The Barcelona team of a couple of years ago had in the main players that had been playing years together. The team gets refreshed as and when required. It's a long term policy which seems to work for them. IMHO the greatest teams always have continuity and that's not just managers.

If you re read the article the part about the two deals is not a direct quote from MP, its made to look like it but the way I read it was that was the view of the interviewer.

That to me was the beginning of the changes for me. Just not the same with the semi's being there and the final. Then its the change in time and not having the choice of channels to watch it on. All diminishes it a bit for me.
