  1. was this a good point in the end?
  2. Ok - thanks! I hadn't appreciated we'd only put him on a short term deal
  3. Is that captured in the rules elsewhere then? I can’t see how someone described as permanent falls within para 1 or 2 of my screenshot Sorry if being thick.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’ve been trying to work out why they’ve not paid out today but doesn’t the below suggest the 10 game rule only applied for ‘interim’, ‘temporary’ or ‘caretaker’ managers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. But would they have bought anywhere near as well in the 4-5 years before then? Let's not forget that club's wanting our players is a glowing endorsement of our recruitment/development and there's very little anyone can do vs player power these days Also I loved Marsden as much as the next guy but the there's some serious rose-tinting going on here and beyond this thread - "could do with someone like that now"...
  6. James has called me a moron
  7. need to take some of the blame Thoughts?
  8. Agree with both of these. Never been more ashamed to be a Saints fan than when the Northam booed Puel on lap of appreciation last season.
  9. From comments section of BBC website: Seems that no matter how poor Hart plays, he gets the nod over better form players. Forster has been playing very well and has arguably been the best English keeper in recent seasons - only for the big club player to keep getting the game time. As for the rest of the squad, aside from a goal last week in a rout, what has Delph done to merit his place exactly? Simple. Big club. Just goes to show the false benchmarks fans tend to judge their team's players against. And on a related note, every club thinks their own club takes ages to tie up transfers, is bad at corners etc. The reality is that they only think that way because they're far more invested in their own club's activity, ie they're aware of transfer rumours earlier (so they seem to drag out longer) and watch more of their own club's corners so see more "failures"
  10. We're almost certainly squarely within the average range. Every fan thinks their own club is bad at corners. Just like every club thinks their own club takes ages to tie up transfers. They only think that way because they're far more invested in their own club's activity, ie they're aware of transfer rumours earlier (so they seem to drag out longer) and watch more of their own club's corners so see more "failures"

    Cortese

In hindsight, given what a fantastic journey it was, do you think you may have overreacted a bit on occasion?

    Cortese

Care to respond Alpine? How do you marry up your meltdowns under Cortese and during our rise through the leagues with what you're saying now?
  13. Can I just ask, does the forum want me to keep posting too?
  14. Make him beg. Then say no.
  15. agreed
  16. agreed
  17. Can we not refresh banner entirely? Same players, just (where available) use pics of them celebrating goals - they all look knackered!
  18. Yep agree, Liebherrs have been absolutely fantastic for us
  19. Most will always think the next appointment is the most important Imo it was more important to get the Koeman one right given the poch/cortese/player exodus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Giggs with an old head like Neil Warnock steering him in right direction would be the dream team
  21. I'd pay off some of kat's loan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Does anyone know if the figures in brackets are just televised PL games or also include televised domestic cups games too? Mad if the former, only 9 of Liverpool's 38 matches weren't live on TV last season?!
  23. I was abroad for many of the meltdowns this season and every person I spoke to, when they found out I was a saints fan, would say how much us lot must be loving it all right now Sadly I had to say that wasn't quite the case Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
