  3. IMO it's wrong to say a st holder is a better fan than a non-st holder; I believe a st holder is more likely to be a better fan than a non-st holder, however. On a related note, if I was talking to a Saints fan about tactics/good-performing players/poorly-performing payers etc I'd have more respect their opinion if they were a st holder attending every game than if they hardly ever attended - is this so wrong? Surely, for obvious reasons, their opinion would be informed in they were the former??
  4. i thought he did ok sat tbh (bar the slip)
  5. ha, that was my source! it's where i get all my ITK rumours from! rumbled.
  6. pun intended(ish)
  7. ferrari, you heard it hear first..
  8. Feel sorry? Probably not. Respect? Sometimes yes. I respect the Huddersfield away fans from last season that came all that way on a Tuesday night to see their team get stuffed, for example. I won't respect the man utd "fans" that watch "their" club for the first time in years at St Mary's cos they have Soton connections/mates that can get them tickets in the home end.* In fact, I'll hate them. * I hope nobody's thinking of doing this.
  9. is there a radio stream anywhere on internet??
  10. +1, im so glad someone made this point - i have absolute top respect for the old guys and girls that still follow saints and am sure ill be doind exactly the same thing when im their age. if JRM lets me of course...
  11. this game is MASSIVE; we've GOT to keep this run going!!
  12. will definitely banter them about our debt-free situation vs their debt situation

  15. seaborne is massively underrated
  16. all we need to do this window is offer lallana £10k/week and a £1m signing on fee - all parties should be happy with that deal (from our perspective - would you be happy signing a player of lallana's quality for £1m?? absofruitly!!)
  17. rickie you beaut!!!
  18. spot on. people are too obsessed with what "looks cool" - he's a cult hero in our part of block 41!
  19. stumbled on these quizzes the other day... can you name all saints players 2000-2009? http://www.sporcle.com/games/Resistance/southampton0009 can you name the top 31 saints premier league goalscorers? http://www.sporcle.com/games/BicycleStipe/Southampton
  20. this one cropped on here a few months back: he's alex oxlade-chamberlain, his name is too long to fit in a song, but we will try to fit it in, cos he's alex oxlade-chamberlain i thought it was pretty good, but it's never caught on. also, for lallana (stolen from man utd/ronaldo song) adam lallana, adam lallana, running down the wing, hear the southampton sing, adam lallana
  21. stuart dennis is unsackable - the guy's a legend! nothing compares to his dance moves during rickie's song!
  22. quite a few dressed up for forest away (last away game before we were relegated from championship) - very good away atmosphere given the circumstances!
  23. As I understand it, we broke no rules when SLH went into admin. The reason we ended up with -10 is because the FL refused to sanction the Liebherr takeover unless we signed an agreement not to appeal the deduction (an appeal the FL (correctly) feared we'd win). The rules were only changed post SLH slipping into admin, weren't they?
  24. terrible, you're never gonna make a name for yourself on here with posts like that
  25. im not sure wednesday are a contender anyway, think peterborough, huddersfield, and brighton are far more of a concern re automatic spots
