The only thing which marred yesterday for me was the idiot somewhere behind me in Itchen block 2 who insisted on shouting "Guly is s**t, rubbish" etc throughout the whole game...

Thought he looked nervous-but it was his debut.

Thought it was a great game today-excellent entertainment. We were really up against it at times and Forest gave it a good go. I was hugely encouraged by the fact that we still found a way to win the game despite the struggle. Sign of a good team with balls.

I must admit at the time I thought it was a 50 50 but we didn't have a great view as it was down t'other end...

Was there a (just) back from the match thread for Barnsley?
Dangerous Albert replied to The9's topic in The Saints
I'm with The9 on this one. Most enjoyable day all round. Passing and movement and overall work rate were excellent. Barnsley crowd were largely silent-I think they were a bit in awe..especially Cork and Lallana. Extremely glad I went !!!!!!!!!!!!! Only mystery was how we only managed the one-but I don't think we had much luck in front of goal.Another day we would have got 5 or 6... -

Dangerous Albert replied to BTW Saint's topic in The Saints
Yes,Kenwood Hall in Sheffield prior to the Blades game in the George Burley era. We were a little surprised how little to players talked to each other. James Beattie turned up at the hotel on Fri evening for a drink with some of his former team mates (he was playing for the Blades next day and had a stinker). Good day on the Sat,won 2-1 I think Rasiak 2
