  1. Thought exactly the same!
  2. Watford away, the belter was a late free kick to make it 2-2 I believe but can't remember if he got the first goal too
  3. Not bad for gloucester tbh!
  4. I get this all the time too. And the crux of it is these opinions are from neutrals, not so called happy clappers or bedwetters. I sometimes wonder what their reactions would be (especially if they're fans of leeds, sheff weds etc) if we showed them some of the dribble posted on here - every outsider thinks it must be a dream supporting saints atm! I'd say we're c25th biggest club in england atm so finishing any higher than that should be considered success by definition. Just enjoy it, it's only football ffs! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This is shaping up to be my first away game without anyone I know since I started following Saints so thought I'd share my itinerary in case anyone is doing similar! Thurs pre match - arrive Tel Aviv and get Saints coach to Be'er Sheva Thurs post match - somehow get to Jerusalem (either Saints coach back to Tel Aviv and then bus from there or bus straight from Be'er Sheva) Fri - Jerusalem to Bethlehem then back to Tel Aviv for night there Sat - Tel Aviv before fly back late evening I've done very little research and not convinced I'll make it to Jerusalem on Thurs night but life's about adventure etc!

  8. It restricts the movements of employees (ie players) without them having any say. Similar situation concerns restrictive covenants, which are common place in many industries to stop senior staff taking clients with them when they leave. However, if client wants to leave with senior staff and expresses a wish to, there's not a lot any party can do about it
  9. You can get results with and without an eye on the medium/long term (ie academy etc), though - maybe the board felt RK was doing the former? FWIW I think the board had concerns on this but recognised PR disaster if they didn't offer a new contract. New contract was therefore offered but without pulling out all the stops and Everton situation, though not great on ambition/PR front, wasn't entirely unwelcome
  10. maybe he'll turn up in soton saying he told everton to shove their job up their arses (and we'll later find out he failed a medical) (a la david brent)
  11. Amen to that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Agreed - they guy's exceptional on form and better than most give him credit for out of form. Always trying to create. His type of striker should still have two/three years left at top level too.
  13. Perhaps a tad naive? VVD's new contract probably doubled his money but added a £30m+ release clause if superclub comes calling. Beware Suarez and his Liverpool contract extension in December 2013.
  14. Difference is that payet is 29 and West Ham have kept him by giving him a contract where he'll apparently be on 120k+ pw at 34. I doubt any other clubs would've been willing to do that
  15. I believe we also beat 17 of the 19 teams we played (can you name the two we didn't?) and had no one do the double over us (but only did the double over one team - can you name them?)
  16. Anthony Knockaert below us? Looked very good for Brighton every time I've watched them this season (once)
  17. Wall to wall media wasn't about when saints left the dell!
  18. Morgan getting a battering on redcafe Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
  19. Is there an echo in here
  20. but equally fraiser had a better defence in front of him kelv for me
  21. My thoughts too!
  22. is the xi ryan bertrand is lining up with tonight better or worse than the xi he lined up with vs sunderland on saturday?
  23. I thought that practice was widespread - certainly not unusual in the aways I go to
  24. http://www.espnfc.com/club/southampton/376/blog/post/2689353/southampton-vs-bournemouth-is-no-south-coast-clasico agreed
  25. which is about £25m in today's money!
