The problem was initially reported on the 20th July. I find it incredible that 9 days later people are still receiving incomplete books 8 days before the new season starts. I feel sorry for anybody who's on holiday at the moment and returns next Friday to find they haven't got a ticket for the Leeds game. There will be chaos for anybody trying to sort the problem on match day. It's a good job we've got such a professionally run club now.
-
Surely you should be asking for a £3 handling charge.
-
It is indeed good to know we are such a much more professionally run business now than we ever used to be and all the lay-abouts and wasters that used to work for the club have been replaced. Perhaps we can make reversed call charges to the 12,000 people and generate even more revenue.
-
Might be a ploy to get everybody to visit the stadium to sort it out and collect lots more car parking charges. Or the new special offer buy 23 and lose 8 free
-
I went shopping at Tescos yesterday. Spent 30 minutes getting my groceries and 5 minutes at the checkout and wasn't charged a penny to park
-
Especially as some of those clearing off for the day were clearing off to work at St Mary's Stadium. If I still had room on my front lawn to park another 500 cars I might be a little irked but don't think I would spend £125K getting a ticketing system fitted.
-
But they are hard core supporters (sorry customeres) spending their time supporting the club and have bought club products in the form of a seat on the coach. If the club can't make money from running the coaches they are doing something wrong and persuading people to use other coach companies where they don't have to pay the parking fees isn't going to help.
-
So is moaning about paying 10% extra while buying a £10 ticket for the WBA friendly OK then? Why not charge £10 for parking in order to keep the club solvent. Lowe would have been strung up by his balls for treating the fans as customers to be fleeced at every opportunity
-
This gives the impression that the stadium car park was full of people parking and walking into town. It never was. Whenever I've collected tickets in the past there were a handfull of cars vaguely matching the number of people in the queue in front of me. There are plenty of places to park free closer to town than SMS. This is just another ploy to empty more cash out of loyal supporters pockets and unfortunately most of our uber fans are prepared to drop their trousers every time the club comes up with another nice little earner (surcharge to deter you from booking online or on the phone, slightly cheaper surcharge to prevent you buying on the day, car park charge if you want to buy at any other time). Charging fans £10 to park their cars while suppotrting Saints on the official travel club coaches is disgraceful. I'm sure everybody who is supporting the charges would be very happy if Tesco starts charging for parking while you shop.
-
So how much are you willing to pay for the privilege of collecting something you've purchased for £515 online. Perhaps an additional 10% as a tip, after all it's going to club. I buy stuff on the internet for collect in store at places such as PC World and Argos and they don't rip me off with parking charges on top.

Insane requirements for staggered ST payments

So you've now joined the hard done by brigade you were slagging off on another thread. As you're getting your 9 year olds ticket for nothing and don't have to purchase your ticket by DD stop 'kin whinging http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?30578-Season-Ticket-Prices-Released&p=1060221#post1060221 -
No double standards is this St Marco
-
No the stat that only 1 team in the league has scored less goals than us is another stat that is worth a damn as without a dodgy referee we wouldn't have scored in the last 2 home games and only have 6 points from the last 6 games and be 16th in the form table. Also playing 2 relegation fancied teams in the last 2 games has helped our current form. Let's see if we can manage a shot against Bristol Rovers that isn't 12 yards from goal.

