We would be docked points (not necessarily 3) for not being able to fulfill a fixture. The players would not get paid and would be fined 2 weeks wages by SFC which could be used to pay the fine that would also be imposed. We could also be liable for paying any costs incurred for the opposition. Not too good an idea really...

How many home games will we have won by the end of the season?

Then don't go to any more games, perhaps its you and adrian that are putting the hex on the boysh -
Agreed, Ali Dia clearly had more experience playing football than this guy has as a Director of Football, that was a bit of an insult to Ali (where is he now that his club needs him?). Do you really think that someone experienced as a DoF in any sort of professional football league around the world would not show up in extensive google searches. The google world is far reaching and deep, it is almost impossible to escape its clutches.

I would think it will be 1 or more, though with the current plonker in charge, 1 would probably be the best bet. -
What WGS gave us was one of the fittest teams in the PL, and a team that was built around small units of 2 players that complemented each other and helped to make a cohesive whole. Since WGS left we have never had a team of fit players. WGS was average in the transfer market, but one has to remember that all his transfers had the hand of Lowe in them, so who knows what he would have done with a proper chairman working with him. Even though we know now that Niemi wasn't WGS's choice, who is to say that his choice (can't recall the name of the keeper from Croatia I think) wouldn't have turned out even better, after all Niemi's career never really fully recovered after his injury in the Cup Final. However, in my mind WGS is up there with the best, I would give my right arm to have him back now.

Little Bobby Stokes at Wembley in 76, still does it for me. Nothing will ever compare to that moment. In more recent times Kamara v Norwich meant so much on the day, but ultimately did not save us.

Why is it just lowe at fault? Its not, Wilde is as much to blame, for giving Lowe the opportunity to get back in, without Wilde's shareholding Lowe would not be in charge today

Demonstration for Swansea game- Time and place!!

Please lets not forget Wilde as well. He is the architect of the problem, and has the means to bring an end to this issue. He is also less stubborn than old rosey cheeks and so should be a more worthwhile target of the protest. So Wilde out, Lowe out and Poortvliet out -
Charlton will be doing it more quickly than us. Will they be the first team to be relegated while still receiving parachute payements from the Premier League?
-
Its bad enough going to watch them play, can you imagine having to watch them train as well
-
Getting rid of Lowe is vital to avoid administration, not to mention relegation. Lowe staying will ensure both happen as sure as eggs is eggs. The cost of changing personnel is peanuts compared to the cost of relegation/admin
-
You mean when we finished 6th and lost in the play-off semi-final on penalties. When we had a decent assistant manager who made our mamager look good temporarily. And of course we now have the man as Chairman of the Football Club who ousted Lowe the first time and caused many, if not all of the financial problems (i.e. the ones that Lowe did not cause).
-
So when the two teams below us have played their 2 and 3 games in hand respectively will his post still be mostly crap. is finishing 3rd in a league of 10 that includes Lewes really acceptable? The results of reserve matches only don't matter when we lose. Winning consistently breeds a winning mentality at whatever level. This was a strong reserve side agains a Division 3 reserve side, we should have won, but we didn't because the pitch was a bit bumpy.

Its only the transfer window that close end Jan, the loan window is still available, and was used successfully last season by NP to bring in Perry and Lucketti. Who is to say that Lowe does not have an alternative plan in place (Hoddle?). A contract till the end of the season for someone does not necessarily have to be that expensive, especially if couple with a bonus for avoiding relegation, and the cost would be nothing compared to the reduction in revenue that would come with relegation to Division 3. Also, you should not assume that the squad are monkeys, I strongly believe that with a manager who knows what he is doing this squad boosted by a couple of experienced loanees could keep us up.
-
Hence the negativity. Admire your optimism, but we have won 1 home game all season. Why do you think Jan will get his act together now, when he has had all season to do so and failed. We are doomed.
-
Agreed, the Dutch duo are bereft of tactical ability. But what the heck we play an exciting brand of football that will make us the envy of every club up and down the country.
-
Can't see how you can judge anyone as being utter ****e in a 17 minute appearance. His goal was glorious and was the reason Arry brought him on when he replaced Le Saux. Any player that can make his mark in 17 minutes as he did deserves better than being called "utter ****e". For a few brief days the man gave us hope, I would give my right arm for him or his like now.
-
Are you sure, if it was Ottery, wouldn't it have been the Lavvy Hilly Mobby?
-
Thank God someone remembered, far and away the best loan that we ever had, even if it was Saggy Chops who brought him in. He may have been inconsistent but his performance against Norwich was outstanding and made me think we had avoided relegation.
-
UP, I think you have his name slightly wrong, try changing round the first letters of his first and last names and I think we have our man. He would fit in perfectly with the others at the Club. The new advisor by the way, the woman in the pictures, is Madonna. Following on from our previous experiments Madge is local (although she may have moved out following her recent divorce) and is well qualified to help run a football club, just like our Chariman.
-
You can fire people for gross incompetence, wouldn't be difficult to prove in this case. Wouldn't cost a penny. Anyway as we all know JP is paid peanuts thats why he was soooo much a better option than NP, so it wouldn't cost much to get rid. Whatever it would cost will pale into insignificance to the cost of relegation to Division 3.

Don't mean to be pedantic and I know where Iain Dowie was born (Hertfordshire) but from a football persective, he represented Northern Ireland.

Just shows what an excellent assistant Glyn Snodin was

Does the Saints Truss still exist? Or is NI now the Saints Truss? Sadly an organisation that should have been successful has been hijacked by the usual crew and has therefore become a meaningless sideshow.

As a supporter it is far better to accept the inevitable. The inevitable will happen unless something changes (something being manager and chairman). If that happens then you can hope, if not then there is no hope. It won't make it any easier when it happens but it will stop a lot of fretting between now and May. If by some miracle JP suddenly learns about tactics and where to play players and we win some home games then nothing lost.
