Impressive high pressing from the team in the first half. All the other results went our way. Things look a lot better this evening!

Yes, but things seem to happen, when he gets on the pitch, and he creates goal-scoring opportunities. The only problem, as you point out, is his inability to get the ball in the net. It's a conundrum.

Ward-Prowse takes excellent corners. And he does so consistently. You say his corners "hardly ever beat the first man". That is complete nonsense. You're confusing him with Paul Telfer.

That was an excellent effort all round. We played up high, rather than sitting deep. We showed initiative and pace going forward--with some impressive breakaways. The team was much better set up today. Only major drawback was failing to score from several sitters. We should have won that by at least a couple of goals.

Excellent effort from everyone today. A lot of incisive through-ball passes. Some good work down the left-wing in the first half. A lot of good, pacey runs from Redmond. The defence looked solid in the first half, but vulnerable in the second. I thought we deserved three points today, but happy that we held on for at least one.

Of course. Any sane fan would want their team in the top division. You want to support a winning team, not watch your team lose all the time. I remember the excitement of finally getting into the First Division, back in 1966. Besides, this year I can now watch every game of the season on TV. From my perspective, things would change dramatically for the worse, if we went down.

Agreed. Great to have him there for free kicks and corners; but, beyond that, having him in the team is a luxury.
