Lowe started the rot with the ridiculous appointment of Wigley, it's been downhill since. Despite bringing in £40m+ with the sales of Crouch, Walcott, Bale, Jones, Baird, Pele, Niemi, etc etc. we can't afford the basic requirement of any football club - players. Playing one up front is never going to produce more than a goal or so per game, so far, we're averaging 0.62 goals per game at home, and Birmingham are the only so called top team that we've played so far.

In case we've all forgotten, it was that buffoon Lowe that started the demise of this great club with the ridiculous appointment of Wigley back in 2004. He has since bungled his way from one crisis to the next with a smug, arrogant, Rupert knows best attitude. As far back as I can remember, only Reading, Sunderland and arguably West Brom have been promoted by playing football, as opposed to lumping the ball up front for big men chase, the style favoured by Watford, Sheffield United, Stoke, etc. Whichever you lview it, it's not looking good for us is it ?
