I think you either create a euro super league and then get a much more competitive EPL or you put in a salary cap like NFL, Rugby etc Otherwise the 'product' just continues to decline

This Just dull now, money has killed it, not just in EPL but across Europe Chairman hire managers to get 40 points to stay up to keep the money rolling in - 10 0-0 draws and 10 1-0 wins would delight 75% of the chairman in the PL boring

Said this before but McGinn at Hibs is going to be a very good player at mid table prem level - similar to what Schneiderlin used to be for us

People seem to be ignoring Bednarek - he looks a far better prospect to than Hoedt or Stephens , so i'd keep him in a back 4 or 5 but get 2 new CB's to play with him

he is a country mile better than Hoedt and Stephens

The whole thing needs a clear out, the effort/atmosphere/general mix of players hasnt worked so just keeping it and putting kids in isnt going to fix anything Definitely need a dominant centre back, a leader on and off the pitch. Like Fonte was. A new right back and look at getting an energetic box to box midfielder who can score (McGinn from Hibs would be perfect). Thats just for starters

Agree and Hoedt isnt much better. Stephens as a RB may be better because as a 6'3 CB he cant head a ball for toffee

Thats very realistic in my book, add in a new CB, Hojberg, another good young CM (McGinn at Hibs for example), Redmond and Mcqueen and thats a decent champ XI. Plus we weed out all the high wage crap who have to go whether we stay up or not (Tadic, Boufal, Carillo, Gabbiadini, Cedric, Lemina, Forster etc)

John McGinn at Hibs would be an excellent buy, young, international, high work rate, good passer. Get him for 5-6m
