achievement!
