  1. Priceless! I think I should join you. What's worse, I ask you, a forum like this, or Facebook.
  2. Missing chances? OK, for fun, watch this video.

  4. Is there ANYTHING to prove that he won't? Things change. Different team. Different manager. Different tactics. Players improve. I suppose people were annoyed with you writing him off based on "the book". Let's see how things go, eh?

  6. There was a large number of the usual suspects in the build up thread predicting that Liverpool would thrash us. Waiting patiently for some humble pie, people!

  8. The TV commentary I listened to (which included Graeme Le Saux) were full of praise for Wanyama.

  10. Oh ... and what a stunning goal from Clyne!

  12. That should shut up all those doom-sayers predicting 6-0, 4-0, 3-0, etc. Saints looked really impressive. Wanyama was immense - I didn't see him make one mistake. Tackles were all there, and no wayward passing. Tadic and Bertrand were great together on the left. Ward-Prowse was very effective. Our momentum going forward was really good. We were really direct - lots of one-touch passing surging forward. Really, we wuz robbed!

  18. Question: how much have we spent so far in this transfer window?

  20. Thanks for that. One of those Lancasters is based at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum - right here in Hamilton. A Twenty minute drive away. It often flies right over my house each weekend during the summer. You can hear it coming from quite a distance, because of the unique sound of those four engines. http://www.warplane.com/
  21. What is astonishing in Lawrenson's remarks is this statement: "Southampton's business plan seems to be to bring players in, train them up and sell them on, which is great when it works but it is a big ask to do it again and again." Does he not see that the large exodus of players this summer was driven by the players themselves, not a plan of the Club?
  22. From Lawrenson's comments: "they have still not answered the question of how on earth they are going to replace Suarez's goals - not just the quantity but also the quality of his strikes".
  23. Gram Parsons: key figure in American country rock. Played with The Byrds (he was the inspirational core of their LP Sweetheart of the Rodeo) and The Flying Burrito Brothers. Then he recorded two superb LPs with Emmylou Harris: GP (1973) and Grievous Angel (1974). He died in September 1973. He was a friend of Keith Richards - a big influence on the Stones flirtation with country rock in the late 60s/early 70s. Here he is - with Emmylou Harris: "Hickory Wind".
  24. Isgrove and Ward-Prowse off; Taider and Ramirez on.
