Big game / season this for JWP - could he become properly influential in games or be meh like he often has been. Hojberg is IMO different class so JWP at least has a chance to showcase his talent

Not a fan of the diamond myself - its very easy to defend against it - away teams will sit in and defend deep to negate the pace we have I'm also not sure it suits our players, far better in the 4-2-3-1 with Hojberg/Romeu as the 2, Tadic, Davis and Redmond as the 3 and Long up top. Plenty of options on the bench there as well We will see but i can sat being a bore fest of them sitting in and us not being able to break them down ...

I would think it would be very very unlikely MS will come back here, Everton , Wet Sham or Poch @ Spurs will pay him 100k+ a week

Plus say 11m for Pelle, a fully fit Jay Road and Austin , and players like Cedric who will come back better from the Euros

Agree with this, if everyone (including the board) were that concerned about him why was he offered the highest paid managerial job in our history? Sound like there is some truth in this but also some bu**s**t. Players in all clubs wont get on with certain managers

Im not as upset about this as i thought i'd be, if we keep the strength in the dressing room with guys like Fonte, FF, VVD and Steven Davis we'll be fine. Hang on to Tadic (who might be happy with this by the sounds of it), Mane and Long, get J-Rod a full pre season and bring a couple of new players in. One thing i was never convinced about Ron was his reluctance to bring in academy players. We know that's the clubs philosophy. Reed as an example should have got more time, as should Stephens and maybe even the likes of Hesketh, Isgrove and Sam Gallagher I'd be happy with any of Pellegrini, Emery or De Boer or even a left field appointment like Neville
