  1. Its about bloody time that Lowe was faced with someone with passion and shares giving him a verbal bashing. I am not a great admirer of Crouch, but without him quite honestly there would be no-one prepared to say boo to the goose (or duck). Its quite clear now why Wilde did not attend, because he knew that Crouch would run riot with him in the room. For all those that say this is childish, you are just so completely wrong. This is the whole point of having an AGM, it is the one legitimate opportunity for the shareholders to let the Board know exactly how they feel. I accept it will make little difference, but these things need to be said and Lowe needs to understand the depth of feeling against him. I wish I had gone now, instead of simply proxying my vote, I guess my 56 votes aginst Lowe and Wilde being elected will not tip the balance, but I have at least registered my protest legitimately and in a way that Lowe may understand. Well done Leon
  2. What you say is true with regard to the gate receipts, but there will be significant additional income generated from the extra 17 or 18000 people buying pints, pies and programmes, not to mention extra sales in the store. We also get 2/6d from Sultana for the TV coverage
  3. Given we've only got 14000 supporters these days, and we are a bit short of the old greenbacks, maybe we should be welcoming them with open arms. Must admit I am very surprised the game is sold out, but then if 17000 are plastic Mancs then I suppose it is not so surprising after all. All these plastics going along to watch their darlings from Sky, it would be great if Fergie plays the reserves instead, and rests Ronaldo, Thugfeatures, Ferdinand, Giggs, etc. That said still likely that they could murder us, 32000+ seeing what a third rate coach can do for a team. Still I maintain this weird hunch that we will sneak a draw or better, no logical reason to suppose this will happen, but "its a funny old game"
  4. Neither. He is just a 3rd rate Dutch coach who is so far out of his depth that it is embarrassing. Nice bloke, wrong man for the job, but filling his boots given his one chance of glory
  5. Not sure how to break this to you, but Pulis is not a loan, he's ours for keeps
  6. Almost certainly. If the option is to stick with what we have or try someone else who knows the English game better then the gamble has to be taken. Simple really. Stick with what we have and go down, or gamble and hope that we stay up.
  7. Keep taking the medication
  8. It would be craziest result, but you can just see it happening, then all the press will laud Lowe and his vision, and won't notice us being relegated to League 1 after we lose to Histon [insert name of appropriate lowest ranked team] in the 4th Round.
  9. He will be thinking, this style of football is attractive and exciting to watch, we have 27000 at the ground yesterday so the customers must like it, and all the teams that come here say how much they enjoy playing against us and what a wonderful advert we are for the development of young players and good football. Thats the problem, clueless.
  10. Rasiak is on a season-long loan at Watford who have option to buy. He will not be back this season at least, and probably will never be seen in a Saints shirt again. Would rather have John and Saga anyway.
  11. As well as that, shares owned by institutions such as banks or pension funds, will always vote for the status quo. I won't be attending the AGM but have voted against Lowe and Wilde being re-elected.
  12. Bit unfair on Nick Holmes isn't it?
  13. Any chance that we can do the same with Jan today? I'm not sure Gary Mc is the right man, he hasn't really shown he has what it takes so far, but the the same was said of WGS, and Gordie might put in a word for Gary to his old buddy Lowe. Of those mentioned my preference would be Tisdale, but can't see why he would leave Exeter to join us at the moment. Steve Cotterill is still out of a job I believe, thought he was the right man before Leon appointed Pearson, with Pearson unavailable Cotterill is probably one of the best candidates around. Knowing Lowe though he would appoint Hockaday, though to be fair he could not be any worse than Jan Nice but Dim Poortvliet, could he?
  14. To the first part yes, but then again we could empoy someone else for the same amount of money as JP, we all know now that he wasn't as cheap as we were lead to believe. What we would have to pay for a proper manager would be peanuts compared to what we will lose by continuing with the current one To the second part, no. There is no need to buy players, proper managers will get the current players playing better. All we need to do this season is to find someone who will keep us in the CCC. Its only bad team managers that have to spend money, just ask Arry.
  15. No it wouldn't. If we still had the muppet in charge (JP) then 5m or 50m would make no difference. Its no lack of money thats the problem, its the manager who doesn't know what he is doing that is the problem. With the players we have we should be lower mid-table.
  16. Totally agree. Wilde holds the key and has to act to remove Lowe and JP, after all he is the Football Chairman. Trouble is I don't hold out much hope. The man is a spineless, gutless, two-faced ******.
  17. Total football, my arse. There has been no evidence of total football this season. I don't think some people actually know what total football is, Lowe certainly doesn't and JP doesn't either. What we actually play is Total ****e.
  18. The point is that it would make Pearon better than Jan. Right now, I'd probably take Holloway, though I dislike him, he would at least have our players playing with heart and pride and in a system that suited their play.
  19. I think we will win
  20. And they are. We should be lower mid-table with the players we have, but we are not. We are 1 point off the relegation zone with 1 win at home all season looking relegation and administrtaion squarely in the face. Do you think JP would have Leicester top of the table even with the players and funds that Milan has? Would probably be just above the relegation zone, but playing pretty, exciting football (come to think of it Milan would have had the balls to show him the door long before now)
  21. Question is though, would Hockaday be any worse than JP? It would be difficult to imagine.
  22. Think you'll find roles will be reversed next season unless something dramatic is done to change things around.
  23. As will relegation to League 1
  24. Thought he was on a season long loan
  25. LOL at discussion about Lupoli joining Saints, rather than a Prem League or Bundesliga team Its nioce to dream but reality check is needed here.