Pardew was criticised after seeing West Ham through their worst run of defeats in over 70 years which included a League Cup defeat to Chesterfield. Although West Ham's new owners stated their support for Pardew, on 11 December 2006, following a 4–0 defeat away at Bolton Wanderers the previous weekend, it was announced that Pardew had been sacked by West Ham. The club statement read "The chairman Mr Eggert Magnússon and the board have been concerned by the performances of recent weeks and feel that it is the right time to make a change in the best interests of the club." From Wikpedia but he was sacked which is normally seen as failure
-
And you were a whiney little ****s who complained about every little thing last season. We are in a crap league playing crap teams and you are are ecstatic with mundane hoofball.
-
What I am saying is quite simple in that St Marco made a global statement exactly a year ago that So we are in the relegation zone and we "are doing well"? Not quite sure how that lodgic works exactly. The whole point of a football club is to play football and to win games. If you dont win games you get relegated. Thus meaning if you are nearer the bottom then the top you have failed. I am questioning how he rates being in the relegation zone last season a failure and being in the relegation zone this season as a success. Have we met his criteria that the whole point of a football club is to play football and to win games NO He stated then that If you dont win games you get relegated. Thus meaning if you are nearer the bottom then the top you have failed. I am using his criteria (which apparently permitted him to be critical last season) to judge the season so far and he accuses me of being negative while he tells all and sundry how well we are doing. Must be that the whole point of a football club has changed because we certainly aint winning any games. We're bound to win one soon (I hope) which will bring out the told you so comments. If you really think we shouldn't beat at least one of the likes of Stockport, Swindon, Colchester, Brentford and Millwall etc. with the million pound players in our squad your sights are set far too low.
-
A proven failure at West ham and Charlton You mean the team that avoided relegation by 20 minutes and was had a bank ovedraft of £6.5M which meant players had to be sent out on loan to save on the ludicrous wage bill (Before you blame Lowe, Crouch had to do the same ) Quite agree we are a league lower have spent a fortune for this league instead of having to rely on kids who had never played before. Absolute rubbish Hudeersfield and Millwall both brought in 7 new players in the summer. And the light of the end of the tunnel now is the hoofball I watched against 10 man Colchester? 5 goals in 7 games despite spending £1M on the leagues top scorer and having 2 Polish internationals available for the start of the season. So we buy older experienced players and have to teach them but you were never going to give the kids from last season a chance to learn Yes the standard of refereeing is abysmal for all teams. To blame our position in the relegation zone on referees is laughable. Can I ask just who you do expect us to beat as you seems to have a reason for every failure? You don't expect us to beat the teams fancied for promotion so that rules out Leeds, Charlton, Huddersfield, MK Dons, Norwich Bristol R, Colchester, Brentford, Southend, Millwall, Brighton and Swindon. So that doesn't leave many teams for us to get remaining required 65 points to abvoid relegation does it?. And no I didn't realise your statement of So we are in the relegation zone and we "are doing well"? Not quite sure how that lodgic works exactly. The whole point of a football club is to play football and to win games. If you dont win games you get relegated. Thus meaning if you are nearer the bottom then the top you have failed. was missing the key statement that this only applies if Rupert Lowe is chairman
-
We might well continue our winless run as well which is much longer than our unbeaten record. We are in the relegation zone now St Marco even without the 10 point deduction. Don't give the crap about not expecting to beat Millwall, Charlton and Huddersfield they are not Man Utd,Arsenal & Chelsea. If we don't expect to beat Millwall, Colchester & Brentford at home then we will be fighting a relegation battle all season as we have to show play off form from now on just to reach mid table. Don't tell me 10 man Colchester, Brentford and Millwall are more dificult than Barnsley,Blackpool and Ipswich were last season especially with our vastly improved team , but somehow 5 points from 21 wasn't good enough for you last season but fills you with great pleasure this.
-
Apart from only scoring 5 goals in 7 games. Goals win matches and against 10 man Colchester we could still be playing now and not have scored. I just hope this Papa is not as overhyped as Rudi Skacel and Jaidi doesn't get injured in his first game otherwise we are relying on the squad which is currently displaying relegation form
-
And nobody has a longer winless run than us. That could be considered more important as we are 4 wins from getting out of the relegation places. That is assuming the teams above us don't pick up any points at all in the meantime.
-
All I've said is that St Marco laid down 12 months ago 2 criteria by which he was allowed to judge failure and not being good enough. We have not met either of HIS criteria this year either but he feels he that others should not be allowed to use the criteria to make a judgement on our start to the season. I can't get my head round whether his criteria have changed or have we still failed. As for strengthening the defence yes we do have better defenders but they are also playing against div 3 strikers not the likes of the CCC strikers we faced last season so I would be really worrried if the defence looked worse.
-
I don't want to open old debates either Phil and totally agree we are heading slowly in the right direction. Hopefully a good win playing football not hoofball against Yeovil will be the kickstart we need but we've been saying that for the last 5 games. I would just like to know why such an opiniated poster as St Marco is now preaching the happy clappy line after his statements from exactly a year ago Originally Posted by St Marco So we are in the relegation zone and we "are doing well"? Considering we now have the divisions leading scorer from last season, current Polish international (was 2) and experience in spades I would expect a better start than we had last season when 50% of our squad had never even started a league game playing a league higher. However St Marco is over the moon with our start and tells us others are only happy when we lose, they enjoy the fact it gives them the chance to once again be negative. Was this not you last season St Marco or are you now on happy pills?
-
Sounds like you've changed your tune from last season St Marco. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=44701#post44701 We are in the relegation zone even without our 10 point deduction and you are telling us we are doing well. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=52682#post52682 How come 5 points from 7 games was not good enough last season but you are ecstatic this season in Div 3 . Double standards
-
Am I not allowed an opinion based on the games I have seen? Or is this rapid improvement just the first 45 minutes yesterday?
-
So having a bunch of kids in the CCC was an advantage to JP. I don't think so but at least they did know how to pass to somebody wearing the same colour shirt which is a big difference to the hoofball I witnessed against 10 men Colchester. Where is this rapid improvement coming from. I have yet to see it. I didn't see todays game where we we were meant to be the best team for 45 minutes but unfortunately the points are awarded after 90 and 5 points from 21 is relegation form even without a -10 point penalty. If only last seasons kids had been given the same freedom from criticism that our vastly experienced squad now enjoys maybe their confidence might have grown and results improved. Can I ask just how long it take s to build a team before I start panicking that we're going to start next season in div 4?
