  1. Why is it that the only people who ever mention the class thing are the Lowe Luvvies, or Lowe's offspring as in you Scooby. I don't think anyone else ever mentions the class thing. What class is Lowe anyway, he is certainly not "upper class" if such thing still exists outside of the royal family circles? He is new money middle class I guess. But who gives a **** what class he is. Fact is he is an obnoxious, pompous idiot who is a failure when it comes to the financial side of runnig a football club, and who makes many bad decisions that have contributed to where we are now (he also makes some good decisions to be fair). I do hate Lowe for what he has done to this Club in the past, and to respond to Buctootim, who says I have not met him? In any case why do you have to meet someone to know you dislike them, I never met Attila the Hun, but I know he was quite an unpleasant chap, likewise Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Mugabe and Margaret Thatcher. I clearly don't put these people in the same league as Lowe and don't equate what they did with what a second rate plc chairman does, but I do loathe the fact that he is still connected with this Club. But then again my dislike of Wilde is much stronger even than that of Lowe. And I don't like Crouch much either. I do however have a healthy respect for Andrew Cowen, and I am beginning to warm to Jan Poortvliet.
  2. Completely indifferent to Derby. I think hating teams is a bit silly. I don't really even hate Pompey, though the local rivalry thing can be a good laugh. When I was younger I used to hate Forest, because they always seemed to be our bogey team (2 Wembley appearances plus many other bitter results) so maybe I should support Derby as they are Forest's main rivals.
  3. JP on the OS gives all the right reasons for keeping basically the same team, its all about confidence and getting to know how they play together. Apart from Killer (who he confirms cannot play 3 games a wekk yet), he seems to suggest no other changes, although elsewhere it seems Bart is confirmed in goal. Thank goodness we have someone who knows what he is doing, rather than the prat Burley, who would have changed half the team.
  4. 4 on target, 2 off target actually. More than Reading and Burnley, same number as Palace, Sheff Utd, Watford, Preston & Ipswich. Actually not bad for an away team. I think some people are actually forgetting we played away on Saturday, at a place where not many teams will get a result.
  5. Actually he signed a 4 year deal http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10251
  6. It was a lot less than £1.5m. It could rise eventually to 1.5m EUROS (which at today's rate is about £1.17m). Its quite possible than Spiderman will be sold at some point, especially if he does well. There is nothing wrong with investing with an eye to a future profit.
  7. Killer is deffo not playing tomorrow, he stated that on Radio Hants in the 3rd Half on Saturday. I would think that was always the plan, its one thing playing 90 minutes, but to do it again 72 hours later for a rather meaningless cup match would be foolish in the extreme. Other thn Killer JP should keep the same team. What we need is consistent selections, unlike the continual tinkering of Burley. He should play his best available team and use this game as another step to getting them to know each other's game.
  8. Alpine, listenting to Killer on Radio Hants after the game, he seemed to be indicating that he was just knackered and that his kneww was just sore as expected. It would seem that he was never planned to be part of the team for Exeter, I would think it is just too early to play twice a week as yet. Although I have fears too that he may not last, I think you are reading too much into this at the moment, I am reasonably confident that this is just sensible precautionary measures and normal soreness after such a long time out. My bigger fear is Andrew Davies, although the OS says he is about to resume training it does seem odd that this planned op seems to have taken longer to be completed than was expected, and it would seem unlikely we will see him playing until well into September at best.
  9. Wouldn't worry too much about this. It seems like Killer was always going to be rested for the Exeter game, so will only miss training today. I suspect he will not play 2 games in less than a week until September or so.
  10. Personally hope we get more for being tough and committed, less for dissent. Our booking count over the last 2 seasons has been very low, look at Jermaine Wright, was he ever booked? Lack of bookings tends to indicate a lack of commitment, as long as it doesn't go too far the other way and we become a team of cloggers (highly unlikely). Should be able to cut down on our dissent bookings as Safri has gone.
  11. What a total **** of a post. Ask Killer if it was KD's fault. Killer stated categorically on the radio that it was completely his fault for losing his marker. So will you slag of Killer? Really wonder whether we need supporters like you.
  12. My God, there is some crap being written on here by some folks with no sense of reality. OK, we lost 2-1 with a goal at the death, after we came from behind to equalise before half-time. For periods we were in control, FFS how many thought we would do that well. First half we had 5 corners, McG gets his first goal. There are 45 games to go, no-one seriously thought we would get a win at Cardiff, I predicted 1-1 and was so nearly right. 32% posession sounds bad, but actually its not bad for an away team, and anyway its what yo do with the possession that counts. As previous poster mentioned in the Jones interview, Killer and McG confirmed on Radio Hants that the ball crossed the line, it was the throw-in that was in dispute. Killer also held his hands up to being at fault for the goal, as he lost his marker. Also stated he was knackered. What a great man, nice to hear someone so obviously upset and hurting about a loss (as was McG). What we need now is a morale-boosting win against The Grecians on Tuesday (without Killer) and we will be up for it against Brum. Just hope that JP doesn't make wholesale changes for Tuesday, the team needs to get to know each other and how to play and how to win or lose as a unit. OK, so rest Killer, but don't change anything else please. Well done lads, despite my summer of negativity I think we will be OK once we get a win under our belt, we are not as bad as some of the whingers on here would like to believe.
  13. Why? Sky aren't neutral, and the commentary is from Radio Hampshire not from the OS. Unless Cope and Armstrong are blatantly lying (Cope might be but I trust Armstrong), its clear that we were well in control early on, then Cardiff came into it, and then we both scored. 5 corners for us would prove to me that we are not completely under the cosh.
  14. Maybe it has been addressed, concede and then hit back, that would never have happened under BUrley
  15. McG from Surman. Well done boys
  16. When its a minute or two before half-time its usually down to mental fatigue, which happens when you are not fully fit (in other words when coached by Burley). Not sure I would consider 6 or 7 minutes before half-time as being the same thing, perhaps it was just that Cardiff found an opening.
  17. Dave Armstrong reckons we were in control in the first 20 minutes or so, we've also had 5 corners. Sounds like they've come back into it. Bugger, Cardiff score
  18. Might be, then again might not be
  19. Its easy to pass to your own players when you have got rid of the dross Burley.
  20. Sounds like Will Can't Cope and David Armstrong to me
  21. None
  22. If this was true, and I guess its probably a reasonable guess, this would be £3.9M per annum. With all of the loanees off the wage bill as well we must have saved about £5m in total. OK we need to add Schneiderlin, Svensson, Wotton, Holmes & Perry, and I would guess that some of the youngsters may have received a pay rise, still thats not a bad saving given the dross that has gone.
  23. Who are C Parry and J Safri ? Incidentally, has Safri actually gone now?
  24. Whereas Alpine and others, me included, were derided because we just thought he was ********. Looks like most people now seem to agree with us, unlike when he was actually here.
  25. Would take a point today, I predict 1-1
