  1. The report says he was carried off during a regular training session. The picture is obviously nothing to do with the report, as it is blindingly obvious that it is during a match, the clues would be the referee or assistant whichever and the St Johns Ambulance staff - you don't usually get refs and St Johns at traiing sessions. HTH.
  2. Well if it was only because of 20 quid, why didn't the arrogant tosser let us know. We could have had a whip round. Bloody hell, another 20 we might have had John as well...
  3. Look up his record and you will find out. One small success (QPR) after he helped get them relegated, nothing else. Relegated Leicester to add to his brilliant CV. Tha man is a clown, an embarrassment to football, and a two-time failure, that about sums him up. No trophies, 2 relegations, 1 promotion and a play-off final loser. The man is a loser. Always will be.
  4. Bit like Holloway then. Some people think Holloway would be great yet he is a total and complete failure, with only one small success to his credit, and is a clown to boot. Too a degree I agree that Adams is not exatly what we need. Would prefer Cotterill.
  5. Attempt at homour from the person who thinks being called fartpants is funny. Pathetic really. Lets see if Wotte saves us from relegation at the end of the season like Pearson actually did. If he does all credit to him.
  6. Great result today, good performance by the sound of things. Deliberately didn't listen, only caught up at half-time. Credit Wotte, who made plenty of enemies this week among supporters, he does at least seem to have changed things drastically from Nice But Dim. At least I can have a happy weekend. BUT, bottom line is we are still 23rd. The proof of the pudding will be on what follows. 3 points at home is what we should be expecting, fact is only 2nd home win all season. Well done Mr Wotte, perhaps if you had kept your mouth shut before the game, things would be even better tonight.
  7. No-one wants Administration, not even Alps. However, it is clear that we have been or are very close to it, this is not hearsay, it has come from the Board themselves - therefore many are resigned to the fact that it will occur. That is very different to wanting it. The worst case scenario though is that Lowe who is a complete failure in every respect with running this organisation (not the so-called succesful businessman that a small minority on here would like us to believe), will even mess up that decision. To make things even worse the possibility that he may still be involved after Administration in some form sends shivers down the spine. Administration is as far as I can tell, almost inevitable, like relegation, the only small silver lining behind this cloud is that the rather large nut will not longer be allowed to make things even worse.
  8. Interesting, thanks Nick. My only comment on that would be that Saeijs has less experience of the previous nice but dim coach than anyone else in the squad. Good to hear though, sounds like Wotte is at least more able and experienced as a coach than JP, though frankly that would not be too difficult. I don't doubt that Wotte is taking things more seriously than JP, and has better ideas about how to achieve some success (his CV alone would give you that impression), but do feel that he is seriously lacking in understanding the politics of football, and particularly Saints, and would be well advised to keep his own counsel and not alienate a significant number of customers, sorry supporters as he seems intent on doing. Thats a significant differenc between Wotte and Pearson, getting back to the original point of the thread.
  9. Thought about ignoring your post, as clearly you have problems reading or understanding other people's straightforward questions, but on reflection thought I would anyway. I never said anywhere whether it was right or wrong, or whether I agreed or not, I was simply asking a perfectly reasonable question, and Dibden came back with a sensible reply indicating that there was no evidence. If you don't have anything sensible to contribute to a debate may I humbly suggest you shut the **** up!! However, to come back to the point I think you were trying to make in your garbled bile-filled message, yes football team managers should and do have a responsibility for the behaviour of their players, and a true disciplinarian would not allow the players to be seen "out on the lash", especially in troubled times. Not to say it wouldn't still be tolerated, but would be kept discrete.
  10. Thanks Dibden, nice to get a sensible response rather than the crap spouted by Thedelldays. A disciplinarian would cover not just the activities at the training ground but also how the players behave.
  11. What evidence is there that Wotte is a disciplinarian? Were we not all debating recently the players being out on the lash etc etc. Serious question, I have seen nothing that has given any indication that this is something associated with Wotte, I'd like to know what I have missed.
  12. Silly question. No-one wants us to go into Admin (unless they are a Skate). Fact is we are close to Administration because of the fact that we are run by an unsuccessful business man, supported by a failed property developer who also appointed a bunch of crooks to run the club when the previous crook was booted out. No-one wants Wotte to fail, but his showing so far is not really showing much encouragement is it. How many wins so far since he stepped up? People who think supoprters want failure are just plain daft. People who cannot see that the damage already done is verging on the terminal are wearing rose-tinted spectacles. Of course a 5 point gap could be closed, but based on form so far the likelihood is that it will not. Our best hope was to replace JP with someone who had some ideas, but instead we replaced him with someone who was not considered better than Jan in the first place. I still maintain that the group of players we have (possibly including those loaned out) were good enough in the right inexpensive hands for mid-table obscurity.
