There is also the matter of an appeal against the 10 point deduction, if they have done their home work ie consulting a barrister as I think has been mentioned on here not too long ago then I'm even more positive. So far so good - just got to complete now. Given that things seem now to be moving forward I'd have a wager (if I was a betting man) that it will be concluded within 14 days - it will benefit both parties, the creditors get their dosh and the new owners can start implementing the plans (both on and off the field). After all there's a small matter of selling season tickets etc. Well done Mr Lynam - if you pull this off your welcome to a beer or three anytime I see you (not that I would recognise you from Adam).

Totally agree Alps - but what can be done? From where I'm sat a big fat zero. Which is the most frustrating thing, as I've said before the minus 10 points could turn into double that if the preperations are not done - this is one season when we do not want to start on the back foot - that will happen if things don't get going quickly. The problem is the process (due inthe main to legal stuff IMHO) is just to slow given the sands of time are running out.

But it was never going to be a quick deal was it - these things take time Alps. I think even the Chelsea deal took months and that was with one of the richest men on the planet. My guess is it will go to the wire - not good for us the fans or the club in general as we need to be planning for the season to come - not handcuffed by admin rules. The 10 point penalty is bad enough but you can put another 10 on that for poor preperation.
