I pray for the day we have a true ball playing mid fielder - you know, one that can thread a 15 yard pass through a defence and do it consistently. I genuinely thought that Schneiderlin was going to be that man but he seems to sit too deep and has one pass and one pass only - a 45 yard diagonal one. Real pity.

Agree with you Alps - but what would you do if you were Adkins? Me I'd drop him and send him on a short holiday to "think" about his contribution. Only problems there are a) his first reaction and b) who to pick in his place.

I think some on here need to live in the real world - Saints (or any team come to that) will not win every game they play - its a fact of (footballing) life I'm afraid. We were out done on Sat by a very industrious team that had the footballing gods on their side - we on the other hand couldn't convert our chances - end of really.

This - I'd be more worried if we were not creating chances to be honest. The (over) reaction to this one game beggars beleif to be honest. All of a sudden the Manager and team are being called into question by some on here. More than half a season to go and 5 points adrift of an auto promotion place. We had key players out and some that did play didn't perform.

Essruu - not sure what point you are trying to make TBH. Only that they are scousers living away from the NW. Not an unusual scenario that one - just go to B'mth there were loads of mickey mousers living there. As to my post I was just asking where this "rumour" had come from? I got the answer ie it was made up as a possible reason - the scenario given is plausible if not true.

The problem is the lure of playing for one of the big clubs in the prem or further afield. If that wasn't an issue then I could see it working - as it has in the past for Man U.