  13. And if won the game in hand........we would still be behind Forest barring a set of fluke results. Our goal difference is 9 worse than Forest, so effectively we would still be 4 points behind. Apart from the embarrassment of only 1 home win all season, it is also of critical concern that we have only won by 2 clear goals twice, and only scored 3 times in 1 game once all season. The chances of us improving our goal difference significantly is very low. That said we will probably win 6-0 tomorrow
  14. Totally agree, Wotte has been as integral a part of what has happened this season as JP. So far he has not even delivered what JP did, still a home win tomorrow would at least bring him level with Nice but Dim in terms of home wns I suppose.
  15. Wotte was initially appointed as Academy Director and to assist Jan. To quote Wotte himself on the day he was appointed (see Archive if you do not believe me): "My role is to assist Jan and give guidance to the Academy and to produce players for the Championship and ultimately the Premier league." So actually he had 3 roles, none of which included coaching by the way. (1) Assisting Jan (the first team coach), (2) giving guidance to the Academy and (3) producing players (presumably including finding players from outside, not just within the Academy) His role was never initially to coach the youth or reserves, no mention of coaching when he was appointed. Because of other issues he ended up taking on that role, but clearly he was originally appointed as part of the golden due to be part of the team running the first team and also guiding the Academy.
  16. Reading the article, Charlton blame the club showing too much ambition (overspending on crap players when Dowie was manager), whereas we blame the club for not showing enough ambition (not pushng on after Cardiff) and many would welcome Dowie in place of Mark Twotte. Very different scenarios, same outcome. Further difference is that they will bounce back next season, whereas we won't unless things change dramatically.
  17. It will happen whether or not we win tomorrow
  18. The double article on the OS (two articles both saying the same thing) really winds me up. Who the hell does Wotte think he is. Patronising Dutch git with not one iota of sense of what this Club is all about. How dare he dismiss this march as something by a few kids. So a youngster is taking the lead, well good on him, but its people of all ages and persuasions supporting it. And then to say how so many players have played for this club for so long and do not want to be relegated, well guess what neither do the supporters, many of which have supported the club longer than most of the players have even been alive. There are no long term players at the cub, all are either recent acquisitions (older players and young ones), or loanees or youngsters. It comes to somthing when I suspect Surman is the most experienced outfield player (in terms of first team games for Saints). So Wotte, shut the **** up, get on with your job, and try to learn something about Southampton. Don't try to blame others for your inadequacies. The only others that are to blame are Wilde and Lowe. The sooner this 4th rate coach departs from this club the better. To the marchers tomorrow, good luck. The more pressure we can put on this gang of 3 the better. Sorry I will not be there to add my support, but will be with you in spirit.
  19. Good one St Landrew Inevitably some of the more recent players get in ahead of some of the older players where there is not an absloute legend available, that reflects probably on the make-up of the subscribers to this board. My only gripes (now I'll show my age) are the lack of spaces for Dave Peach (best LB ever) and Phil Boyer who should have at least made the bench. Bridge may be good, but he couldn't hold a candle to Peachey. Ball and Williams also should be together, the sum of the parts was far better than the individuals, both great, but together one of the best midfield pairings ever.
  20. They probably still brag about thumping us in the FA Cup Final 4-1. I don't recall the day personally though...

So when will the plan be known as to how we are going to do well in Division 3? Because we won't with Wotte we've got. FFS we struggle to beat Lewes Reserves with some of our first team
  22. No disrespect to Lewes We clearly struggled to beat their reserves 2-0, and they were even reduced to 10 men for the last 20 minutes. Our coach moaned that it was difficult to break Lewes down because they put men behind the ball. So it would seem that this is the ideal preparation for the CCC, and shows that any team can foil Saints one-dimensional style of play by getting everyone behind the ball, even the reserve team of a team currently bottom of the 5th tier of English football... It may be better if we were playing reserve sides from higher divisions, but quite frankly with the current set up its questionable whether we would have any success, and being bottom of a reserve league is not great preparation either. With the team at our disposal against Lewes we should have won 6-0, but our inept coaches cannot see how dire we really are and think this was a good result and performance.
  23. The OS is great. It was really exciting to read about our Reserves outclassing the mighty Lewes Reserves yesterday. Our new Reserves Manager (at least for this game) was clearly highly impressed with our win but noted that we had a problem scoring goals. Against LEWES FFS. How bad have we become, and how bad is the OS if it is bigging up this game as some sort of awesome performance. Remind me which league Lewes compete in  [Come to think of it I don't know which league they play in]
  24. His record speaks for itself. He is a clown and hopeless manager. So what if he really rooted for us on Sky. What has he actually ever achieved? One promotion.
