or sell him and a nobody in a double deal and claim the nobody was responsible for 90% of the fee?happened when derby sold malcolm christie and chris riggott to boro a few years back - they told the authorities that riggott was responsible for 90% of the fee so they could avoid having to pay christie's former club a dell-on fee.think it went to tribunal, not sure what happened there
-
the only sell-on clause involved in kenwyne jones' move to sunderland was the c.£1m we had to pay to the club in trinidad & tobago!
-
i was there.hammond was the best player on the pitch, closey followed by barnard
-
that was meant for an earlier post - haven't quite got the hang of this new look forum yet
-
punch is ten times the player holmes is, or will ever be. and that's a fact
-
ridiculous thread.imagine if we'd have sold beattie just because he had a slow start to the 01/02 season!we'd have lost his goals in 02/03 nevermind 01/02!the whole team's looking flat at the moment, can't expect lambert to lift them all the time
-
how people can get on puncheon's back is beyond me.he takes on full backs (which a lot of ex-saints wingers have hated doing), he scores goals, he makes things happen.in notw team of the week for yest as well.quality player

a theme needs to be decided, as it stands me and my mate are going as batman and robin.. id like to throw my weight behind the volcanic ash idea - that'd be easy (cotton wool sprayed grey) and well funny!
-
disagree "and we've still got wotton on the bench" was better! only a couple of people sung it, the left side massive
-
ive got a st and get to the odd away game as well, ive only seen him not play particularly well against orient; i reckon he's absolute quality - comfortably championship standard. on a (sort of) separate note id still like to keep papa waigo and antonio, still terrified lallana's off this summer!
-
cup semi and final in 2003 for me as well (+ would've preferred beaten the skates this season).still a fantastic day out tho, seeing so many saints in london and actually watching us lift a trophy was absolute quality!nice to see the pardew/cortese embrace as well, lets quit the embarrassing booing/slating of the latter now shall we??
-
im good with that! mods? (see post #26)

mods, can we have sticky for the official saints forum endorsed player songs (after they've been decided on threads such as this one) - it'll give them a bit more exposure and hopefully kill the boring songs where the only lyrics are the player's name!im not a fan of singing "lee baaarnard, lee baarnard" and "adam la-llana,adam la-llana" every game! we've got the (quality) rickie lambert one,now need to decide on ones for barnard, lallana, hammond et al. my personal faves (none of which i thought of myself!): "lee barnard barnard, he scores goals from 30 yards, he's short but he's f*ckin hard, lee barnard barnard" "viva lallana, viva lallana, running down the wing, hear the southampton sing, viva lallana" thoughts?

Is Lambert the top scorer in the country? (league)
saintmatt replied to Andyb1's topic in The Saints
defoe has a better goals to game ratio: he has 11 in 13 compared to lambert's 13 in 18 -
let's p*ss and moan about them then!

"he gets the ball, he doesn't miss"?

i've never understood how he's managed to get job after job in football, especially given rodney marsh's situation...
